"Get away from me!" Corale shouted commandingly as her hands moved to protect herself in a panic from any touch by Vyrion.
"Corale, calm down. It was just a dream, nothing will hurt you," Vyrion tried to encourage, his hand tried to touch. But unfortunately, a second later was pushed away roughly again. He held his breath, unconsciously touching the hand she had just slapped.
Corale huddled around her knees, shielding herself, "Can you go? I want to be alone right now."
There was a few seconds before Vyrion replied calmly, "I'll bring you some tea."
Corale felt a gust of wind for a few seconds before the living room fell silent again.
Dream...
But the dream felt real.
Corale wiped the sweat on her eyelashes causing her vision to blur a bit. She took a deep breath.
There's no way this is just an ordinary dream. Right?
Vyrion herself was different from her, Corale was sure there was a meaning behind her dreams. She couldn't possibly ask Vyrion because he had lost some of his memories.
Vega is the answer.
But where is she...?
Until now, Vega has not been seen.
It would be easy if Vega brought a motorbike or car, but all of that was still stored untouched in the garage.
Corale slowly realized the possibility that Vega also had special powers like Vyrion. Everyone's coming together.
Why are there only the two of them working here? Why was Vyrion so quick to catch her body when she fell.
Corale had her suspicions, but she tried to think logically. Now that all the mysteries slowly began to crumble, for some reason, she was relieved.
"Killing a God...'
Corale's whole body shuddered just imagining the scene in her dream. It was still fresh in her ears how the man lying helpless was moaning in pain for help, but Vyrion in her dream didn't care.
Vyrion...
'Just who are you...?'
Corale took a deep breath.
"Here."
Corale stared blankly at the cup that had just been placed on the table in front of her. She didn't see a puff of smoke like brewed tea, "What are you making?"
"Mint syrup," Vyrion replied softly. "you like it, don't you? That's why I made this instead of tea."
Vyrion remembered yesterday's conversation with Vega before they left for his father's grave. But why didn't he remember after that? Like only remembering the positive things.
"Thank you, Vyrion," Corale really appreciated Vyrion's efforts to try to cheer her up. Since she reminded himself, she craved some mint syrup. She took a couple of sips, enjoying her mouth's sweet and fresh taste. "Say Vyrion, did you make this with your hands?"
Vyrion shook his head innocently, "I used my abilities, but it's true that I replaced sugar with honey to make it healthier for your body."
"I see," Corale looked at the mint syrup in her hand. "but you know what, Vyrion? Making our own hands would taste better." Moreover, how to make it easy. She believed he could make the perfect mint syrup.
"I will keep that in mind."
Corale nodded slightly, "You have to control your power too. You don't want to scare the whole town. Okay?" She explained carefully so as not to hurt Vyrion's feelings.
That nightmare had drastically changed the way she saw Vyrion.
Corale didn't know how far Vyrion's strength was, but preventing that from happening was the best option. For now.
"As long as you don't suffer, I manage," Vyrion said, sitting beside Corale.
Corale was sure that Gabriel and Amber's incident would happen again with her answer, "You're not saying enough. I want you to swear."
"That's a strong word," Vyrion says. "what will I get if I do it?"
Is Vyrion still bitter about their promise? It is not her fault, he broke it.
"You want that kiss?" Corale asked doubtfully and was uncomfortable with the idea. The biggest reason she did it was because Vyrion kept clinging to her.
Vyrion claims he suffers if he doesn't breathe oxygen in the same place as her.
Dramatic.
But Corale couldn't blame him.
Again, Vyrion wasn't himself now.
"You obviously don't like the idea of us kissing," Vyrion said which made Corale's eyes widen at having guessed what she was thinking. "then I want us to go on a date."
Date...
Dating sounded better than kissing, but imagining Vyrion in a public place made Corale's stomach feel bad.
"Why?"
Vyrion showed his softest smile, "Of course I want to win your heart classically," he said. "I know what I did was too hasty, so we take things slow."
It made sense too, and it was advantageous for Corale to be able to put some distance between them until this matter was settled—
"A date? There's no such thing as a date between you."
"Vega?"
Corale turned her head and saw Vega looking at her and Vyrion in turn with irritation in her eyes, "Welcome home, Vega. How was your trip? Everything alright?" She asked a bunch of questions without realizing it. In her heart right now, she only wanted one answer after almost all day she had to endure it.
"I won't let that happen," Vega ignored Corale's question. She was too blinded by her dislike of Vyrion and Corale's relationship.
"You can't stop me," Vyrion said. "who do you think you are?" He continued without being bothered by Vega's warning.
"We promised," Vega reminded, her eyes fiercely as Vyrion's. "if you keep breaking our promise, don't blame me if I make your life more difficult, Vyrion."
"Huh," Vyrion clicked his tongue, feeling both funny and pitiful at the same time as Vega's tame warning. "Should I show you how far our strengths compare?" he asked with his hand raised, emitting a blazing red glow around his palm.
Vega was alert, she did the same, except for the golden light above her palm, "You want to do this the hard way? Then I gladly accept it, Lord Vyrion."
"Show me then, don't just brag like a dog," Vyrion challenged mercilessly.
The insult made Vega's blood boil. She lost control of her logic and pointed her light-drenched hand at Corale, "With pleasure."
Vyrion's ruby eyes widened, "No...!"
Corale could only stand still, staring in horror at the golden light heading towards her in the blink of an eye.
