Chapter 3 - MASHELLUS ( Teresa's POV)

"Princess Marimus, princess Varius. It's almost time before your teacher arrives. I've gotten another dress for you both, since you've messed up the one on you". I said holding up the clothes in display,as I was trying to catch my breath. Which was caused by the twins,as they made her chase them. ' Why are they doing this to me today' I thought, almost crying in my head. I turned as I decided to leave them to whatever they were doing.' They would get tired soon'. I smiled at my thought. I was about to sit when the door swung open which jolted me back to my feet." Marimus, Varius dad wants to take you both for your lesson. King Agememnom said with a wide smile on his face. This caused the twins to run behind me for shield." How about that?" The king asked with pleading eyes." Sorry dad, but Teresa was about to do so. Marimus said and Varius nodded in agreement.'Oh this twins will never get along with their dad. I really hope the next one will'. I thought while looking at the king with pity in my eyes.

" Okay, you both should behave well in class, okay?" "Okay dad". They both chorused." Teresa dress me first". " No I'm less dirty. So please dress me first"." You really love wishing, there is chocolate allover your face. You need a bath, cause you really are dirty". I watched with the king the way the twins fought to be first with words and not action. They needed action to become the first. The king chuckled at their laziness and left the room. Then I decided to disrupt their argument. "Do you girls really want to know the truth?" I asked and gained their attention as I stooped to their level. " Yes Teresa, tell her she's more dirty". " No she is. Please tell her".' Oh really, I thought their argument had ended there. They are surely going to make me mad one day.' I thought almost crying." Okay, the truth is,"I said louder than before to stop them from arguing further. And they faced me instantly." You both are dirty". I ended my sentence." What!" They both said having a frown on their faces." Yes that's the truth. Come let's get these beauties cleaned up. Come on". Their faces maintained the frown but they had no other choice than to follow me.

( Agememnom POV)

" The queen told me you agreed to give an army in exchange for my daughter's hand in marriage"." Yes, you are right but not totally"." Huh?". " I'm not the one who asked". "Then who did?" I asked curiosity almost eating me up."I asked on behalf of my son". " Prince Carios?" " You are absolutely right". " But isn't he young to think of marriage. If I'm not mistaken, isn't he just six years of age?" I wondered what was wrong with Carios. He hasn't even set his eyes on her. Leaving that aside, they are both young." Hehe, I see you are lost in thought. He didn't actually ask. I asked because I know when she's sixteen years of age you will organise a party to attract suitors for her marriage". Upon hearing this my mouth carved into a form of 'oh'." Don't get it twisted, I'm doing this to enhance our kingdom's mutual relationship. And that aside I see nothing to gain from your kingdom cause," He leaned closer . "I have everything at my disposal". A smile formed at the side of my lips.' He won't get this pride off his sight' I thought internally. " I really hope they get to fall in love with each other".' On the contrary I don't. Cause his son will grow up to be like him'. " Yes, I hope so. I will be leaving now since my reason for being here has been discussed". He said as he rose". " I wondered the reason you came all the way from Gothen to Vetimom all by yourself. But now I realize it's personal". " Yes , totally". He made a move to leave when he sighted Mashellus, the head of maids and servants' daughter in this palace. Which made him to pause in his tracks. His lust for her was very visible in his eyes. Then a thought cunningly crept into my heart. " On a second thought". King Agriba turned to face me. " I will love to have that lady as my bride". I shifted my gaze from Agriba to Mashellus who was almost out of sight." Do you mean, Mashellus?" I asked knowing fully who he was talking about. " What a beautiful name. 'As proud as he turn out be proud he can't hide hisa lust which turns out to be hideous'.I thought internally as an ugly expression made its way to my face. " Well you have to increase the army to armies". I said to snap him out of his thought. " What?" " Does she look like a maid in this palace?" I questioned his shocked expression with a lifted eyebrow. " Yes I wondered the reason she wasn't dressed as a maid. Is she of a noble blood?" " Of course". I gave him a short reply. " Then I shouldn't be having this discussion with you, rather, her father. Take me to him?" He tried ordering but had to keep calm. I scoffed then leaned forward to take one, from the two glasses of wine placed on the table and took a sip from it. " I'm afraid to break this to you. Her father is dead. Then I decided to take her as my responsibility". I stood to face him. " That makes me her father". I said and that caused a frown to settle on his face. ' Now you have to oblige to my demands, because this one you asked is for yourself and no one". I thought as a smirk carved up my lips. " You asked for armies, you have it". " nononononono, not armies but have half of your armies". " Huh?" " I asked for half because, I need them really skilled". I said as polite as I could be and smiled politely. Then he let out a frustrated sigh. "Half of my armies you asked and you have it. Just get her to marry me, okay?" " Of course. Just keep your words and I'll keep mine". I said. " Then that calls off the marriage between your son and my daughter". I said conclusively. " Yes, of course". Now he had almost gotten to the door. " Should I send some of my guards to excort you?" I asked almost yelling as he had gotten far. Then he turned to face me with a mocking smile on his face. " Do you mean the guards that aren't skilled enough to shush a rodent should excort me? Hahahaha, king Agememnom you really are funny". He asked mockingly, then turned to leave. ' Laugh all you want, Agriba. Cause it's better to be a fool at sight and not a fool at heart' I thought having a sinister smile on my lips.
