Chapter 10 - The Real Handsome Boy (a)

"HAHAHA, you're crazy, Daph! Never before this school has a student who treated Justin like that!" Esther tapped me on the shoulder, as we all walked out of the cafeteria to our next class; Coincidentally, my new friends have known each other since the freshman level and chose the same schedule.

"So what?" I raised an eyebrow. Whoever Justin Lancaster is, I'm not afraid of him. The president's son, the high-ranking official's son, the king's son, I don't care. If I think back on my status as a princess who is quite respected by the people of Luisa, then I dare to brag in front of anyone I find disturbing.

"I fear you will end up like Patrick. He limped one leg two days after he spat in front of Justin."

Spontaneously, I quit. My expression turned to horror. "What happened to him anyway?" Imagining such a horrible thing, I felt like someone had tickled my leg to the point that it made me shudder.

"I don't know, no one knows for sure why Patrick is like that. But any Graham Bell High School student messing with Lancaster, they're bound to end badly." Mikaela bit her lower lip.

Geez. Why are such cruel students allowed to attend school here? No wonder I felt an aura of horror when I first saw this building. They need protection.

"Why isn't anyone rebelling?" I asked, getting them to say it all.

"This is Los Angeles, you meet a thug every second you take a breath," in response to my question, Shyla puffed out her cheeks. "I mean, he's Justin Lancaster tho. His family is rich as fuck."

Remembering our conversation in the cafeteria earlier, Mikaela replied quickly, "Why are you lying, Daph? You're a princess. The people with the Grimaldi Westlake surname are not random people."

It's no good telling them about the real me. Maybe not now. I've only known them one day. That said, I don't easily trust other people. So instead of them spreading gossip in this school, it's better not to tell anything.

"I don't want to be in the public eye," that's not a lie. "Oh, looks like you two go first. I left my book in the locker."

Mikaela, Shyla, Esther, and Bianca nodded in agreement. Leaving me standing in the corridor, the four of my friends continued on their way to the next class. According to what Mikaela had explained in the cafeteria earlier, they were all victims of pranks by popular kids like Trixie Marshall and her minions. Even Trixie viciously humiliated them and stamped the 'Dumped Students' behind their backs.
