With a powerful swipe, the Crowned Head Tiger's paw shattered the thick diamond coating on the back of the gorilla.
Yin's scrunched his eyebrows in shock, blinking twice to make sure he wasn't hallucinating.
The gorilla fell to the floor as the force of the blow dragged it multiple feet across the ground. Its spine was completely shattered on one hit, and its arms were useless.
Yin's plan of letting the tiger weaken was suddenly thrown out the window. This beast was far more fearsome than he had ever thought.
It started to slowly walk over to the gorilla, knowing that it no longer pose any threat, and crushed its head with a single powerful stomp.
'Damn it! If I knew that he would have won so overwhelmingly and easily, I would have used his first strike as an opportunity to attack myself.' Yin thought to himself, bitter about his again missed opportunity.
'Then I guess I have no other choice. It seems this battle was meant to be fair and square.' He said to himself as he looked at the tiger feast and prepared to face it.
Just then, the tiger stopped chewing. Yin was confused, this wasn't good. Why was the tiger acting unnaturally? What did this mean? Surely... the tiger hadn't sensed Yin's presence
The tiger turned it head up out of nowhere, and stared Yin directly in the eyes.
Everything paused for a moment. "Oh? You think I'm still scared of you?" Yin said. He know that the tiger couldn't hear him, but it definitely understood. Jumping from ledge to ledge, Yin made his way down the cliff face and finally landed on the ground only 50 meters away from the tiger.
Sure, it was menacing. Hell, only four weeks ago Yin would have crapped his pants if he were in the same situation as he was now. However, things had changed. Not only his weapon, but his battle skill and mindset had improved.
"Tiger!" He yelled, raising his clawed hands towards to beast. "I will win no matter what! I am prepared to die!" Yin said before started to run towards the beast.
At first the tiger didn't move, as it still hadn't sensed any danger coming from Yin. Yin quickly dashed into the tigers area of attack and slashed at its ribs. Surprisingly, the claws let a shallow cut! Yin immediately backed out of range without giving the tiger time to react, having a large grin on his face; as the tiger took on a fighting pose itself. It was now getting truly serious.
Yin leaped into range once again, this time dashing behind the tiger and cutting the back of its leg to limit mobility. As the tiger turned around to try and swipe its paw it Yin, he had already disappeared. Now, he was at the side again, and had already left multiple slashes onto the skin of the tigers belly before jumping back out of range.
The tiger tried to attack Yin, but to no avail. It began to roar in frustration. This time, the tiger took the initiative, lunging its body towards Yin to attack, however, Yin was simply too fast for the beast.
"Haha! Getting scared now are we!?" He yelled, swiftly cutting the tiger again in small proportions before backing out.
'This is great and all. But If I can't do some real damage soon, I'll gas out before it does.' Yin thought to himself, still performing his same strategy.
As Yin dashed in this time, the tiger predicted his move, and managed to land a paw swipe that sent Yin flying meters away and landing back first onto the ground.
It was a powerful blow that caused all of the air in Yin's lungs to evacuate immediately, but it seemed that he had just barely managed to dodge it's full force by a hair. He feared that if it landed properly, the force of the blow would have easily been enough to cause internal damage to the organs.
'I have to make sure I don't get hit by one of those.' As Yin thought this to himself, he noticed the animal closing its eyes.
'What the hell is it doing?' Yin thought to himself before backing up a couple feet. The unknown was always the scariest thing in a fight.
'I have never seen a beast of any rank close its eyes during a fight. Is this some sort of ability of rampage ranked beasts?' Yin guessed.
The tiger's eyes suddenly flew open again, and now, the golden circle atop its head was emanating a pure gold light! Immediately on opening its eyes, it lunged towards Yin again as it had done many times previously, but this time it was different. Not only was it clearly more powerful, it was far, far quicker as well.
Yin had no time to react, and was hit straight on by a paw on his chest. He was sent flying and slammed against a tree. Blood spewed from his mouth as his chest was left with three deep slashes.
Yin's vison became blurry as his hearing became muffled. He couldn't help but feel dizzy and nauseated. This was far greater than what Yin had expected in terms of strength from even a rampage ranked beast. This was almost fantastical.
'Get yourself together!' Yin thought to himself as he tried to regain his composure, however, he realized that each breath he took felt like a million needles poking at his lungs.
He fell to his knees and threw up a heavy amount of dark red blood. He could sense the beast slowly approaching him from afar. All he could hear right now was a loud siren going off in his head. His breathing felt slow and almost unreal. His heart beat was slowing down.
…
Yin was almost shot back into life like from a gun. All of his sense returned as he regained his sense of reality.
'What the hell was that!?' He was utterly confused right now, but he used his slight newfound strength to stand back up and look at the tiger. It was still quite far away, and walking rather slowly. He knew he had a little bit time to analyze what was going on.
"Who are you? Are you even real or am I hallucinating you!? What are you talking about!? How have I gained back some strength-"
It seemed like this random voice was going into some sort of thought.
"So? What's your point!? That I am just going to die!?"
"What? What's that!? Hey! Where are you going!?"
Yin's yells were either ignored or unheard. He had no idea what the hell was going on, but what he could feel was a weird pain occurring deep in the center of his bones.
Crack!
"Argh!" Yin exclaimed in pain as his bones felt as though they were all cracking at once. This pain felt familiar to that of when he touched the transparent black hand at the cave. It was nearly unbearable. However, it only lasted for a couple of seconds.
After the pain resided, Yin felt a power surge throughout his body. He felt cometpley rejuvenated and exhilarated, ready to fight.
Sensing a little bit of danger from Yin now, The tiger had started to run towards him, but Yin didn't cower. Instead, he started to run as well. He no longer felt any pain. This was pure excitement.
"IM GOING TO WIN!" He yelled as loud as he could. "IM PREPARED TO DIE!" As he said this, the two came jumped into the air and neared contact with each other. The tiger raised both of its paws, attempting to crush the small boy in the middle, and Yin balled his fist as if he had no weapon, and hurdled it towards the chest of the beast.
As the punch travelled, an almost transparent black coating enveloped his entire arm, and finally, landed on the tiger.
