ENVER POV
My father gave me a pat on the shoulder.
"You did great the last term you were at Royal Elites Academy and I want you to be the top student this year as well."
I nodded quietly.
I didn't want to disappoint my father because he had his own expectations.
My brother and I were always on opposite ends because of this everything was always a competition for us.
"Stay out of trouble, Enver."
"Rune?" He called because he was nowhere to be seen. Of course he didn't want to see me off because he was too pissed to even look at me.
"He's not coming father."
He forced a smile.
"You don't have to worry about anything, I'll talk to your brother and knock some Sense into him."
"Let's not bother him, I'm sure that he has better things to do."
He nodded quietly.
"Have a good term at School and if anything happens don't hesitate to give me a quick call."
I smiled at him and went outside because my driver was already waiting for me.
I glanced back and found myself staring at Rune's window hoping to see his face for the last time.
Or at least get a glimpse of his shadow but his pride and ego wouldn't let him.
It's a shame to think that at some point we used to be close and that we played together when we were both little kids.
We might not have the same mother's but we have the same father and that fact will always make us brothers.
But just to make Rune happy, my father had to send my mother to another country because Rune couldn't stand her.
His biological mother had died years ago and when father remarried again he wasn't pleased but he never hated the woman he married but everything changed when he brought back another woman who was carrying a baby boy in her arms.
That woman was my mother.
It turns out that my father was having an affair outside his marriage and that's how I was born.
But the world doesn't know this little secret but I have a feeling that one day everything will eventually come to light.
It's just a matter of time.
The life of a famous billionaire is always in the spotlight.
In some weird way I was glad that I was away from my brother because I didn't want him near me for a second more.
I looked outside the window again and things still looked the same. It was like I never left at all.
I was back at the Royal Elites Academy once more. I had a feeling that this was going to be a good year.
The car came to a stop near a restaurant.
"Sir, do you need anything to eat?" He asked curiously.
I nodded quietly.
"Yes I think some pizza would be fine Simon as well as a beer."
He cocked a brow at me adjusting his reading glasses.
"Sir you know that you're not allowed to have alcohol especially during school days."
"Okay get me a soda instead."
He nodded quietly and came out of the car.
I sighed deeply.
I looked outside the window and saw her.
The most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on.
She took off her backpack and began climbing on the rails of the bridge.
Holy fuck was she trying to jump?
I got out of the car rushing towards her before it was late.
I could hear Simon calling my name but I never turned back.
All my attention was on the girl in front of me.
She took one step closer and I pulled her by the hoodie she was wearing, yanking back to safety.
She let out a gasp of shock when we both fell to the ground with a thud.
She landed on top of me.
I could feel my heart pounding in my chest violently.
She slowly opened her eyes.
Her blue eyes met mine.
"Are you planning on moving any time soon? Your body is kinda crushing me" I muttered quietly.
She slowly got up, moving away from me.
"Why did you do that?" She asked curiously.
"I didn't want to be saved."
I stared at her in disbelief.
"Have you ever thought about the consequences of your actions?"
"Have you ever thought about how your family will feel if they found out that you comitted suicide?"
She glared at me.
"I don't have a family!"
Tears spilled down her cheeks.
"I have no one so who's going to freaking care when I'm dead?"
I took a step forward placing my hand on her shoulder but she flinched away brushing me off.
She grabbed her backpack and began walking away.
"Hey!"
She didn't look back.
Of course she was pissed that I saved her life.
I went back to the car and found Simon staring at me.
"Sir, what you did was very brave and also dangerous."
"I just don't want to see anyone dying again. I know how it feels to lose someone."
She feels like no one cares about her but someone would be devastated to hear about her death I'm sure of it.
I got inside the car.
"Simon, let's not tell my father or anyone about this incident, let's keep this between us."
He gave me a stern nod and handed me my food.
"You have nothing to worry about."
"Good."
SPARROW POV
Angry tears rolled down to my cheeks and I saw his car driving away.
Why did he have to save me?
There was no way I could find a bus at this hour and by now Nerissa must be on her way here.
She's going to make my life hell.
I had only one option at this moment and that was to go back to the boarding school and try to find my inside before anyone realizes that I'm gone.
I angrily wiped my tears away and began walking back towards the school.
This was a stupid plan to begin with.
By the time I was arriving at the academy again it was pitch black outside.
I could still see the rope I used to climb down hanging loosely on the window.
Before I could climb the rope someone whispered my name and I froze in fear.
"Sparrow?"
I looked up and saw Jodelle watching me.
She looked scared.
"Get your ass up here before the security guards show up" she whispered.
I found myself smiling at her.
I had a feeling that we were going to be good friends.
I managed to climb the rope and slipped inside the room before anyone saw.
I got rid of the rope.
"You decided to make a run for it?" Jodelle angrily yelled.
"I'm sorry but I couldn't stand this place and stop yelling you're going to get us caught."
She sighed deeply.
"What happened?" She asked curiously.
I forced a smile and began unpacking my things.
"I couldn't find a bus."
"So are you planning on sneaking out tomorrow again?"
I shook my head negatively.
"Maybe I'll give this terrible school a try, at least if I graduate I won't have to depend on my mother anymore."
"I'm guessing that you don't get along with her right?"
I nodded quietly.
"Get some rest and I won't tell anyone about a little stunt."
Jodelle touched my hand.
"Hey, your hand is bleeding, what happened?"
"It's nothing, I just fell."
"I'll get it cleaned up after I'm done unpacking my things."
Jodelle nodded quietly and went back to her bed.
I sighed softly.
I must have hurt my hand during that nasty fall.
His gray eyes came to my mind.
After I was done unpacking my things I cleaned myself up and slipped under the covers.
Maybe this school won't be bad after all.
The next morning my alarm woke me up.
Was it already 6. AM?
I got out of bed and to my surprise I already found Jodelle wearing her uniform.
My eyes widened in shock.
"It's only 6.am what time did you get up?"
She smiled at me.
"5.am."
"Come on, take a shower it's almost time for breakfast."
I nodded quietly and went to the bathroom.
A few minutes later I took out my uniform and stared at it.
Jodelle looked puzzled.
"What's wrong now?"
"I've never worn a skirt in my entire life."
She burst out laughing.
I rolled my eyes at her and began getting dressed.
Why on earth was it so short? It barely covered my thighs and ass.
I wore my white long sleeved shirt and plaid skirt which was blue and black in a checker board combination.
I wore my tie and shoes.
"You look pretty."
I checked my appearance in the mirror.
"I look ridiculous."
I grabbed my backpack and followed Jodelle to the dining area since I wasn't familiar with the places here.
But on our way to the cafeteria I guy walked up to me and blocked my way stopping me.
"You owe me a thank you."
I looked him in the eye and scoffed in annoyance.
"I don't owe you anything."
"I saved your life last night, you should be grateful. '' he muttered quietly and walked away leaving me alone.
I turned around staring at him.
Jodelle grabbed my hand.
"You met Enver Knight?" She asked excitedly.
