I shook my head. "No, I insisted. It's too embarrassing if I don't pay. It's a big hassle because I'm going to have it done."
"If that's what you want, go ahead. Or him, I'm leaving and I'm going to go to the tavern. If you need anything, you can just pass by our little house over there," he pointed in a direction.
"Just ask the people there where Aling Carina's house is."
I nodded politely. He smiled at me once before turning and walking away.
I sighed as the sun finally set. It's still not that dark, though. The sky is overcast but not that dark yet.
I quietly opened the gate. Even though it's already been years, the paint of the iron fences is still in a good shape. It hasn't faded and the color is still bright. Maybe they used good quality paint that's why it took so long. I gasped as I surveyed the area inside the barricade.
