Vincent carried Joana behind his back, he didn't want Sean to hurt Joana because he knew that Sean, who was a regular at the club, was an arrogant man who didn't even hesitate to hurt women. The name Sean is familiar in this club, in fact he is a friend and business partner of Edgar, the owner of the night club.
"Since when have there been bitches acting as chaste as you, Miss?" sarcasm Sean while smiling politely towards Joana.
Joana, who felt disapproved of Sean's words, pushed forward to remove Vincent's body from before him.
Plakk
Joana slapped Sean with all her might even the hand she was using hurt. Sean's face turned to the other side when he received a slap from Joana, instead of being angry the man smiled a smirk at Joana.
"Watch your words, arrogant man!" with heaving breath Joana pointed at Sean's face. He felt angry when Sean called him a bitch.
"Which words? Isn't it true that you are a bitch? The proof is that you got a check from the old man, and it proves that you were just paid by the old man because your service was very good, right?" Sean asked, wiping the corners of his lips that were chapped by Joana's slap.
"You!!!" Joana's ire was advancing but her body was being restrained by Vincent.
"Never mind Joana, just let him go back to the back!" Vincent tries to separate Joana and Sean.
"But he called me a bitch Vincent, I can't accept it because I'm not that kind of girl! You know what my job is even though I work in a nightclub." Joana turned to Vincent as he told him to go to the back.
"Where's a bitch claiming to be a bitch?" Sean cynically walked away leaving Joana and Vincent.
Sean came home annoyed because he had just been slapped by a woman. 'Tch, how dare that bitch touch my face, even though I'm sick of touching dirty women like them,' thought Sean who judged that all women are the same.
He returned to his apartment which was not far from the night club. Arriving at his apartment, Sean went to the bathroom, he cleaned himself under the shower, feeling every drop of water that seeped into the pores of his skin. Finished with his activities, Sean felt his face which was hot from Joana's slap.
"Apparently the woman's slap was pretty good, my face felt hot," Sean muttered as he headed to the kitchen to get ice cubes.
While at the club, Joana continues to grumble, feeling dissatisfied with slapping Sean's spicy mouth, who casually says that he is a bitch.
"You crazy man, it's easy to say I'm a bitch. Is it because I work at a club that he looks at me like most women?" Joana grumbled that Vincent heard.
"Never mind, it's not good to keep grumbling, your face will appear wrinkled," Vincent teased, which managed to make Joana turn to him.
"Don't tease me Vin! I'm lazy, annoyed and also angry."
"Okay, okay Sweetie, but my drink is still two bottles right?" Vincent collects the treat that Joana promised.
The girl patted her forehead, Joana forgot what she said to treat Vincent to face Sean.
"Ah, of course... Come on!" Joana pulled Vincent's hand to the bartender's front desk, they sat down to order like the other diners.
"Two bottles of the best wine for Vincent, please, and a glass of soda for me!" Joana shouted at the bartender.
"You've worked here for a long time, but still drink soda? Have you ever thought about trying wine?" asked Vincent. Joana just shrugged her shoulders indifferently to Vincent's question.
Their orders came, even the bartender who brought Joana's orders also joined. Joana left after paying for Vincent's drink, returning to the table she had been sitting at for months.
The girl dreamily misses the figure of her younger brother Garry who has not seen her for a long time, she did not expect her new life at Edgars club to change her life. There was no more intimidation of any kind from the Wilson family, there was only concern for his coworkers at the club. They were all like family to him. Especially his guardian angel, Edgar.
While daydreaming he was surprised by Edgar's clapping.
"What are you daydreaming about, Joana? Do you miss someone?" asked Edgar sitting down at Joana's desk.
The girl sighed as she looked at Edgar.
"I miss my brother Garry, Ed. I haven't seen him for several months, not even to chat and exchange news. I just want to make sure he's okay too, Ed," said Agatha.
"Why don't you just call?" Edgar frowned in confusion with Joana.
The girl took a deep breath instead, then propped her cheek against the table.
"The thing is, I don't have Garry's number, Ed," Joana said then dropped her head on the table.
"You know your sister's class schedule? If you know, just go to her campus!" Edgar's suggestion made Joana straighten up with a sun-bright smile at the man who was now smiling at her.
"Why didn't I think of that? You're right Ed, I can meet my sister at her college." Joana looks happy to hear the suggestion from Edgar. He even forgot to have an argument with an arrogant man whose name he didn't know.
Edgar ruffled Joana's hair causing the girl to purse her lips.
"I'm just going home Ed, I'm tired and want to rest, tomorrow I'll meet Garry on campus!" said Joana as she stood up and grabbed her bag. Edgar stood up and extended his hand towards Joana.
"Let me take you!" said Edgar who was immediately greeted by Joana's head nod.
They left the club through the back street, because it was a special way for the employees to get in and out without disturbing visitors.
The streets of London, which are never quiet even at night, make their journey a little slow. Joana and Edgar have a small talk about their respective jobs.
About thirty minutes later they arrived at the basement of Edgar's apartment which was occupied by Joana.
The two of them took the elevator to the twentieth floor where Edgar's apartment was.
Ting!
The sound of the elevator opening made Joana step languidly.
"Why are you Joana?" asked Edgar but the girl just shook her head as she continued walking, tired of Joana accidentally bumping into someone.
Brukk
Joana fell before Edgar could help her.
"Are you okay?" asked Edgar.
Joana nodded, it was her fault for walking without paying attention to her surroundings.
"I'm sorry, Tu...." Joana's words hang after seeing who she hit just now, as well as the man.
"You!!!" accused the man pointing his index finger at Joana.
The girl snorted without bothering to apologize to Sean.
Yes, the man who was hit by Joana was Sean Antonio William, apparently their apartment was in the same area and floor.
Before Joana entered the room, she waited for Edgar who still hadn't followed her. The long wait made Joana tired, so she decided to follow Edgar who was still outside.
The man was seen chatting with the person who had hit him.
"Ed, do you want to stop by or not? Otherwise I'll just clean myself up and go to bed," said Joana after approaching Edgar, Sean turned his head with a cynical look as if he underestimated Joana.
"Am I not mistaken to see Edgar replacing the late Emily with a bitch?" Sean's sarcasm made both Edgar and Joana glare at him.
Especially Edgar, he didn't expect his business partner and club customer to call a girl like Joana a bitch.
"Excuse me sir Sean, who do you mean?" asked Edgar to make sure that Sean didn't mean Joana, but Sean's gaze that went straight to Joana made Edgar not ask much more.
"Who else if not a woman who just asked you whether to stop by or not, even though I had visited your club and he got a big fee from an old and fat man, even he treated his friends to drink only 2 bottles of wine wasn't that including being stingy for women that old men have paid dearly for!" said Sean without taking his eyes off Joana's tired face.
Edgar, who was about to speak, was stifled by Joana shaking his head.
"You better go home Ed! Next time I tell you, be careful on the road and have a good rest!" said Joana without wanting to argue with Sean, she was really tired, coupled with Sean's spicy talk made her head dizzy.
"Be careful in choosing a woman, that's my message to you! Don't let you experience something similar to what I felt before!" said Sean as Edgar said goodbye to the two men who were glaring at each other scornfully.
Edgar left Sean and Joana, he wondered what had happened between Joana and Sean why did they look like enemies?
