Chereads / Obey And Serve / Chapter 15 - A Necromancer I Am!

Chapter 15 - A Necromancer I Am!

Suddenly a blue circle that looked similar but different from the teleportation matrix appeared. Out of it came little green men.

'Goblins!' I read about them before. Small, low-intelligence creatures with high reproduction rates.

"Graaaaaa!" One of the goblins screamed out and soon all 20 had their eyes on my entourage of skeletons.

They were clad in fur clothings that barely covered anything and had small crude stone daggers. None of them where made with skill. It looked like a few swings is all they would be good for.

"Protect me Warriors!" I yelled out my simple command.

Three Warriors stayed behind to protect me while the other seven charged forward.

"Arghhh!" One of the goblins yelled out as a sword plunged deep into its stomach.

Blood pooled out and the goblin collapsed.

"Ahhhh!" One of them screamed as it charged forwards to a warrior.

It swung without hesitation.

'Ice Bolt!' I conjured a ice bolt to help my summons deal with the goblins.

"Argh!" My bolt slammed into a goblins stomach making its face turn pale.

The goblins stomach turned bluish and began to freeze.

"Ahh…" the goblins screams became less and less loud as it collapsed and died. It's internal organs likely destroyed thanks to my magic.

A bead of sweat rolled off my face as mana left my body.

*Swoosh* my warriors swung without discrimination.

"Argh!" "Ahhh!" Soon all that was left of the goblins was some red blood.

*Cough*Cough* sweat was leaking from my forehead like a waterfall.

[Mana - 80/120] I had used 4 Ice Bolts against the small goblin army. It's no that I needed to but I wanted to test it out.

"Protect me." I sat down in meditation.

My seven warriors returned to me and joined the other three in protecting me.

"Congratulations on passing round one of five. With this you will be admitted to the Royal Academy. But if you wish for further rewards complete more rounds." The voice came back to congratulate me.

'Alright, I just have to let my warriors fight for me. If I do that, I'll be fine.' Soon another batch came. It was much like the previous group just with ten more goblins.

'I can do this!'

————————————————————————————————————————

"Congratulations on getting to the final round. You have shown bravery and talent seldom seen. Good luck on the final round." The words sounded amused and excited at the same time. Whoever was watching me was getting quite the show and he knew it.

*Cough!* my cough was much more aggressive than last time. The arena was painted red with blood. My eyes leaked black blood. Likely a result if overusing mana and my prominent element.

Seven skeletons, some with nicks some fresh, sat staring at me as if waiting for orders.

[Mana - 20/120]

'Should I summon another skeleton or leave my mana for myself to use?' I was at a loss of what to do. The next round was the last. All seven remaining skeletons should be used to fight and none can defend me.

[Mana - 30/120]

'my mana regenerated…'

"Skeletal Warrior! Come forth and serve!" Another skeleton soon rose from the ground.

The use of mana did nothing good for my condition.

*Cough!*

'Ugh… thank god this is the last round.' I was tired out and done. I was disadvantaged until the fact that I'm in a royal school for nobles without any of the support nobles get. I didn't get time to study spells other than the ones I've been given. It wasn't looking great for me.

I only had eight of my warriors and could only use Ice Bolt twice. And using the spell twice would completely get rid of my Mana putting my condition to its worst point.

[Mana - 30/120] as soon as my mana hit 30 again the new wave began.

"Kill!" A large green goblin was followed by 20 goblins and 10 black hounds.

'A hobgoblin. Giant goblin with more intelligence but most importantly more strength. And Forest Hounds. Wild wolves found in the forest. Commonly seen with goblins and other lesser life forms.' It was looking grim for me.

"Obey and serve! Protect me Undead Warriors!" My words were cold and commanding. I was overbearing. It didn't matter to me though, they are my servants and I am their master.

The eight warriors jumped into battle. Despite the large number of goblins, only a few could effectively attack at one time.

The goblins were also ill equipped. Little stone daggers that could at most chip away at my warriors.

It was the hob-goblin that presented a problem… it had a massive Wooden Club that could turn my bone warriors into small little pieces.

"Ahhhhh! Kill them all! Kill them and bring me their skulls!" The hobgoblin was angry. How dare a small human defy it?

One of my warriors had blood red bones from all it has killed. A sea of corpses lay by its side. It was chipped everywhere. It's skull had small nicks but it's knee joint is where the most damage had been done.

Despite the stupidity of goblins they could still strategize. They all decided to take out the weakest point in my creations. The knees.

"Ahhh!" *Slam* *Crunch* my blood red skeleton was turned into small bones and dust in an instant. The Hob Goblins club rained down on it like boulder falling on a shack.

"Come forth and serve me! Skeletal Warrior!" It was quickly replaced. I didn't want to use anymore Mana than necessary as I needed as many ice bolts as possible for the big guy.

*Growl* soon a hound found its way towards me.

*Gulp* it's teeth were dripping saliva. It was clear by the ribs I could see this dog hasn't eaten in ages.

"I won't be your first meal Mutt!" I shot an ice bolt straight at its head. Unfortunately I missed and it landed on its leg.

"Whimper!" The dog was in pain. It's leg was snapped. Despite this it still crawled towards me.

'I can't afford to use any more mana!' My mana has regenerated to about 80 by now and I needed all of it.

I got up and walked towards the injured hound and brought my leg down on its skull.

"Die you bastard!"

*Squish* *Whimper* *Crunch* my shoe was blood red and hound was dead.

*Gag* the realization set in at what I've done.

All the kills so far has been done with my magic or my summons. None of it was done by me.

*Barf* a mix between the horror of killing and my fatigue sent my breakfast onto the ground.

'Ugh… I don't feel so good.' In my stupor a goblin and hound came up to me.

"Hehehe!" A goblin laughed in glee before plunging his sword into my stomach. But before flesh and iron could meet one of my warriors swords was sent into the trajectory of the blade.

*Shing!* the blade was sent flying the other way. My summon quickly finished the goblin off but was attacked by a hound.

The mutt landed a well placed claw and my summons head was sent flying. It's body collapsed and the fire in its eyes dispersed.

"Come forth and serve! Skeletal warriors!" I was frantic in my words and used up additional mana. Because of my lack of focus I had to spend more on the job.

[Mana - 20/120] two new skeletons quickly came up to defend me. They easily killed the hound and went to stand on my left and right.

Just as I was about to order them to fight for me I saw the battlefield.

"Dear god." My skeletons were all gone. A handful of goblins and the hob-goblin were all that remained.

Dozens of corpses stood around the hob goblin.

[Due to the Death Walkers intense battle and murder the dark gods have bestowed upon you a present. Death Element Spell - Corpse Explosion.]

[Corpse Explosion (Decay)- spread chaos and destruction for the dark gods. Explode a corpse or multiple for a price of 5 Mana per corpse.]

This was perfect!

'It seems I'm being viewed by others. So be it, if it means help every now and then I'll be your enjoyment!'

"Corpse explosion!" Suddenly three corpses lit up red. They were the nearest to the group of goblins. They soon blew up with a red tint.

The three corpses began to bloat up. It was like tumours were growing in beneath the skin of them.

The goblins curiously and nervously looked over to the corpses.

"Go check it-" the hob goblin didn't get to finish its words before it happened.

The body's burst open and huge black clouds came out.

"Agh!" Screams were all I heard.

The black mist began shifting and going towards the goblins. It entered every crevice of them and began melting away the skin.

Soon all that was left was bone.

The hob goblin lived, barely.

"Ahhh!" It screamed and cried out in agony.

It's arms were held on by a few tendrils of flesh and muscle. It's legs were eroded completely only bones and nubs of flesh.

"Finish him." My words were tired and weak. No power could be heard inside of them.

My skeletons approached the green beast and shoved their blades into its heart. Hate could clearly be seen in the beast gaze as its life was extinguished.

After I killed it all the blood and gore flashed out of existence like it was all a lie. I haven't killed anything and I just got here.

"Congratulations. You have completed the final wave and will be rewarded as such when the school year starts." The voice sounded excited and praising.

I began glowing blue and could feel a headache coming on.

'Here we go again.'
