Lips.
"Calm down," Corale says hastily before Vyrion could go further. "you didn't keep your word. How can I give it?" she asked Vyrion not to do anything weird while Gabriel was here, and what happened? He did something even crazier. Worse she didn't know what happened to Gabriel and Amber now.
Did they remember meeting her at the castle or not? Did they remember everything and suspect Vyrion of having magical power?
"I did what I had to do," Vyrion explained calmly. "I can't just sit back and listen to them criticizing you."
"I'm the one at fault here," Corale argued at him, raising her eyebrows. "you know they're trying to make me better."
"Is that true?" Vyrion cold words made Corale gasp. "did you have a dream before all this?"
Corale falls silent, her hands clenched on her thighs holding back the emotions that had gathered in her heart so as not to let them out onto Vyrion who genuinely cared about her.
Of course, she has.
Corale collects a lot of money to pursue her dream.
"Corale, I can see you won't enjoy yourself in the future being the head of your father's legacy company," Vyrion took her hand to gently caressed it, to make her feel how much he care for her. "go back to what you want, I'm sure your father understands."
Corale shook her head, refusing to accept Vyrion's suggestion.
How could her father understand if he wasn't here? How could she know her father would be happy she didn't take over the company when her bond with him is so poor?
"It pains me to see you choose to suffer rather than your happiness," Vyrion finds it hard to believe Corale gave up so quickly after remembering she was so stubborn when they made the promise 'kiss'. "when in the end all that matters is you. Alone."
"Vyrion…" Corale understood the way he think, but… "I understand your concern, but you don't know what you're saying."
"What the point I don't understand?" Vyrion asked in a calm tone despite the intense piercing in his eyes. "You were daydreaming during Ms. Amber explained. There is no light in your eyes when you apologise for your action. Meaning you didn't regret what you did. I am right?"
Corale was amazed at how much detail Vyrion explained, which meant he paid attention to her, all because of Vega. She smiled sadly, "What you feel is just an illusion. Of course, I'm glad you care, but..."
"It hurts me to hear you say that," Vyrion gently guides her hand to his chest now pounding painfully at her words. "my feelings for you are not mere illusions. I can feel happiness, anxiety, and sadness in every response to your expression and presence."
Corale just bit her lower lip.
Vyrion has truly lost himself.
"What must I do so you can trust me?" Vyrion asked, there's a desperation tone in his voice. "I know how I feel because I've been in love. Please, don't claim this is just an illusion."
Corale held her breath when Vyrion guide her hand from his chest to his cheek, feeling its warmth touching her skin, then placed it on his chest to feel his pounding heart again.
It felt so real.
This heartbeat.
His determined eyes made her believe him.
Corale feels a strange feeling—nostalgic, as if this happened before, despite the fact they just met yesterday. She judged this from her past relationship with Gael. There was nothing else she could think of other than that.
"Okay?" Vyrion spoke as gently as possible, asking for confirmation of his request. This silent waiting is slowly killing him inside.
"I…" For a second, Corale wanted to believe what Vyrion said. She tried to think behind what he said yesterday was hidden interest even though it was difficult to accept from any angle. She wanted to believe there was truth in every word he said behind this illusion.
Because ...
In the reflection of her eyes, Vyrion was like the Vyrion she had known yesterday.
A soft caress on Corale's cheek brought her back to reality, "You not yourself right now." She whispered with closed eyes unable to see the disappointment on his face. "We will talk about this again after Vega returns."
This is where Corale believes Vega will freak out if she sees their position so close like this.
"My head is hurt so much, I wanna take a short nap."

Huh...?
Red...
Red...
Everything Corale had around her was red.
What place is this?
Corale turned her head here and there in hopes she could find something or the answer to all of this.
But...
There isn't anything.
Corale blinked. With a heavy heart, she took small steps.
Wet...
The soles of her feet touched something wet and warm. The more Corale stepped, the more she drowned in this red pool.
Is this water?
Corale stopped walking after the water reached her chest.
There was no way she could continue walking if there was nothing but darkness in front of her.
"Vyrion..."
Huh?
Corale rechecked her surroundings when she heard a faint deep voice.
"Lord Vyrion…!" The deep voice sounded a little strong, this time tucked away in frustration.
Where?
"Lord Vyrion…! What are you doing!?"
Corale gasped, and in time she blinked, she was in a white room stained with red blotches that almost covered the room's color.
She wasn't alone this time.
A man was standing not far from her holding a long sword in his left hand, and another man was lying helpless with a body full of wounds and covered in blood not far from his feet.
Corale's body froze.
So the red stain she stepped on was… blood?
Not only that, Corale knew very well the man who wielded the sword which was also covered in blood dripping from the tip—making a small pool on the floor, "Vyrion..." Her throat felt tight at the mention of his name due to the intense shock she was experiencing right now.
"What are you doing, Lord Vyrion!?"
Corale saw the brown-haired woman running towards her at a jog ignoring the long white dress covering her legs towards Vyrion who was standing still.
"What are you doing!?" The woman snapped angrily at him.
Vyrion turned his head slightly, revealing his cold ruby eyes stained with blood. He answered monotonously without fear or guilt, "Killing a God."

Gasp!
Corale sat up from her slumber gasping for air and her face was covered in sweat.
What's that?
Nightmare?
"Corale?"
Deg!
Corale felt her heart stop as soon as she heard her name being called by someone who was the reason she had a bad dream.
"Corale?" Vyrion called out once again.
Corale gasped. A hand touched her shoulder, and without thinking, she reflexively brushed it off, "Stay away from me!"
