Shiro limped away with a wince. It was only a slight sting from the heat of his skin. His eyes drifted to the stars overhead, bright in the night sky. His head spun dizzily at their brightness. He closed his eyes tightly and focused on breathing. The pain didn't lessen, but it dulled slightly until the dizziness faded into nothing.
Shiro felt like his chest would explode. How he wished he had never come out of cryo.
He took a deep breath and opened his eyes again. It had been over three days since Allura had rescued him from the Galra.
Shiro was now on the Atlas ship with her. The ship's systems were still in shambles and they needed repairs badly. So far, they'd barely made it off the surface of Pluto, let alone to safety. They were stuck. There was no telling how long it would take for them to get back home.
