Fuck Joe, I messed up with Sam and now she's not taking my call. Kyle said as he took the drink that Joe immediately poured him.
You told her about the engagement huh? Well it is what it is Kyle! Atleast you told her before the engagement took place! I knew this was going to happen in the end! Joe said with utmost empathy for his friend.
I haven't gotten the chance to tell her about that as yet Joe! She's mad because she called me the day I was drunk at the back with you to find out what my dad said after meeting him in the park and I called her Sarah. She ignored me for several days telling me she was tied up at work and then when we met she asked me if I had anything going on with Sarah and I stalled. She drove off screaming to leave her alone. Kyle said softly.
Fuck noooo, woman hate being called another women's name. Trust me I know! Then leave her alone Kyle! You've damaged that girl enough. Joe said
And you can even look at it from the bright side …if she's finished with you for that then it saves you from telling her the truth! Joe said and toasted with Kyle's glass.
Kyle's phone began to ring and he saw his mother calling,
Yes mother. Kyle answered irritated.
Hi Son, just calling to let you know that we've scheduled a rehearsal on Friday for the engagement okay. It's for 6pm so please be there. she said softly.
Kyle thought of Sam and their meeting.
Sure, but I have to be somewhere by eight! Kyle said in a sad tone.
Yes we'll be done by then okay…love you. Mrs Stephens said as she hung up.
Kyle began drinking alot after. As fast as his mind thought of Sam, he took a drink and before he knew it Joe was taking him at the back room to lay down.
When Joe left him at the back and returned to the bar, Kyle felt that he could get some sleep but as soon as he closed his eyes memories of Sam and him began flooded his mind. Flashes of the park, the night at his home, the cottage and the way he felt when he was inside her. Kyle cried and cried and yet his eyes kept pouring out water until he finally fell asleep.
Sam had gotten up with a migraine and when she checked her phone and saw the missed calls and voice notes left by Kyle, it hurt even more. She accepted that she had to be blamed for this mess in her life with Kyle because she knew from the beginning he was trouble and yet she got involved.
She looked at her planner and saw that she had the planned engagement party on Saturday to cater the cupcakes for. So she got a notepad and started writing and sketching what she would be doing. Atleast she'd be busy this week organizing for the engagement party and could take her mind of Kyle and what was going on with her for a bit.
Sam got up and started organizing her utensils from her kitchen that she would need to display the cake along with the hundreds of cupcakes. She needed to keep herself busy so that Kyle's face would not enter her brain and cause her pain because she missed every thing about him.
