CHAPTER 6:
"Well, you have both good news and bad news. The good news is that I am your partner." Gaia said.
"And the bad?" Anya asked.
"The bad news is that it's a three-man project and I am stuck with you of all people." Randy said.
"What! No, no way on earth." Anya said standing up.
"Oh please, you are not important, not even the littlest bit, so don't act like you are royal because you are not. Anyways you two meet me in my dorm tomorrow evening, I got Sofia Carson coming to my dorm tonight so I don't need distraction." Randy said standing up to leave.
"Can you keep the moaning sounds a bit low tonight? I am tired of hearing you screw girls all the time." Anya asked rolling her eyes. It was bad enough that she was his neighbor, now she had to hear him fuck bitches up, and down.
"Perks of being my neighbors. You know that you are welcome to join if you want." Randy concluded winking at Anya before leaving them behind.
"What do you see in that guy anyways, I wonder why you hate him, that much? Besides he is my best friend" Gaia asked shaking her head..
"I know that but I know that you could at least done better while choosing a best friend." Anya said.
"I was 10, and you know what, I still don't see why you hate him so much." Gaia said.
"Don't worry, the feeling is mutual, he hates me too. I never liked that kind anyways." Anya said underneath her breath.
"Their kind? What the hell do you mean by their kind?" Gaia asked confused.
"Oh, you know what I mean, rich spoilt little brats who think they can get everything they ever wanted just by snapping their fingers." Anya said.
"I see, but Randy is not like that, he's…. What about Leo? Have you heard from him?" Gaia said changing the topic.
"Oh, Leo. Yeah, he is in town, he said that he will swing by my dorm later." Anya said blushing.
"I know you can't wait before you devour him. See how you are blushing already just at the mention of his name. you really got it bad for him, huh?" Gaia asked.
"Well, I am not tripping over him..." Anya started.
"Are you kidding me? You look at him like he's your entire world and look, your face is red, just from blushing." She pointed out.
"Okay, okay, fine, Leo is the best thing that ever happened to me, he is all that I need in a boyfriend. He is sweet, kind, caring, independent, loyal, breathtaking, dreamy, hot..." Anya said smiling like a girl in love.
"Okay, okay, sheesh. It's okay. I get you. Stop before you put pictures in my head. He's the love of your life, I get it. But trust me when I say, that it won't last. Boys always break hearts and yours won't be the first." Anya said.
"Don't say that, Leo is different, he has always made promises to me, about how we would get married, after school, live in a white picket fence and make cubs."
"Cubs?" Anya asked raising her eyebrow.
"Yeah, that's what he always calls children, I don't know why, I think it's a slang or something but it doesn't matter because I like the sounds of cubs."
"Okay, I can see that you are high on whatever Leo is feeding to you these days. I have to get going now." Gaia said standing up.
"Wait, why" Anya asked as she stood up too.
"I am going to my class, I have an afternoon class to get to, while you on the other hand, your classes are over for today, so you should get home and daydream about cubs till he comes ok? But, me, miss independent, over here. I have a life, a realistic life, so bye." Gaia said pecking her cheeks before leaving.
"Bye. Anya said watching her leave.
***********************
Nia stood in front of Romeo trying to convince him not to go across the boundary.
"It's a dangerous idea, you could get killed by rogue wolves and you are going without any backup? Why?"
"I have to do this, we need our pack doctor, our wolves are slowly dying, Sandra is a darling but she is still inexperienced, she can't save our wolves." Romeo said trying to reason with her.
"But, why do you have to go? You are the alpha, if anything happens to you, the pack won't be able to bear it…. I won't be able to. Why don't you let Liam go?"
"I can't. Like you said, I am the alpha. I need to protect my pack from danger, I can't send my people running head on into danger. I have to do this." Romeo said holding her hands.
"But do you have to? She left, of her own freewill, she just packed her bags and left. And now you are going after her to beg her to come back. Is she that important to you? Why does she get special treatment?"
"Stop putting it that way. She's family and she always will be, she has a place here and more importantly a role to play in this war, we need her more than ever." Romeo said.
"How long will you be gone?" Nia asked sighing.
"At most, a day and half, don't worry. I will come back unharmed. Nothing will happen to me ok?" Romeo said kissing her forehead.
"I really wish I could believe you, but the last time, a rogue wolf attacked, you almost died, and now you are going to their territory unarmed. This is pure suicide."
"I really wish that there was another way for this to happen, but there isn't. all the wolves are either sick nor wounded, and we can't let the few good ones here to leave with me, this place will be completely defenseless. What if this is the opportunity that they are looking for? Are you going to just give it to them?" Romeo asked trying to convince her.
"No, I am not. You have to go out there, I understand you. But you better come back here unharmed or don't come back at all." Nia said kissing him.
