As soon as Kim left Alec's hospital room, she headed straight to their vehicle parked outside. Thanks to her invisibility she was able to get inside the car.
"Who the hell was that boy to think he could manipulate my dad into doing his bidding?" Kim blurted out, pissed at her dad's kindness towards Alec. If only she could do something.
Meanwhile, Alec ran out of the hospital room, trying to catch up with Karg who appeared to be taking walks outstandingly fast.
"At least he should have known that I'm still at the point of recovery and not yet sturdy for this," Alec muttered in contrast to how he actually felt. He was feeling super energetic, chasing after Karg.
While chasing after Karg, Alec never once ran out of breath which was in distinction to his usual self.
"I guess this is the work of the system," Alec muttered thoughtfully.
After a few moments of pacing, Karg finally halted his steps in front of the sanatorium laundry store.
Turning to Alec who truly arrived unfazed, Karg couldn't help but think.
'Pretty sturdy for a youthful boy who without a doubt got into an accident a while ago.'
"Now go in and change into anything you like," Karg stated as he pointed at the laundry entrance.
"But my clothes are simply fine," Alec replied, looking down at his clothes to check if there was any dirt on them.
"No offense though, but this clothes are already torn, dirty, old-fashioned, and worn out. Why don't you change into something more new and clean," Karg uttered in an evenly best voice.
Looking around, Alec saw he was the only odd one in dressing there.
'I guess I have no other choice then,' Alec halfheartedly agreed.
"Okay sir," Alec answered before entering the laundry store.
After Alec left, Karg pondered how Alec was able to heal himself even before they would reach the hospital.
"I believe you have a notable affinity for recuperation abilities, Kid and that is quite extraordinarily special these days. Not only that but immense stamina also," Karg muttered, realizing how Alec was able to catch up with his speedy strolls without running out of breath.
A few minutes later, Alec stepped out of the laundry store wearing a v-neck plain polo and black sweatpants.
"I think this is better than the other one. Come let's go," Karg complimented before walking out, this time a little faster.
"Let's see how you catch up with me without running out of breath," Karg muttered inwardly with a smirk.
"Oh shit, what with the rush? You should have told me you wanted a chase, not this way," Alec cried inwardly as he accompanied Karg and equally grew his pace.
Not only was his strength affected by the system but his senses also heightened at an incredibly high rate.
Currently, he was able to see things from afar, though not too far. Hear the distant cries of newborn babies at far wards, and additionally can experience the thinnest scent of something.
Karg was amazed to see Alec at his back as if tailing him closely.
"What? Not only did he have an affinity for recuperating ability but speed ability also. He must have come from an incredibly powerful family, to be able to have two affinities," Karg thought.
Soon the two of them reached the car and got in.
.
Karg already knew that Kim was in the front seat since he was one of the very few people that see through her invisibility, so he urged Alec to enter the back seat.
"Put on your belt Alec, this town now has stricter driving rules," Karg informed before entering the road.
Though Alec didn't know what Karg was talking about, his Mystique skill was quite useful in guiding him on how to do it.
"How does he manage to move this car so fast?" Alec pondered inwardly. His skill only gave him the name of the object without any description.
After hesitating for a while, Alec asked.
"Sir, can I ask you a question?"
Alec was Inwardly thankful for how the smug younger female left earlier else he should no longer think about how she was gonna react to the question he was about to ask.
"Sure Alec, go on I'm all ears," Karg responded with eyes still glued on the road
"How did you manage to get this object to move fast? Is it also an ability?" Alec asked with a reduced chin, not knowing how Karg would react to the question.
Karg was honestly taken aback by that question but he nevertheless managed to answer.
"This is called a car and it is automated. The engine is its powerhouse."
Kim, who had been keeping quiet all this while, burst out in anger when she heard Alec ask that question. With the anger in her, she wasn't aware of when she burst out of her invisibility.
"And who the fuck wouldn't know what a vehicle is? Dad, I can't believe you are actually answering this weirdo."
"Language, Kim!" Karg scolded without even bothering to look at her face.
Kim could not help but throw piercing stares at Alec who in return swallowed nervously.
"How can someone be so ignorant about life?" Kim shrugged, leaning back in her seat.
Alec wasn't expecting the arrogant Kim to be in the same car with them. He thought she got angry and left.
Once again, the car was filled with silence as no one talked again.
However, the silence lasted for a few minutes cause something suddenly hit their car, making it come to an abrupt stop
"These dickheads again. Stay in the car and don't fucking come out unless you want your ass burnt," Kim commanded before stepping out of the car with her father.
"Wait? What? Are they gonna go into hand combat with the so-called dickheads with nothing as weapons?! Come on, even in fable stories the protagonists use weapons to battle an enemy unless-" his theoretical thoughts were interrupted by a heavy black blood blister on the vehicle window, creeping the shit out of him.
Quickly looking out the window, he saw Kim fighting flawlessly with her sword-like dagger, while Karg snipped the intruder's necks with his bare hands.
"What the heck? But she got out of the car with nothing as a weapon," Alec pondered in bewilderment, looking at the daggers in Kimberley's hands.
Curiosity got the best of him, and also, seeing that the two was handling the fight quite well, he decided to step out of the car to have a better look.
The intruders had sturdy black humanoid leathery-body. In their backs were bat-like wings and a pair of protruding horns in their head with sharp claws as well.
Strangely, Alec was unaffected by the sight of blood before his eyes which was very unlike his usual self. If it was to be his past self he already must have started throwing out things from his intestines.
Seeing the dead bodies of several dickheads on the ground, he suddenly remembered his new skill.
"Maybe it will show me the details of this dickhead," Alec thought.
As soon as he thought of the skill while looking at the dead bodies, a message appeared before his eyes.
Ding!

"Whoa, it worked," Alec had a good time inwardly.
Just then some different messages came.
Ding!
[A Quest has been received]
[Eliminate Demon on sight or flip to slave]
[Reward: Instant level up to 3]
When Alec saw the offer his eyes widened in shock. The system was actually asking him to kill a demon or turn it into his slave but the question was, how?
As Alec thought of this, a half-dead demon that managed to escape Kimberley's dagger, stood up with only limbs and strode towards Alec.
