Chapter 4 - Worry

Nessie was still silent, and time moved so slowly. Elsi approached Nessie and grasped her hand even though her hands were already free of blood.

"I'm great," you said.

Nessie gave a firm nod before noticing Elsi's dust-covered head, which appeared to have been struck by something. Elsi understood that.

Asking Elsi," Shall we go to the hospital?" take Nessie.

Elsi murmured, "But I want you to treat me."

Elsi accepted with a gentle nod. At least Nessie is the only friend Elsi can confide in, and Nessie won't just tell anyone. The wind, which had been severe, started to decrease on its own as they moved slowly in the direction of the hospital.

Elsi could see that Nessie was worried about her because of how tightly she was holding her hand. Nessie was a true friend to Elsi, who was reserved, heartless, and seldom ever spoke. Elsi likes to spend a lot of time only with her closest friends.

Nessi entered the room and uttered, "Pardon me." However, nobody was there; not even the instructor who served on the infirmary watch was present.

"How is Mrs. Vian doing?"  Nessie spoke angrily about the careless teacher.

"Screw it, I'm good too,"

After instructing Elsi to sit on the white-covered bed, Nessie searched for the accident's first aid kit by the entrance. Nessie arrived shortly after they met with the box to give Elsi her medication.

"Edgar was looking for you, so I'll contact him first, all right?"

Elsi instantly seized Nessie's hand, even though Nessie had already opened the medicine for her to drop on her hair. Nessie remembered the boy who had been searching the school for Elsi.

"Not now; later. Together, let's travel there," Elsi shouted.

Nessie complies with Elsi's orders because she appears in good health.

Even though the scar was still attached to Elsi's hair, Nessie searched for the spot of the wound in her hair and searched for the cause of the wound numerous times. But what makes it weird is that his hair shows no signs of any wounds.

"Where did the injury occur? Neither here nor there," Curious, Nessie exclaimed.

Elsi considered for a second whether the wound had closed because she was unaware that it would heal on its own. Elsie pondered.

It was too late for Elsi to use logic; she was terrified of being discovered. With no idea what to do, Elsi rolled her eyes.

"Where did the injury occur?"  Nessie commanded Elsi to come out of her reverie.

Elsi murmured, "Eh.... It's just a drop," and then remained silent.

Although Elsi purposefully held her head when Nessie wanted to talk to her in-depth, Nessie felt quite weird.

"What do you have to say? The what?" Nessie said.

"I'm just feeling woozy; I suppose I should relax."

Nessie once more sealed the yellow drops before grabbing a pillow and lying down next to Elsi.

"Is Edgar on the phone? You must be on his mind."

Elsi simply nodded while her eyes were closed. Before departing, Nessie turned to face Elsi, who had her eyes closed. Nessie was genuinely perplexed about what had transpired. But it appears that Elsi would rather relax than chat much.

"Maybe I'll chat to Elsi next time," Nessie reasoned.

Edgar stumbled over to the medical facility and quickly opened the door. His expression was very anxious.

"Why did you not let me know you were ill? I've been trying to find you for a while," Edgar remarked tensely.

"Noisy, I want to sleep," Elsi said, pouting her lips and opening her eyes.

"What is wrong with you, I ask?"

When Edgar sensed Elsi was on the verge of passing out, he used all of his effort to shake Elsi's body.

Elsi responded, "Geez, I just want to rest, don't worry me," sounding irritated.

Elsi's eyes widened in disbelief when Edgar held her after ceasing to irritate her. He was either thrilled by Edgar's embrace or the human fragrance. Elsi normally doesn't consume human flesh or blood, but given Edgar's attitude, it's only natural that Elsi becomes startled and alarmed all of a sudden. Edgar was pushed by Elsi, though not with his superhuman strength, and fell severely.

Bruck!!! How could Edgar not scream in agony like a broken bone? Elsi promptly sat up and bit her lower lip after Edgar tumbled from the bed to the floor.

He muttered, "Even though I don't utilize energy."

Elsi's words were lost on Edgar. He was only holding his hand as he stumbled and hit the ground with his head first.

Edgar exclaimed, "You want to kill me, huh?"

Although it was only a joke to Edgar, Elsi, who had wolf-like strength, believed she had come dangerously close to killing the frail human.

Elsi jumped in front of Edgar and assisted him till he got up. "Sorry, man, it hurts a lot. I wasn't trying to."

Edgar shook his head as he observed Elsi's guilty expression.

"You know, if you get harmed, I'll be more concerned. This is meaningless, " said Edgar with a smile.

Elsi shook her head and got up to go lie down on the bed she had been sitting on.

Edgar, who was still seated on the floor, asked, "You didn't assist me?"

'No need,' you are strong,' he said.

Elsi was often indifferent and curt with Edgar; as a result, Edgar pursed his lips before standing up independently. Then, Edgar turned to face Elsi.

"You won't be giving me another hug, are you?"  To Edgar, Elsi's remarks felt like a threat.

"No," Edgar said sheepishly, remembering that he had been foolish enough to immobilize Elsi. Nevertheless, Edgar was glad to see Elsi's timid expression.

"You appear ill, your hair." Edgar paused in mid-sentence as a memory of being assisted by a woman with short hair came to mind.

"Are you sure you won't stay here forever? You can't be in an old structure where the roof tiles nearly collapsed, can you?"

Deg... Elsi simply felt as though she didn't need to consider anything else, but has Edgar's recollection of him become stronger over time? Elsi continued to remain silent while asking Edgar several questions.
