Chapter 15 - More talk

Opening his eyes, a familiar white room entered Drax's field of vision. The room was still as plain as ever, he noticed, starting to look around. Feeling his body, Drax looked down and he noticed a paw. It would seem that he was transported here looking like a fox. Although that was quite disappointing as Drax wanted to look human again, he was still alright with it. Plus, being a fox was fun if anything else.

Turning his head from side to side, Drax was a little confused whenever he didn't see the goddess of reincarnation anywhere. Hearing a small cough, Drax turned around as the only thing not colored in white filled his vision. Located at the edge of the room was a large brown chair with small golden buttons running across the arms and sides of the chair. The chair seemed to be made of a type of rubbery leather that looked smooth to the touch. One more thing that he noticed was its smell. It smelled like it just came out of a store, leading him to presume that it was probably still new.

And sitting right on top of the fancy looking chair was a small little fox barely bigger than a human hand. Obviously, this was the goddess of reincarnation or also known as Violet. Looking at her, Drax gave a small smile and a nod as his tails started to wag behind him. It has been a while since Drax had seen Violet, so this really did make him happy. Jumping off the chair, Violet hit the ground on all fours as she started to walk in my direction.

Stopping right In front of Drax, Violet looked at him for a second before jumping up and hitting him on the head with her paw. Letting out a yip of pain, Drax brought his paw up to his head and started to rub it as he looked at Violet with resentment. "Don't look at me like that." Violet snapped at Drax, "I've been waiting for you to accept the message ever since you got it. But what do I get? Me waiting around for three days, that's what. Next time, hurry, and don't keep me waiting!!!"

"Sheesh" Drax said as he looked at Violet, "Well aren't you excited." Violet gave him a hard stare before letting out a sigh as she just slowly shook her head. Although, Drax still didn't know what he did wrong. (So, I took an extra three days to open my rewards, it's not like the world's going to end. And if it does, then I must have the worst luck ever.) Thought Drax.

As if sensing Drax's thoughts, Violet's head swung around before looking at him. "It's not nice to talk about someone behind their back Mr. It's Not The End Of The World." Looking at Violet it took a second before what she said was processed by his mind. "Wait, you can read my thoughts!!!" Drax exclaimed. (My luck is the worst.)

Rolling her eyes Violet turned around before walking back to her chair. Jumping back on top of the chair with one fluid movement, Violet turned her body in a complete circle before lying down as she let out a lazy yawn. Curling her tail around her body, Violet started running her claws through her tail's soft fur as she started humming to herself. Standing there in awkward silence, Drax shuffled on his feet. After about a minute of silence with only Violet's humming filling the room, she lifted her head and spoke.

"Anyway, earlier conversation aside, the reason you're here is that I've updated the world's voice a little bit." Looking at Violet with a bit of confusion, Drax asked, "What do you mean?" "Well," said Violet, "You've noticed how your status page doesn't have any of the kind of stats you would see in a game, right?" "Yes," Drax responded, "As I recall, the system said something about it being impossible to define strength or intelligence as well as other things by mere numbers." "This is correct" Said Violet, "But instead of calculating things like health with numbers that tell you how much you have lost or still have, I thought that I could at least make it to where you can see how much of each stat you still have left. Of course, I shall leave out a few stats like strength or intelligence."

"What do you mean?" Drax asked. "Well," said Violet "How to explain, hmmmm, think of it like this. In a game, your stats like HP would usually have numbers telling you how much of each stat you have and how much was lost in exact numbers. Well, instead of that, I have thought of a way to make it easier to know your stats without seeing the number constantly changing. Instead of numbers, I've decided to use percentages, like with your abilities.

"These percentages will help you see how much of a stat you have left. Of course, some stats will be left out, as it would just be weird if you tried to calculate your strength by using a percentage. And although you won't be able to see how much you've improved, it will still allow you to know some crucial details. I've also taken the liberty of adding a few of the things to the update so that you can see the things you're physically and mentally weak to do, so that you can watch out for them in the future. Anyway, I've already finished adding the update, so you can go ahead and check your status now."

Giving a nod, Drax opened his mouth and said, "Show status" and of course right after the word left his mouth a familiar blue status screen popped up right In front of him.

As Drax looked over his stats, he could see several new things appear. Although he was a little apprehensive about a few things. Like about being weak to cuteness. And how can someone be weak to things that are fluffy, it doesn't make sense? And what do the numbers located beside each word and have the stars beside them mean? "Hey system, do you mind?"

[[[The stars and number beside each word give the average level of difficulty the Host will have at trying to reduce the Host's weakness to that particular subject. The difficulty level goes from 1* to 20*, with 1* being the lowest level of difficulty and 20* bring the highest. Host should keep in mind that them being weaknesses does not mean that they will outright hurt Host just from contact, it just means that the weaknesses will have an easier time or will make Host more susceptible in taking damage or lowering hosts guard.]]]

Feeling his ears twitch, Drax wondered if he could get away with hitting Violet. There was no way he was that weak to fluffy and cute things. Feeling the room start to shake, Drax woke up from his thoughts as he started to look around. "Well that's a shame." Hearing Violet's voice, he turned towards her to find her staring at me with a sad smile.

"It would seem that our time is up" Said Violet, "Thank you for the chat Drax. Before you go, one more thing. Take care of that little friend of yours, I think Gale was her name, she will be a critical asset to you in the future. Furthermore, once you're back, do your best to keep your mouth closed or else you might regret it." Feeling the ground tremble, Drax looked down to see a crack spread across the floor. Looking back towards Violet, she gave a small wave before the crack opened up even wider. Falling into the crack, he only had a moment of fear before his vision went back and could no longer feel his body.
