"She doesn't do much."
"She's a baby, of course, she doesn't."
Julia had just been birthed a month ago, the baby did not arrive in the best condition. She was underweight and unable to breathe properly, which led to her stay at the hospital becoming longer than it was supposed to be.
Ian, Ezra, Cameron, and Eugene, the older brothers of young Julia, were excited to finally meet their sister for the first time. They'd only seen her through the glass before, now able to hold her and make her laugh. Unfortunately, she wasn't an emotional baby.
Julia did not laugh or cry, like most babies. While most would appreciate a quiet baby, Elijah, and Mina, were concerned for their child's well-being. All of their kids had been loud and crazy, having a silent child didn't feel normal to them, but it did not mean they loved Julia any less.
Eugene felt that it was his job as the eldest to make Julia laugh. This mission went from making funny faces to injuring himself. Nothing worked until MTV appeared in front of the baby. While the boy thought she was laughing at him, he felt humiliated that she found a moving box more entertaining than himself.
Hips don't lie by Shakira, was the first thing to make the child happy. Not her family, not her food, but music.
Overjoyed that Julia loved to listen to music, the family played music for her 24/7. The girl whined when she heard nursery music, preferring to listen to any pop song. She moved her hands around, kicking her legs, and swinging her arms, it seemed that the baby was ready to dance with the celebrities on tv.
She wasn't, her baby legs were not ready to walk yet.
The family never saw her first steps, by 9 months, Julia was missing from the Carter Household. No one had seen how she'd disappeared, there were no signs of anything to tell what could have happened during the night of quiet sleep.
As years passed, The Carters found no clues of their youngest's whereabouts. Their home was quiet and empty, just a family who kept to themselves with more money than anyone could imagine.
Until, the 17th year, an old deal had been sealed,
"We've found her, remember your end of the deal?"
A sigh left the head of the Carter Family,
"I remember."
