As if satisfied to see my annoyed face, he laughed again. This time, he sat even closer to me, making me shift sideways almost touching the edge while frowning.
"No one refuses me, Darling." He whispered beside my ear.
"So, I'm the 'no one." I flashed a wide smile on my lips at him.
Still holding in place and not moving away, Justin pursed his lips. He shrugged. I turned around, making our eyes meet each other and I could see the reflection of my face in her, well, beautiful eyes.
"You must have read one of Gibran's quotes, right?" One of his eyebrows rose. "When love beckons to you, follow. What I'm doing right now is a representation of Gibran's poetry."
I sighed softly. He must be joking.
But isn't this a great opportunity, Daph? The closer Justin gets to you, the easier it will be for you to accept Trixie's challenge. So, Daph, don't go over the top, okay? After all, Justin is pretty handsome, right?
Not just "pretty handsome". Justin is super duper handsome.
I snorted inside. His arrogance, arrogance, and seduction bothered me. His brain must be filled with wild fantasies. Maybe he often makes me the object of his fantasies. Bleh.
"Why did you follow me?" I pursed my lips and lifted my chin. "You dare to use Gibran's expression like that. Well..."
"You're strong, pretty, brave, something no other girl in this world has, Love."
He gave her a teasing smile again. Don't think you'll easily lead me into your devil's snare, Lancaster. "I like you."
I laughed then. "Like me? You know how long it's been since you've seen me, huh?"
