Chereads / SWEETER THAN SUGAR / Chapter 3 - BLUSHED

Chapter 3 - BLUSHED

There was a man with pink hair and a pointy nose leaning against the wall. With his right hand holding a drink bottle.

His two eyes were currently looking straight ahead, at an object that was right in front of him at this moment and he had been staring at that object since a minute ago.

"Heejin..." Yeonsuk called.

"Hmm? What?" Heejin said with her mouth full which was busy chewing.

That's right, his best friend Heejin is currently the object of his gaze.

Yeonsuk shook his head. "Can't you just swallow your food before you speak?" said Yeonsuk.

"Why? Even though my mouth is full, I can still speak," said Heejin casually.

Yeonsuk walked towards Heejin, brought himself now in front of Heejin and then slightly moved his face.

"Now tell me..." Yeonsuk looked at Heejin. "You're not a woman, are you?" said Yeonsuk.

Heejin looked away, then pushed Yeonsuk's forehead with her index finger.

"Hey! I'm a real woman you know!" Heejin said sulkily.

Yeonsuk chuckled. "Really? I can't believe it," Yeonsuk teased.

How does he not often tease and say to Heejin that his best friend is very different from other students in this school?

Just look at how Heejin's behavior and nature, are very far from feminine. Heejin also prefers to hang out with men than women.

Heejin is also just as naughty and stubborn as him, which is very rare for the average girl to want to be naughty in school.

Very unique isn't it? Well, that's his best friend.

But even so, you should not forget and ignore that his best friend has a very beautiful face. Which often makes the students here deceived by her beautiful face.

"You want to prove it?!" Heejin challenged while glaring.

"Yes, I want to prove it," replied Yeonsuk.

Heejin straightened her body, leaning against the corridor wall. "Here! prove it!" said Heejin.

Yeonsuk put down his drink bottle, then turned back to Heejin. "Are you sure?" said Yeonsuk while looking at Heejin with a lopsided smile that graced his face.

"Hey... hey! why are you looking at me like that?!" Heejin said frantically.

How could she not panic, if Yeonsuk looked at her suspiciously like that? It makes her think that she's in danger.

If you were in her position, I'm sure you would think the same.

"Why? You said I could prove it didn't you?" said Yeonsuk who was getting closer.

Heejin's heart was beating fast, her face looked very panicked and this is not good for her heart.

Heejin pushed Yeonsuk's chest. "D*mn Choi Yeonsuk! Get away from me!" Heejin while placing her hands in front of her chest.

And that's when Yeonsuk burst out laughing. "Hahahaha what do you think I will do to you? Kiss you?! I would never do that," said Yeonsuk holding his stomach while laughing.

Heejin was silent, she was silent hearing Yeonsuk's words and saw Yeonsuk who was currently laughing in front of her.

She felt something.

She felt something in her heart that seemed to be pinched.

"I didn't say you were going to kiss me!" said Heejin.

Yeonsuk wiped his tears that were a little out from laughing.

Yeonsuk then put his arm around Heejin's shoulder. "Hey, you're my best friend. And I can't do that to my best friend," Yeonsuk said with a gentle smile.

Well, Heejin is his best friend who has been his best friend for three years. So he couldn't possibly do that to Heejin.

"We're best friends right?" said Yeonsuk.

Heejin turned her head, making her face meet Yeonsuk's. "Yes, of course, we are best friends," replied Heejin.

Slowly a wide smile appeared on Yeonsuk's handsome face. "I love you, my friend," said Yeonsuk.

Heejin was silent for a moment. "I love you too my friend," replied Heejin who both then laughed softly at each other.

...

The two friends were seen walking hand in hand, both laughing at disturbing each other. It's because they bother each other a lot.

Yeonsuk ruffled Heejin's hair. "Look at this woman," Yeonsuk teased.

"Stop bothering me!" said Heejin while showing a row of her teeth.

But apparently, the two of them didn't realize that they were currently the center of attention for the other students.

With the students whispering and staring at Heejin sarcastically. Doesn't like seeing Heejin and Yeonsuk's closeness.

"Ewww..."

"Did you see that?"

"I don't like her."

"I don't even want Yeonsuk to be so close to her."

Those were the whispers that were heard from the students because they saw Heejin who was so close to Yeonsuk.

Why? Do you think that Heejin is liked by the female students at this school?

Then the answer is wrong, quite the opposite. She is very disliked by other female students, even by her classmates.

And it's all because Yeonsuk is very close and always with Heejin, like a stamp. And they don't like that.

They can't accept that their school prince is close to a woman like Heejin, out of the many female students at this school.

Yeah, Yeonsuk is indeed the prince of their school who certainly has a lot of fans, especially women students.

And it's not that Heejin doesn't realize it but she chooses not to care and thinks it's all like the wind. That's because she was used to all kinds of insults and harsh words directed at her.

Then the question is, does Yeonsuk know about it?

The answer is no. Yeonsuk didn't know about it at all, because Heejin never told him about it.

"We've arrived, go to your class," said Yeonsuk.

Yes, he took Heejin back to her class. It was because they were in separate classes. Heejin's class is downstairs, while Yeonsuk's class is upstairs.

"You don't want to come in?" Heejin asked who leaned her shoulder back against the door.

"What for?" Yeonjun said.

"To greet your fans," said Heejin pointing to her classroom.

And sure enough, when Yeonsuk looked into Heejin's classroom he saw Heejin's classmates especially the girls, looking at him excitedly and screaming.

I told you before, didn't I? If Yeonsuk has a lot of fans and that is the proof.

"Leave it alone, maybe next time," Yeonsuk said disinterestedly.

Yeonsuk is the type of guy who is indifferent. He just wouldn't be indifferent to certain people. Especially with someone who makes him comfortable.

Heejin laughed. "Okay, then go back to your class," said Heejin.

"Yeah, but you go first," Yeonsuk gently pushed Heejin's shoulder to enter her class.

And once again, it made Heejin's classmate stare intently. How not, if the two of them don't look like friends but like lovers.

Since the two of them always act like lovers, it's only natural that Yeonsuk's fans feel jealous.

Heejin laughed. "Hahaha well, I'm in. Soon the bell will ring," said Heejin.

But just as Heejin was about to step into her classroom, Yeonsuk suddenly held her hand.

"Wait!" hold Yeonsuk.

Heejin turned around. "What's wrong? You want to borrow my pen again?" said Heejin.

Well, Yeonsuk was very lazy to bring a spare pen. So if his pen is lost he will go straight to Heejin's class to borrow Heejin's pen.

"After school waits for me at the gate, I'll take you home," said Yeonsuk smiling, then just walked away.

Leaving Heejin silent in front of the door with her cheeks slowly turning red like a tomato.
