Chapter 664: Abyssal Ocean—Glutton Leviathan

Everyone witnessing the kill was stunned.

The time seemed to have stopped moving for a few seconds. Then, people standing on the ice broke the silence first.

"Master Yang!"

"That's impossible!"

None of them wanted to believe what had just happened.

It was unmistakable that the badge on Qin Feng's chest read C-tier. His aura was not as overwhelming as a B-tier, too. However, their master Yang had died unexpectedly in his hands.

Yang Qian's eyes widened. Blood came rushing out from his mouth. His face was contorted.

Yang Qian could not be more dead.

Qin Feng withdrew the long sword slowly. Blood gushed out from the wounds.

Without the support, Yang Qian's body plunged from midair.

"Save him!"

"Master Yang!"

"He can't be dead! Master Yang!" The pirates were in chaos.

They did not just lose a co-captain. If Qin Feng could kill Yang Qian so easily, it would be even more effortless for him to kill the rest of them.

It was hard not to fluster when your life was grasped in other's hands.

Qin Feng's sight was set on Wang Yangying next. He was Qin Feng's initial target.

Without the water ability user's manipulation, the raging sea gradually toned down.

Qin Feng was only getting started.

Though he had smashed the iceberg, Qin Feng knew Chen Sha was still alive. He might have plunged into the sea but Chen Sha should still have a lot of strength left.

Thus, he expanded his consciousness to search for the B-tier pirate.

This was when he suddenly sensed a fast approaching aura.

It was perhaps the scariest presence Qin Feng had ever encountered, be it in this life or his past.

A distraught figure suddenly broke out from the sea surface. It was none other than Chen Sha, who was clearly in distress.

Yu Yangtao did not expect Qin Feng to not know about the creature. He used his consciousness to shout back at him, "It is one of the top beasts in this ocean, probably an A-tier beast emperor. It's a creature that is closed to evolving into a beast deity. The only outcome meeting it is death."

There was no such thing as retaliation. The Glutton Leviathan's power in this ocean was absolute.

Its strength was laid bare based on the name given to it by human beings.

The Glutton Leviathan had its eyes fixed on Chen Sha.

The monster must have chased Chen Sha up to sea level. Right now, its prey had flown to midair trying to escape the predator.

He was clearly being delusional if he thought that he could run away.

The Glutton swallowed the seawater in its maw and raised its head. It then growled ragingly.

A deep-sea vessel was like a powerless baby in front of this behemoth.

His body was shrouded in a Typhoon Ball but the ball was getting weaker and weaker as its edges were getting dyed black. If this were to keep going, the Typhoon Ball would definitely be destroyed!

Qin Feng's internal force exploded outward and with a twist of his form he parted the waters to reach Yu Yangtao's side. The internal force spread out over three meters and enveloped Yu Yangtao.

Then, Qin Feng activated his dark runes and spread it as a thin layer over his internal force.

This shield had a very small effect and might not even be able to withstand an attack from a B-tier but it hid the two people's auras and blocked off the other dark runes.

It was a manner of deception, he managed to deceive the surrounding runes and make the runes believe that there was nothing left so that they would stop being attacked.

"Thank you, thank you!" Yu Yangtao was finally able to relax, but his face was an ashened grey and his body looked exhausted.

He was affected by the dark runes after all.

"I don't even know your name but thanks for the assist. Sorry for the trouble!" Yu Yangtao said and said his name soon after.

Qin Feng already knew Yu Yangtao's name by then. "No need to be so formal. I saved you because we're all members of the Human Alliance. I don't hold any regard for people on the Sea Devil and you just so happened to be nearby. Now, this is just an accident!"

Previously when Qin Feng said he would step out to save people, that group of men decided to make fun of him for it.

Now, after Qin Feng said that, and seeing him kill two B-tiers, the ocean suddenly did not seem so scary.

Yu Yangtao was surprised that the other person was not dead yet.

Qin Feng surged his internal force and approached the other person's side. What he found was Chen Sha's body floating through the water. He was surrounded by dark runes and the ice runes inside his body were getting eaten away.

"Save me!"

When Chen Sha saw Qin Feng and Yu Yangtao, a glimmer of hope filled his eyes as if he had forgotten they had been fighting each other to the death before. Their positions had completely switched since their previous encounter.

"Save you? Hah, you're better off dead!" Yu Yangtao could not help but jeer at the man. If Chen Sha had not intercepted, they would not have been swallowed by the Glutton Leviathan.

Qin Feng was expressionless as he said, "Don't waste your breath on him. People like these, saving him is the same as a passing mercy!"

With that said, Qin Feng curled a finger and burst forth internal force with a flick forward.

The internal force collided with Chen Sha's forehead.

Chen Sha's body shuddered before light began to leave his eyes.

"These must be the belongings of the aptitude users that the Glutton Leviathan killed!" Qin Feng breathed, his eyes glittered at the sight in front of him.

Those who were killed by the Glutton were about C-tier and among these aptitude users, some of its victims could very well be A-tiers as well.

"Yeah, but it's a shame that these things are completely useless to us!" Yu Yangtao said solemnly. Their lives were in danger, what good were a bunch of trinkets?

Qin Feng thought this funny and did not bother explaining himself, instead he said, "Since you don't have any interest in this, Sir. Don't mind me if I help myself!"

"Nothing's in this world is impossible. We might not have been able to damage it on the outside since this thing is so large and so powerful but once we're inside it it has no power against us. Naturally we'll have no problems!"

Yu Yangtao was stunned by Qin Feng's words.

But very soon he responded, "How could it not have any power? The Glutton Leviathan is a deep-sea whale beast. It's huge and it has control over the dark ability as well as the water ability. We're in its stomach right now and seawater could wash us away at any moment. Not to mention if we touch its blood we'll die instantly!"

Just as he finished talking a gush of sea water suddenly came down from above, along with a terrifying ten-meter long ultra beast.

Yu Yangtao jumped at the sight out of fright, this terrifying ultra beast was a B-tier beast emperor.

The B-tier ultra beast's body had been bitten in two and the moment it reached the stomach it was immediately being digested by the dark runes around them. The stomach acid was stronger near the Glutton's stomach walls but Qin Feng had to get close to it.

The Verdant Emperor Saber ignited with a dark fuchsia flame before he used it to hack open a hole in the wall.

With a slash, he cut a large gap in the stomach wall and pulled Yu Yangtao along as he jumped out. They were surrounded by red flesh and blood but after Qin Feng hopped out, his internal force was no longer being affected by the stomach acid.

All of a sudden, Yu Yangtao and Qin Feng felt the space around them turn.

What came after was a deafening roar that seemed to be right next to them.

That must have been the Glutton Leviathan's roar.

If it was just a roar, then it was nothing but this carried with it an overwhelming pressure.

The Glutton Leviathan was close to that of a beast diety.

This pressure made it hard for anyone to breathe.

Qin Feng could feel his veins pulse beneath his forehead while Yu Yangtao began to shake violently as his face turned pale, reeling and on the verge of collapse.

"Hold steady!"

Qin Feng reached out to grab Yu Yangtao with one hand and the other plunged the Verdant Emperor Saber into the Glutton's fleshy walls.

"Ah!" Yu Yangtao let out a scream. Although he had grown to accept his fate earlier, suddenly he was too afraid to die.

In his panic, he saw Qin Feng's face and suddenly a thought floated into his mind.

"I don't want to die. If I follow this person then I will survive! I won't die. I need to hang on, hang on!"

A B-tier through and through, pinning his hopes on some C-tier that they had just met for the first time. Nobody would have believed it if they heard such a thing.

Chapter 667: There Is Hope If We Stay Alive

But that just so happened to be the case right now!

The Glutton tossed and turned in the ocean and Qin Feng did not know what disaster would occur on the outside but he knew that he and Yu Yangtao had just been affected by a massive amount of pressure whilst inside the creature.

However, Qin Feng and Yu Yangtao both adapted under this huge amount of pressure, or in other words they had to adapt.

Yu Yangtao was drenched in cold sweat by then and said, "Back then I've heard in the Darkest City there's a special secret dimension that is holding back a horrible beast deity. The aura of this beast deity can stimulate someone's potential and improve their consciousness. It sounded like complete bullshit but I'm starting to believe it now!"

The Glutton Leviathan was not a beast deity but it was terrifying enough!

"This can indeed stimulate potential, but not many people can bear it!"

What Yu Yangtao did not know was that the pressure he felt was not the same pressure Qin Feng was under.

That lethargic feeling brought on by the dark runes before seemed to have disappeared the moment the piece of meat was swallowed.

In a nearby deep-sea vessel, several C-tiers began to bleed from all of the orifices on their face as they collapsed to the ground, leaving only one B-tier left standing along with a few who managed to withstand the powerful pressure.

They held on and frantically tried to escape. Fortunately the Glutton Leviathan did not try chasing after them and allowed the submarine to escape a horrible demise.

When these people managed to escape, they could not help but celebrate as they cried tears of joy.

"Boss, I thought I felt that something was off. The Glutton's cry. It sounded like it was hurt!"

"Yeah! That cry! It was a cry of pain!"

"Could it be that the Glutton Leviathan was attacked by another ultra beast? Yeesh! What could be stronger than the Glutton? The Hundred? The Devil Mountain?"

The B-tier listened to these people's discussion before weakly waving a hand. "I didn't see anything and I don't intend on seeing it either. We survived and that's already incredibly lucky. Stop thinking nonsense, hurry back so we can do repairs!"

The mighty and ruthless Glutton had reappeared.

Qin Feng took out a giant bone from his spatial rune equipment and tossed it back down to cover up the skull of the Glutton, he then leaped down and stood on top of it.

At that moment, the Glutton was no longer a wild sea beast, and it was only a dead puppet that was controlled by Qin Feng!

That was right, Qin Feng had used such a method to recruit another valiant soldier for himself.

Of course, he would then be unable to retrieve flesh from the Glutton's body, as it was already corroded by the dark runes. For humans, it was poisonous and unclean, and it would also decay along with time.

Yu Yangtao agreed to it, after all, as he had spent years roaming the ocean, he would just need to take a look at the time on his communicator and the position of the sun to identify the direction to travel the oceans.

Qin Feng controlled the Glutton and headed toward the identified direction.

Chapter 673: B-tier!

When Qin Feng said that he could not control the Glutton Leviathan for long, you better believe him!

Even though his conscious energy was indeed powerful, yet it was still not strong enough to control the Glutton Leviathan for too long a time—the damn thing was too enormous!

Then, Qin Feng sat down in a lotus position.

Yu Yangtao, who was resting next to him, suddenly sat up as he felt a terrifying presence near him.

'Again! It's this feeling again!' Yu Yangtao felt as though Qin Feng had morphed into a humanoid ultra beast—if he wanted to, he could open his mouth and bite him in half.

Although it was indeed quite easy for Qin Feng to kill him if he wanted—it would be as easy as stomping on an ant, Yu Yangtao knew Qin Feng was not going to do that.

Nonetheless, Yu Yangtao could not help but to be wary around him—much like how any living being would become wary around a predator that was on a higher level of the food chain.

All Yu Yangtao could do was stare at Qin Feng.

Meanwhile, the crystal core was now shrinking to ninety centimeters' in length while the Glutton Leviathan's body was experiencing a huge change too.

Although the dark runes had tainted its flesh, the thing still had a lot of powerful flesh and blood in it. The fact that it could take on the undead puppets for so long meant that it had a really sturdy hide too.

And now, as Qin Feng was absorbing it, the hide's color started to turn into that of grey. And then, when ocean tides crashed on the leviathan's body, the hide disintegrated and broke down into pieces!

Its flesh and blood too started to dry up before turning into blackened ash.

Qin Feng took the whole day—from sunrise to sunset to complete the absorption process.

Finally, he could feel that every single cell in his body was satiated.

Yu Yangtao almost called Qin Feng a "sir" before realizing that it might be a little too early and abhorrent for him to change his attitude toward Qin Feng right now. Nonetheless, it was also quite uncomfortable for him to just call Qin Feng by his name too.

Qin Feng responded with a smile. He did not think that coming to the Abyssal Ocean would result in such a great haul.

After giving the surrounding area a scan, Qin Feng saw that the Glutton Leviathan had now turned into a massive pile of fish skeleton. All its flesh, blood and hide were now gone.

It was true. The Glutton puppet looked even scarier than before too.

The beast's head was like a massive fish skull, with its sharp, terrifying teeth—teeth that could cut and crush anything that stood in its way. When it was enveloped by dark runes, the white skeleton looked as though they had been painted black.

"Let's go!"

Qin Feng fired up his conscious energy and ordered the Glutton puppet to keep on moving.

Chapter 674: Powerful Underling

Regardless, the way back home was still not going to be that easy. It was not just because of how perilous the Abyssal Ocean was but also other factors of risk one would expect travelling in the ocean.

As they were moving forward, suddenly everything around them turned dark. Then, as winds blew violently, rain started to pour down from the sky.

It was a storm!

During the storm, Qin Feng and Yu Yangtao quickly hid in the Glutton Leviathan's gigantic skull. They could feel, again, just how huge the Glutton Leviathan was while also witnessing just how destructive a storm could be in the ocean.

Right now, Qin Feng had only one option and that was to have the Glutton puppet dive deep into the sea and slowly move forward underwater. Yet, when he did that, they found an underwater rift. They were really close to being sucked into the rift.

And… as they were trying to navigate around the thing, an A-tier sea beast appeared from within the rift.

Qin Feng did not opt to fight with the A-tier sea beast. Instead, he ordered the Glutton puppet to flee, with them hiding inside its skull.

From the first day Qin Feng was announced missing, he had spent the first day taking on the Glutton Leviathan, and then spent the next two days travelling on the ocean with Yu Yangtao before finally getting out of Abyssal Ocean.

"Beep Beep Beep!"

Qin Feng's communicator finally received signals from the shore. There were a lot of messages and voicemails—most of them from He Jia.

Since everyone reassured her that there was no way Qin Feng was dead, He Jia kept on with her efforts in trying to get in contact with him. Nonetheless, the amount of messages that she sent to him on the third day was much lesser than the days before.

"Beep Beep Beep!"

He Jia was calling Qin Feng's number again. This time, her communicator was not giving her a message saying that it could not connect to Qin Feng's communicator; instead, it was the sound that it had connected and was waiting for him to pick up.

Then, she could hear a click from the other side. And then, a familiar face showed up on her communicator's virtual screen.

"Hey, Assistant He!" Qin Feng nodded to He Jia.

"Governor Qin! You're alive!" He Jia was so excited that she almost cried out in joy.

Qin Feng nodded again. "Yeap. I'm alive and well!"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean anything ill. I meant… I'm so happy to see that you're alive! Are you hurt? Where are you right now?"

He Jia threw a series of questions at Qin Feng before calming down and looking at Qin Feng.

It had already been three days since they last met and Qin Feng's skin seemed to have darkened a little from bathing under the sun. His clothes were still very neat and not torn or damaged at all.

He Jia did not know that Qin Feng had the Sacred Armor on him; so, it was not possible for his clothes to endure any damage. And Qin Feng did not seem to be hurt or wounded too.

"I'm now out of the Abyssal Ocean. As such, I should be able to come back to the dock soon. If it's possible, could you book a dock for me so that I could come back in secret? I want to keep a low profile so that I would not cause a scene."

"Ah! Is there something wrong?"

"Let's just say that I've brought a trophy. You'll see soon enough. Alright, I'm hanging up. I've been away for several days now so I need to get in contact with my friends and underlings too."

It was a gigantic fish skeleton floating on the vast, blue sea.

A freaky, horrifying fish skeleton! One that was so terrifying that when looked at, she could feel a creeping chill running down her spine.

"Wait. There's something on the top of the skull!"

"Zoom in!"

"Yes! There! Right there!"

Not just He Jia, even the patrols had noticed it too.

The giant fish skeleton was able to rise up really high. It was already now near the port so the seabed was not as deep as the deeper parts of the ocean. And the Glutton Leviathan's limbs were so huge that it even rose up from the waters, like four gigantic bone pillars!

"I am Qin Feng, the governor of North Sea State. I have the invitation to support East Sea City's efforts in fending off the sea beasts."

Yu Yangtao, however, yelled out loud, "Commander Zhang! It's me! Yu Yangtao!"

Zhang Geng was surprised to hear his voice. "Mr Yu! I thought that you're devoured by the Glutton Leviathan!"

News about the Glutton Leviathan's attack was spread everywhere in the city. They even had a list of the deceased out in the papers and Yu Yangtao was one of the deceased. Now that he thought about it, even Qin Feng's name was on the list.

"Hahaha! This is all thanks to President Qin! I'm alive right now and it's all thanks to him!"

It was apparent that Yu Yangtao was alive and well, and quite happy to return to East Sea City too.

As Zhang Geng's boat got near to the Glutton Leviathan, the other patrol officers on the boat were overwhelmed by its presence, resulting in their faces turning as white as a sheet—they were all C-tiers.

The Glutton Leviathan's skeleton was so enormous that it looked like a massive island!
