My head felt so heavy, so I laid back. I wonder why he stayed with me all the while I was unconscious, I asked myself. Maybe because he is the one incharge of both I and Lucy, so I am under his care. Yeah that's it, I thought. I closed my eyes because it felt heavy, someone knocked. "Come in", I said. I'm sure the senior must have already told the doctor I'm awake, so they might have sent a nurse to check on me, I thought. The door opened, someone walked in. That's not a nurse, I said in my mind immediately sitting up. "No don't do that your still healing" she said in a rush, her voice was so tiny and light. "I'm susan" she said. She was a light skinned Blondy, she had this creamy porcelain skin with light blue eyes. She had big doe eyes, a Greek nose and peach heavy lower lips. She wore a light blue trouser and an oversized cream long sleeve sweater. She hung a black baguette bag on her shoulder, while holding a bouquet of roses. she looked as soft as marshmellow.
"I'm Preston's class mate and also his friend" she said. "your a college student?" I asked. She nodded with a smile showing her bunny teeth, this girl is a life size doll, I thought. "Hmmm. Your probably here because you have to make sure I'm fine and alive, well im fine. You don't have to stay longer so your other college friends won't talk down on you that your helping a junior school student", I said laying back down. "I don't really care what they think, I am not here because I want to check if your alive. I'm here because I felt really worried and I had the intention to fragrant your stuffy room with fresh roses hoping the sweet scent would get you up, but Thank God your awake" she explained. If only everyone was as sweet and kind as her, maybe the world would have been a better place. "We saw you were in need of help and we came to help" she said with a smile. "We?" I asked. So it's not just one, they are more, I though. "Yes, we. I, Preston, Clifford and Ryley" she listed. "Hmmm.", I said. "They all would have been here but they are quite busy", she said.
" I'll leave you to rest, doctor said you shouldn't under go any form of stress. I'll drop the rose on the table", she said walking towards the table by the side of my bed. She walked over to the door "I hope to hang out with you, when your out of bed and healthy" she said as she opened the door waving at me with a sweet smile. I hope so too, I thought."We will, thank you again for the roses" I said looking at the bouquet of roses to my left. "Don't mention" she said as she closed the door behind her. "I don't know how much longer I would be in this hospital" I told myself as I picked up a rose to take a sniff, "it smells so nice".
I stood up from the bed, took one of the roses and cut a bit of the stem then placed it behind my ear. I removed the drip from my arm then bandaged my wrist with the bandage placed by the bed side.
"I've over stayed my welcome here" I said looking around, the rose does fragrant the room, i thought. I've been here for a week, did Dean come to check up? He must be worried, I thought. On leaving the room I made sure I wasn't spotted by anyone, then succeeded living the hospital. If I was caught, I'd be sent straight back to that room.
Not long after I left the hospital, it started raining. It started of drizzling, then the pressure increased. I thought of running but I was still to weak, so the rain caught up with me. The rain wasn't pretty, it fell so heavy I couldn't even see were I was going. With great difficulty I finally reached the apartment, I placed my hand on my hips where my pockets used to be but then realised i was still in a hospital gown.
"You gotta be kidding me. No. No. No!", I said frantically searching all my body knowing full wel nothing was on me.The rain poured really heavy, and I couldn't stand out here so i walked to the nearest bus stop. I sat on the long of the bus top as the roof over it shielded me a bit, the cold air blew and the heavy rain poured. The cold was to extreme I was finding it hard not to shiver, I could feel it down to my bones. I began shivering really badly, I couldn't stop. The pressure of the rain and coldness of the winds was thick, someone could be swept away by the wind. I struggled to keep my eyes open for a while before I finally shut them.
I felt so warm and comfortable, too comfortable. A bus bench isnt soft, I thought opening my eyes. I sat up immediately, but I held my head. I sat up to quick, it affected my head, I felt dizzy. I scanned the room, the room was beautiful, but where was I?. "How did I get here, Where am I?" I asked out loud while holding my head, it hurt so bad. "Your awake", someone said. It sounded so familiar, I traced the voice to the fire place. "Oh you again" I said after seeing who it was, it was that senior. Why are we always meeting or was he stalking me?. "Aren't you meant to be in the hospital?" he asked. "I didn't like it there and I needed to see a friend", I said straight forward folding my legs on the bed. But now that I heard what I said, I felt dumb. I'm going to receive a scolding,I thought. "How stupid and arrogant can you be to leave the hospital at your state to meet a friend and worse in this weather?" he asked angrily as expected.
"I didn't leave under the rain, it caught up to me. I had the intention of going home, but I forgot my keys at the hospital. I guess I'm not welcome here" I said furiously crawling down the bed, did he always have to be so mean. He'll definitely grow old quick,I thought. "Where do you think you can go by this time?. How can someone be this spoilt, no sense of appreciation. I would have just left you under that bus bench to learn your lesson-".
"Yes maybe you should have. Maybe some one with a better approach and good intentions would have come to help me. Or if none, at least I would have frozen to death " I said so angry I couldn't contain it. "and maybe died, finally I'd leave this dreadful world for those who want it". Who did he think he is, speaking as tho I begged to come over. All those times I spent under the rain no shelter did I die? No.
"You miss understood my words" he said. "Then what did you mean?" I asked getting down from the bed. Lucky the rain has stopped, I'll go over to Dean's. I took a step forward and the most terrible headache struck.
