Chapter 6 - A Like Me

When Edgar was about to put the ball into the hoop while playing basketball with his buddies, Elsi came over to him. The crowd roared as they were upset by Elsi's attitude, which abruptly ended the game of the men wearing red sports shirts.

Even though Edgar hadn't spoken, Elsi pulled Edgar's hand and said, "I need to talk to you. Please come out of the basketball court." The ball was in Edgar's hand when he threw it at his friend so they could go on without him.

How would you like to respond? Will it be possible if me to win the match? Edgar mumbled.

"This is crucial."

"What? Has anything happened?"

"Take me to your house, " Elsi said, shaking her head.

"What was I thinking, Elsi? Then what? Why are you moving so quickly? Just unwind," Edgar yelled.

Elsi scowled so that Edgar became immobile.

Edgar laughed and replied, "Yeah, yeah, I'll take you after school, but there's a condition."

Edgar's hand was instantly dragged firmly forward by Elsi. Elsi scowled, nearly irritated by Edgar's guess, but she made an effort to keep her composure and suppress her feelings.

Elsi said, "Okay, what do you want?"

Edgar grinned. He said, whining, "Bring me this book to the library."

Elsi did not respond; instead, she instantly walked in the direction that Edgar requested. As Elsi and Edgar made their way to Edgar's class, Edgar was pleased to discover that Elsi had listened to him. Elsi frequently wished to follow Edgar's instructions. Elsi assisted Edgar in moving the books inside the teacher's room without him having to go back and forth because he found it difficult to move the books on his own.

Elsi, who had not brought many books, was stopped by Edgar at the junction.

He said, "I packed this much so you're not too heavy to carry it."

Elsi merely misjudged Edgar's words in her heart.

"All right," Elsi said.

Elsi giggled quietly even though she had seen Edgar carrying the books and he appeared distressed.

Someone immediately blocked Elsi as he was going to hand her his book, and he purposefully slammed his body at Elsi to make her bounce. Elsi was shocked to see such a powerful human, which is why she collapsed.

Immediately assisting Elsi, Edgar asked, "Are you okay?"

Elsi turned her attention to the boy with dark brown hair right away, giving him a cynical stare in return.

"Do you follow the correct path? You nearly killed a person," Edgar yelled at the young man.

When the boy reached Elsi, he grinned and said, "Human, huh?"

For as long as he was in the human world, Elsi avoided the youngster because he smelled of hoya flowers, which led Elsi to believe that the boy was not human. Before meeting the boy, Elsi had only ever known members of his kind who were still living among humans.

Still shouting at the man, Edgar exclaimed, "Didn't you hear me?!"

He glanced at Edgar and murmured, "I'm sorry."

Elsi continued to stare at the man after he vanished without leaving a trace."

"Do you enjoy him?"

Elsi continued glancing toward the man, and Egdar felt it.

Elsie questioned, "Who is she?"

"Why on earth? How about him?"

For a brief period, Elsi was silent as Edgar grew impatient with her.

"Are you fond of him?"

When Elsi became frustrated with Edgar's incessant inquiries, she forced the book into his hands until he was overcome. Elsi simply turned around and went away.

"What's your destination? Not assisting me?"

Elsi disregarded him and carried on.

Nessie asked Elsi, who had an irate expression, "What are you doing?"

"You must be familiar with a man with brown hair. I believe I recently saw a person like that at our school."

"Oh, Vian, what's up? How about it? He is a student who alternates between classes. He is smart, of course. Why? How about him?"

Elsi examined what Nessie had indicated out the window on the exterior. Why do people constantly equate love with questions, he wondered in his mind. Elsi approached the man shamelessly. Even though numerous lines were waiting to approach the man and simply talk to him, Elsi took all the lines.

Another woman yelled, "Don't transgress on your own!"

Up until she was in front of the man, Elsi didn't give a damn.

"I want to talk to you, Vian."

"Which do you require? Stay only here," Vian nonchalantly answered.

When Vian said something like that, the other women laughed and cast a mocking glance in Elsi's way. Although Elsi usually had no trouble grabbing another man's hand, this time she was unable to pull Vian because he was stronger than she had anticipated.

"You are free to speak here," he said.

When Elsi finally let go of Vian's hand, she sighed.

"We'll talk again later," Elsi muttered and quickly hurried away from the throng, embarrassed herself. Vian was aware of Elsi's only motive for being interested in him, which was to confirm that he belonged to the same race as her.

Many muttered what Vian was there for as soon as he unexpectedly walked into Elsi's class.

"Didn't you want to talk to me? Already liberated "He spoke as he neared Elsi.

Edgar quickly moved toward them, saying, "Don't be too cocky. Elsi wants to talk to you."

"So your name is Elsi?" Vian exclaimed loudly.

Even Vian asked Elsi in a whisper, "What's your last name?"

If Elsi misheard, it might be the difference between Vian being her enemy and vice versa. Elsi was hesitant to speak up in front of Vian, who was quite curious, for fear of being misheard. Since Vian is more powerful than he is, he doesn't want Elsi to be truthful. Elsi will hold off till she is aware of Vian's true identity.

Elsi and Vian's strength was insufficient to match that of their parents, hence they were unable to identify their kind on their own. A wolf in full strength would be able to do so.
