Just like the city streets, the mall was jam-packed with people. Most of them, from the looks of it, were students from their school, coming in and out of stores, enjoying their weekend. They visited a few clothing stores trying on different clothes when Lisa decided to visit some popular name-brand stores.
Dia immediately felt out of place in the shops that screamed luxury and were out of their price range, but Lisa didn't let that get to her. The only one who shared Dia's sentiments was Alice, as both girls spotted a cute red purse but felt their souls almost leave their bodies when they saw the price, which had three zeros after the first digit.
Lisa confidently strolled to a rack of clothes, when she looked at how Alice and Dia were faring and raised an eyebrow at them.
"What's wrong with you two?"
" We shall not be seduced by the evil!" said Dia with Alice nodding her head. The girls clutched each other, eyes too scared to stray and fall upon one of those inhumane price tags! Shrugging her shoulders, Lisa continued to browse. It wasn't that she was naïve or secretly had money.
Just like her two friends, the ridiculous prices that hung on every item were way out of her price range, but that wouldn't stop her from trying them on. Since Lisa was young, she loved dressing up and watching fashion shows, dreaming of one day becoming a fashion designer herself.
Lisa was pulled from her musing when her eyes landed on a short, red lace dress that suited her taste. Deciding to try the dress on, she reached for it, but so did another pair of hands.
"What the? Who the hell is grabbing my dress!?" an angry female voice shouted, walking around to the other side occupied by her two friends. When the girl finally showed herself, Alice was the first to recognize her and whispered into Lisa's ear.
"That's Vivian and her two best friends. Tread lightly. Female wolves are known for their vicious temper," advised Alice, dropping a bomb on Lisa about the girls' true identities.
"Hey, that dress belongs to Vivian!" glared a girl in tight jean pants and a crop shirt, dark blue hair with lavender tips styled in a high sleek ponytail.
"So hand it over!" ordered another, sporting a fitted two-piece outfit and vibrant green mixed with yellow streaks hair.
"You the one trying to steal my dress? Didn't you see my hand was on it first, or are you blind or something?"
The last girl who spoke was covered in international brands from head to toe. Her entire wardrobe screamed rich diva! Not only was she rich, but she was young and beautiful. The jean shorts and skimpy blouse accentuated her hourglass figure and smooth suntanned skin with the power to arouse numerous boys with a single glance.
"Sorry, but I don't see your name on it but if you want it so much, have it!" Lisa was in no mood for starting pointless drama over a simple dress. Becoming greatly displeased when the girl with the long brown tresses with orange highlights, stepped into her personal space.
"What cocky little insect you are." Standing in her high heels, the girl reached the same height as Lisa, glaring into the other eyes.
"What did you just call me?" Lisa felt her patients waning as the girl had more time to push her buttons. Noticing the disturbing air hanging amongst the group of teens, one of the salesladies decided to defuse the situation.
"Is everything fine over here, ladies?"
"No! It isn't! This girl was trying to steal my dress, right, girls?" said Vivian as the two girls standing behind her nodded their heads.
"We grabbed the dress at the same time and I offered it to you! Why are you making a big deal out of it?" Lisa was appalled at how the situation was spinning out of control.
"I demand that she gets kicked out! She looks like she came from a thrift shop! I bet you don't even have the money to buy even the cheapest thing in this place! So why are you here unless you were planning to steal that dress?" Vivian suggested before whispering to the sales lady ear but was still loud enough to be heard by Lisa.
"You may need to contact security as well,"
Watching Vivian throw a tantrum and paint her a criminal had Lisa ready to fight. Dia tried to calm her down and Alice held her back. The girls' bickering got so loud that it drew the attention of the other customers. The poor sales lady was stuck in the middle, unable to calm down either side when she sensed the presence of someone standing behind her.
"Vivian, what are you doing? Why are you stirring up trouble again?" asked a smooth deep voice belonging to a devilishly handsome boy with long dreads. The same one that flirted with Lisa at the party.
"Oh, it's you again. The cutie that got herself involved with the beef between Sara and the little huntress who's holding you back. How come whenever I see you, you are always in some trouble?" he casually asked the girl who drew his attention, ignoring the way Vivian's eyes narrowed dangerously.
"What can I say? I'm a magnet for trouble." Lisa saucily replied, causing the boy to laugh, resting his eyes on her face.
"Gotta love that feisty temper you got, but baby girl, I don't think you ever gave me your name?" The boy flashed a sexy smile that regrettably made Lisa's heart thump. Right before she could answer, the girl that started this mess latched onto his arm, hugging his thick bicep to her ample bosom.
"Roman, you promised to buy me whatever I want and spend time with me, not flirting with other girls!" The girl whined in a childish voice that was supposed to be cute but to Lisa's ears was annoying. She scrunched her nose at the close contact and the familiar relationship they seemed to share.
"I know, but I didn't tell you to stir up trouble." Roman playfully flicked the girl on the forehead to which she playfully hit his arm.
"Roman, I'm serious! Stop flirting with other girls and spend more time with me!" The girl's childish tantrum act was starting to get on Lisa's nerves.
"Okay! Go pick out a new dress, and I promise to buy it for you." Roman's reassurance made the girl giggle and rub her head against his arm.
'He's hot but obviously has a girlfriend.' Lisa jumped to the conclusion, getting rid of any affection that sprung up. In her eyes, he was already in a relationship and thought of her as nothing but a game. This thought made Lisa mad, but she wouldn't let it ruin her day.
He was just one seriously hot guy, but there were always plenty more, and she refused to be someone's toy. Putting back the dress, Lisa grabbed Dia's and Alice's hands and left the store. By the time Roman got Vivian to calm down and settled on a new dress, he looked at the spot where Lisa once stood and was disappointed to see she had disappeared with her friends.
"Damn it! I still didn't get her name."
Roman whispered this, but he forgot how wolves had good hearing, meaning Vivian heard him and was anything but happy.
'Who is that trashy slut trying to seduce my Roman?!' Vivian was so angry she almost ripped the expensive dress in her hands to shreds.
Not wanting to think about what happened at the store, Lisa allowed Dia to pick their next stop. Standing outside the store, Lisa snorted at the big red neon sign that read GameShop. Dia ran inside like an excited kid in a candy store.
"I saw online that a new otome game was just released, and I've been saving to buy it!"
Dia raced to the section that sold games for her Switch game console and grew happy when her eyes stumbled upon a flashy pink cover depicting numerous 2D handsome guys. Hugging the case to her chest, Dia was on cloud nine when a voice spoke from behind her.
"So these are the types of games you're into?"
