[Quest - Evaluation Test: Place first in the entrance exam. The spirits of past users have decided to place a tribulation before the host.]
[Rewards - Spell: Faithful Servant (I)]
[Failure Penalty - All stats halved permanently.]
*Gulp* I was honestly nervous.
'In the grand scheme of things I don't have many stats now. But still, my heart would ache to see any amount of power go. Also, I'm very interested in this new skill.'
I was determined to complete this quest. Any amount of power can't be wasted. All opportunity's must be used!
I decided if I was going to get 3 hours I was going to use them. I un-summoned the undead skeletons I've called.
Suddenly the dirt under my undead turned black and foul and hands reached up and grabbed my undead. They where pulled into the ground until only my warrior remained.
I summoned 4 more warriors before once again taking rest. I repeated the process until I had 10 Warriors.
"Welcome to the world, my Undead Troop." I looked into my "army" with pride and happiness. The power of necromancer is a formidable one. It's no wonder those humans were so fearful of me.
My face suddenly contorted.
'I'll show them why you shouldn't cross me!' I was angry at the humans and saw them as weak.
'Hah, I guess I'm more similar to these vampires than I'd like to admit.' We both had one thing in common: hate for humans.
'Huh… might as test these skeletons while I wait.'
"Spar for me while I watch." As soon as the words rolled of my tongue the Skeletal Warriors formed duos and began fighting.
'This is great! They are the perfect fighters!' The skeletons showed no fear. They were self sacrificing. If it meant getting a hit they would sacrifice a limb.
Due to the fact that they were all the same skeletons, none of them won.
Soon enough all ten skeletons sat on a knee in-front of me. Some of the dumber vampires gawked while the smart once's focused on spell casting.
"Times up." Soon enough a fourth year came up to me. Visible surprise could be seen on his face despite the fact that his voice was calm. Wether that was because of the fact that I was human; or because I was death elemental with ten intimidating skeletons kneeling before him, I didn't know.
"It's time to go the evaluation." With steeled resolve I ordered my skeletons to stand up and follow me.
Soon we came upon a checkpoint.
"Krazis of clan Blackrain yes?" A tall man with with glasses and fear-inducing red eyes looked into a paper.
"Yes." At my words, he looked up from his page and immediately froze.
"Hmm." He hummed with a complicated sigh.
"Give me a moment." The tall man said.
"Yes Evaluator sir!" The fourth year said his title with upmost respect.
Soon he wandered off. In a few minutes he came back.
He eyed my skeletons warily then spoke.
"Your allowed to proceed."
If I had to guess, he was asking about the validity of my summons.
"Alright let's go young man." The fourth year said in a excited voice, all the fear from before was gone. It's not everyday one can see a death elemental in action, after all.
We walked a little further until we reached a circle much like the one me and Darius took here.
"Step into the teleportation circle. Whenever you've decided you've had enough, you can say "Quit". You can die so don't take massive risks."
"Thank you sir." My resolve was clear. I needed to do the best or else my stats would suffer.
'What would happen if my authority drops while I have ten warriors? Would I lose control of them or would they simply die?' I didn't want to find out.
I stepped forward with a confident footstep. I was prepared. I used all three hours to my advantage. I hounded my warriors into fighting shape. Luckily, I didn't have to do to much work. The skeletons themselves already had decent combat experience. Not that I'd know what that looks like.
'The warriors must've either been trained before or have the instincts of one. I can rule out that they remember some things from being alive because they all have the same skill…' it was a question for another day. Now I must focus on the evaluation.
"Step into the circle." I was addressing my Skeleton Warriors.
All ten stood shoulder to shoulder in the circle. I had to squeeze my way in.
The circle began to shine a crimson red and the teleportation started.
"Ahh!" A headache began to assault me much like the last time I teleported.
When I came to, I was in a massive colosseum.
"Welcome Student." A booming voice filled the entire colosseum.
"This is the training room of the Royal Academy. Your goal is to kill and survive as long as possible. Good luck." With the mysterious mans words I was on my own.
