"Nat, until now I still can't forget about you."
Natalie's eyes were perfectly rounded, still unable to take her eyes off Nicholas, who was so attached to looking at her. Her tongue felt loose, she did not know how to respond, as if she still wanted Nicholas to continue his words without Natalie having to say anything first.
"Have you really forgotten what we went through before? Well, even if it's still a short time," Nicholas asked, in his sky-blue eyes there seemed to be a hope that Natalie felt the same way as him.
Natalie tried to respond, biting her lower lip before answering the blonde's question. "I thought you were really leaving and not coming back after our last discussion."
"Why did you think that, hm?"
"Of course because I rejected you, right?"
Nicholas was silent for a moment before he sighed. "Yes, you're right. You didn't want to have a long-distance relationship, that's why I came here."
Natalie furrowed her brow, her temper flaring as Nicholas said the very thing he had previously forbidden. "I told you that you don't have to be like that!"
"No, Nat. It's also a coincidence, I didn't sacrifice too much in order to live in this city," Nicholas replied, explaining so that Natalie would not misunderstand. When Nicholas clasped Natalie's hand, the woman did not let go, as if she was curious about what Nicholas was going to do. "After our last conversation, I really reflected on myself. Maybe there is something wrong with me that you keep rejecting."
"I-I told you there's nothing wrong! It's just ... I don't want you to keep waiting until I like you. Because ... I haven't felt that yet."
"It's okay, I'll wait."
"...you heard me, didn't you?"
"Nat, I know a lot of suspicions are planted on me. You might think I'm just messing around and that I could dump you," Nicholas said, his grip on her hand tightening. "But I'm really serious and willing to wait until you slowly reciprocate my feelings."
Natalie felt like crying, her feelings were mixed because she felt strange. There should not be a man this good, this is too impossible in the world. However, why was Nicholas present and so in love with her?
"Don't you think you're too good a man? Aren't you afraid that I might hurt you?" Natalie asked.
"I know you're a good woman, Nat. Even if you hurt me, it must be for a good reason. Besides, if we really can't be together, that would make my heart hurt," Nicholas replied with a simple smile, which seemed sincere and touched Natalie. "Can't we do it again?"
"If ... you want it so much, I have no other choice."
"That's not the answer I want."
"H-huh? Then what?"
"If I'm the only one who wants to do it, I don't want to. What about you?"
Natalie's heart continued to beat rapidly and it was difficult for her to compose herself. Natalie took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly, in order to control herself in front of this extraordinary man. Soon Natalie smiled so confidently, she let go of Nicholas' hand and then reached out to caress the blonde man's cheek gently.
Of course, Nicholas was surprised, his body immediately froze because he did not expect the action Natalie did to him.
"If you were here, of course I would change my mind. As long as I can see and touch you in person, I don't mind," Natalie said, her smile becoming more seductive. Staring intensely into Nicholas' sky-blue eyes.
Natalie kept saying to herself that if she was doing something this crazy according to her host's personality, her heart should not be beating this hard. Natalie panicked when Nicholas held his hand still on the man's cheek, the distance between them was getting closer as Nicholas continued to narrow the distance.
"You like touching me?" Nicholas asked in a heavy voice that sounded comfortable to Natalie's ears.
"Y-yes, I'm the kind of woman who enjoys spending time with the man I love, plus being able to touch each other and then-" Suddenly, Natalie could not continue when Nicholas put his arm around her waist, the man's face so close that Natalie had to step back a little despite the difficulty. "Why are we in this position?" Natalie asked in a nervous panic.
"You said you enjoyed meeting and touching me," Nicholas replied casually and very flatly.
"You're too close, please let go of me," Natalie pleaded, slightly pushing Nicholas' chest away from her, otherwise Natalie's heart would explode from nervousness.
Nicholas looked disappointed, so he agreed to Natalie's request. And to get rid of his disappointment, Nicholas grabbed a glass of soda that had been provided and took a sip. While Natalie occasionally glanced at Nicholas, she leaned her body on the back of the sofa with her legs crossed.
"You didn't ask someone to pick you up? I think the rain is getting heavier," Natalie said.
"You don't like me being here?" Nicholas asked without turning to Natalie.
"What? It's not like that. But there's no way you're staying here, is there? I only have one room."
"I can sleep here," Nicholas said as he patted the sofa they were sitting on. Natalie frowned, looking disapproving.
"It's so cold, I don't want you to get sick. Besides, there's no way I'm letting an important person like you sleep on the sofa!" Natalie exclaimed, shaking her head.
By nine in the evening, the rain had not stopped. Nicholas was completely trapped in Natalie's apartment. Meanwhile, she had to get ready for her usual live stream.
"Can I see it?" Nicholas asked.
Natalie, who had finished with her makeup, was now wearing her coral gold wig. She had given up on Nicholas, letting him see her much different transformation. Nicholas sat down on the sofa in the live room.
"I can sleep on this sofa too, Nat."
"I told you I wouldn't let you sleep on the sofa," Natalie snorted softly, getting up from her makeup chair and moving to the cushioned chair for her live stream. "Are you sure you'll be here, Nic?"
"Yes, I promise I won't make any noise," Nicholas replied firmly.
However, Natalie was still not sure about letting Nicholas be in the same room as she was going to work. She shook her head and said, "You can watch outside this room. Now I'll change my mind."
Nicholas had a disappointed look on his face, without begging or doing anything to be allowed in there, Nicholas walked languidly out of the room.
Natalie breathed a sigh of relief, never would she have imagined that there would be a man accompanying her at work like this. Natalie patted her cheeks quite firmly, checking that her sweet smile was ready before she turned on the live feature.
And when she thought everything was ready, she started to open her chat room.
"Hi, everyone! Let's talk, and I'll be there to keep you company!"
