Jake took another sip from his drink, this was his fifth one which still didn't have any effect on him, he was still sober, the bar was way too crowded today, he sighed tired of waiting for her since an hour.
A lot of girls surrounded him trying to get his attention, "You're waiting for someone?" One of them asked, he ignored her once again as he wasn't in the mood to entertain her, "At least you can answer my question, no need to be this rude!" The girl shouted and left from there.
He was sitting on his regular table waiting for her, he again tried her number which was still switched off. Jake Banged the glass loudly on the table, making everyone stare at him.
He was tired of waiting for her, he was already tired enough dealing with Austin and Jason who were keeping an eye on him, he got up to leave from there when he noticed her, entering the bar the dim lights in the bar made her creamy complexion shine, she was wearing a strapless wine color knee length dress, her blonde hair reached till her shoulders which were curled, her ocean blue eyes could captivate anyone, who didn't know her but they had no effect on him because he could see the evil right through her eyes, when she noticed him she waved her hand smiling at him, he rolled his eyes at her.
"Did I made you wait a lot?" She asked, as she smiled seductively at him, "Why are you asking? Are you going to feel bad for making me wait?" Jake asked, "Tsk, what makes you think I will feel bad for something like this?" She said, as she took his drink from the table and gulped it in one go, Jake wasn't surprised by her behavior.
"You haven't changed a bit, Isabelle." Jake said, Isabelle glanced at him and replied, "But you have changed a lot." She said, staring at him, who was looking quite handsome to her, he was wearing a black shirt and jeans, his blonde hair was always her favorite, his chocolatey complexion has gotten a bit light, and she was sure he goes to gym every day. "If I would have changed who would have come and helped you."
Jake smirked, "The way you are staring at me I'm scared that you might fall for me." Jake stated, she giggled and threw her hands in the air, "Come on, you know I already have my eyes on someone." She hinted.
"I was just thinking, if you have changed so much how would he be now." Isabelle wondered, "I can tell you if you are that curious." Jake offered, Isabelle's eye widens, she wanted to know how he was now.
"Tell me!" She waited for his reply, "Well, but you have to tell me first?" Jake tapped his fingers on the table, irritating her, he knew she never liked it when anyone did that, "About which one do you want to know?"
Isabelle rolled her eyes and glared at him making him chuckle, she hated when he brought up that, "About which one do you want to tell me?" She asked sarcastically, Jake leaned towards her a bit, making her confused and whispered, "The one which you left heartbroken."
Isabelle laughed at his words, she tried to stop her laughter and said, "Mr. Jake, don't make fun of that poor guy." Isabelle said, making Jake chuckle, he was mad at himself for sitting with the girl who played with the heart of the guy, who he once called his friend.
He tried to assure himself that it was all in the past and now they were nothing more than rivals, "So, he is hosting a contest?" She asked, suddenly her happy face turned into a cunning one, Jake knew that she like him, but he was not aware that she was obsessed with him.
"Yeah, maybe he already found someone." Jake told her, he wanted to see her reaction, he noticed how she gripped the glass in her hand, she called the bartender and told him to bring wine for her, "Wine might not be enough to make you forget about him." Jake suggested, "Tsk, no drink in this world can make me forget about him." She replied.
Jake nodded his head at her reply, he wanted to leave but seeing how she was acting all worked up since she started drinking, he didn't want to leave her alone, when she started getting drunk Jake stopped her and dragged her out from the bar, she tried to push him away and even tried to scratch his face with her long nails.
But Jake being a bit strong than her saved himself from her, he made her sit in the backseat of the car, then he sat in the driving seat, when he saw her snoring like a baby he chuckled, "She can't handle herself and I thought she will be able to help me." Jake shook his head in disappointment.
He was glad that he knew where she lives, as she never changed her house since high school, when he reached her apartment, with a lot of difficulty he got her out from the car, he took her till the elevator on his back, she wasn't that heavy for him, but he was sure she wasn't light.
When they reached the third floor, he took the key out from her purse and opened the door, it was completely dark, he carefully walked inside the house, when he found the switches, he turned on the lights and saw what the mess was her house.
She still hasn't unpacked her stuff, and everything was lying on the floor, thankfully she had set up the couch, he put her on the couch and sighed heavily, he was sure his back was going to hurt like hell, she was still sleeping peacefully which surprised Jake.
He was thirsty so he went to the kitchen to drink a glass of water, when he was about to enter the kitchen, he noticed that the door of her bedroom was open, so he went to close it, but in the dark he noticed there was a big frame on the wall, he thought it might be a family photo, so he switched on the light to see it, but to his shock it was their photo, it was a picture the four of them took.
