"No problem. You are a big client, so I'll willingly assist you with anything you need. We have good architects as furniture designers, and on our next meeting I will let you see their designs."
He looked at me coldly.
"Then, it's settled."
"Good." I smiled even I wanted to curse him so bad right now.
"How's your life?" he asked casually. Even if I don't want to answer, I have to. I need to be civil. Also, he is now my client. And that means, he'll bring a good amount of money in my company. But of course, I shouldn't be blinded by his wicked tactics. Maybe this is part of his plan so I have to be careful.
"As you can see, I'm doing fine. It's good to be back in my own country."
His brow shot up. His eagle-like eyes are menacing and cold. "Alone?"
"Yup. I came home alone, Mr. Mongreco."
"No... uh, boyfriend?"
I laughed a bit, not shaken by the coldness of his voice. But that laugh was devoid of any mirth.
