With great difficulty Audrey got out of bed, dragging herself to the stairs that led downstairs. She looked down at the role of stairs for a while, she closed her eyes intentionally crossing her legs causing her to fall. She fell head first, then body next. She had already fallen unconscious before she reached the end of the stairs, her head bleeding profusely.
Audrey found herself in her same dark environment, before she'd get annoyed and also confused on why she always ended up in this place, in a place with darkness and no light. Other times she'd use this place to rewind past events and memories like a movie, but now she had nothing to think about.
She laid on the ground, her stomach on the ground and the side of her face. She took a deep breath adjusting herself waiting to wake up again, such an endless torturous cycle, she thought.
"What did you do this time?", someone asked.
The darkness didn't let her see anything, so she kept her eyes closed the whole time. She knew who the voice belonged to, how couldn't she? It played in her head like a broken record.
"What do want?",she asked in a passive manner.
"What you mean?", He asked taken a back.
"It's seem you like to visit me when ever I'm on the verge of death, well you don't have to worry. I'm not dying, you can go back to where you came from".
"And later I'll be tagged rude", he murmured, but she heard.
"i don't know why you punish me over an incident i had no control of. I never knew he would kiss me, if i did, i wouldn't have danced with him", Audrey said using her hands to push her self up to sit right, not as if sitting would do any good.
Again with this issue, Dean whined in his head.
He took a deep breath then asked,"who accepted his proposal? who danced with him? who gave him the opening for a kiss?".
"you should be happy, you gave me the push I needed. Weren't you the one always on about family, he's my father blah and blah".
"And to let you know, I don't care about what happened with you two. It's a past event, happened months ago, dwelling on it would do me no good".
His words went through her like an arrow shot directly at her heart, this was the guarantee she needed that he hated her.
She heard clicks of shoes walking away from her, before he could walk farther away she launched herself stretching her hands out to grab him. They weren't done talking, she couldn't afford him leaving.
To her surprise she caught his leg, she just gambled whether or not he was real or not. Dean was shocked as well, how did she know exactly where he was. Can she see me?, he asked himself.
"So you do hate me?", she asked crossing her legs, her head facing down still holding on to his leg. She couldn't keep up her tough girl attitude, his words crumbled it.
He didn't struggle nor try to free himself, he just stood still. He could hear her silent sobs.
"don't start crying again, it's getting irritating", he said impassively.
And that did the trick, tears poured out her eyes non stop. She asked herself why his word hurt this bad, she couldn't handle this changed him. His words held no emotions at all, truly he didn't care.
The old Dean would try to comfort her even if it wasn't physically, always had reassuring words. But now he is saying her cries irritated him. Who are you?, she asked fighting her tears back.
Dean knew he had been to harsh so he tried to change the topic.
"You really let yourself go", he said finally turning around. He didn't bother releasing himself from her grip, he just sat down. "When last did you eat?".
At first she was taken back as to his Change in tone, as she brought her hand back to herself, "I don't remember".
who needs food when you can sleep your hunger away, she thought.
"Okay", he said, his voice much more closer and audible. "When was the last time you took a bath?",
"Yesterday",she replied. The only reason she took a bath was because she had been in her own pool of blood for three days, and she couldn't stand the smell, she smelt like a dead body.
"Hmmm", she winced, suddenly feeling a sharp pain in her head. How was she able to feel pains in her unconscious state, everything keeps getting crazier by the minute, she thought.
"Why are you doing this to your self?", he asked, this time she could hear the worry in his tone which gave her relief.
"depriving your self food and care won't solve anything. I'm pretty sure by now you know you're far different from a normal human, if death is what you're looking for, it's not coming anytime soon".
"Where has self care gotten?", she asked.
She already came to the conclusion she wasn't a normal person, because if it was a normal human she'd have died right from the first attempt. This took her back to her junior school days, when she jumped from that talk building. That should have killed her, but here she is now.
As they both conversated what was currently in Audrey's mind was Dean's drastic change. The image of Dean the last time she saw him and Dean right now, are two different people.
Yeah she could accept that he once told her that his natural hair color was white, but it was still a lot to take in, but his manner of dressing and the way he spoke was a whole load of different.
She heard Dean getting up and walking away,"your leaving?".
"I have somewhere I need to be", he said, back to his impassive tone. Not saying a word more he left
