Chapter 34 - Chapter Thirty-Four: Biting to Escape

Genovi:

My head throbbed violently, my old man stirring awake next to me. Rage boiled in my veins, my eyes seeing red. My fangs grew over my teeth, my old man gearing up to spar with me once more. Crashing into me, her slender hand pressed my face against the floor. Holding my hands behind my back, my cock hardened. My inner wolf flickered between revenge and pleasure, her other hand pinning my old man against the wall.

"Calm the fuck down, you fucking idiots!" She roared venomously, not letting up our restraints. "Now tell me what you were doing with the hunter!" Her strength began to crush his ribs, my sheer panic growing on his face. Both her eyes dyed an inky black, claws creaking from her fingernails. Gripping the floor, I needed her to stop before she went too far into the darkness. There was no way to stop if she went full dark, my old needing to listen right away.

"Just tell us, Dad! Or she is going to kill you!" I shouted desperately, her claws dangerously close to my face. "I love you and I am very sorry that I hit you! I was just frustrated and hadn't have the chance to work through mom's death." Clearing his throat, his answer shocked me to my core.

"I have been starting a revolution from inside!" He blurted out thunderously, her claws retracting. "I am breaking the organization from the inside." Blood mixed with tears, her eyes returning to the golden beauties they were. Regret dimmed her eyes, scarlet darkened his t-shirt. Lifting up his shirt, a steady stream of curse words flooded from her lips. Nasty claw marks covered his chest, broken teardrops crashing to the bloodied blue and white tiled floor. Leaping to her feet, her hair fluttered wildly around her face as she shifted through the drawers for medical tools. Locking the door behind her, Dr. Lunar banged on the door. Successfully finding a stitching needle and medical thread, the nurses began to jiggle the handle. My old man struggled from the blood loss, her frantic eyes looking for a way out. Something was up, neither of us not picking up on it quite yet.

"What is going on in there?" Dr. Lunar inquired, the sound of hunters crashing down the hall. "Come on you stupid fucking mutt. I am just so excited to kill you, and test your preserved body for the rest of your life." Stitching up my father really quick, my whole body ached as I sat up. Pressing a black gun into our palms, all of us groaned in dull pain. The irritated doctor jiggled the door handle faster, her claws extending from her fingernails. Slicing the front of her cast, her leg healed in ten seconds. Bruises dotted her leg, her other foot sliding into her boot. Pushing past the pain, her fingers wrapped around a scarlet fan.

"We are going to have to kill to get out." She ordered sharply, leaning against the hospital bed. "It hurts to move my leg. I will have to break it again at some point. The fractures are small, but they won't hold for long. If only I could activate this damn fan, my magic is drained. This was a parting gift from my grandmother. Right, I just need to cut myself." Sweat drenched her skin, the bruising growing worse by the second. Slicing her palm on the sharp edge of the counter, her blood flowed into the fan.

"I can only use this once and it's already taking its toll." She continued quietly, a red mask appearing on her face. "Jump out the window now! This attack is going to destroy the building. Onyxio, come!" A swirl of black water soaked us, Onyxio popping up behind her with sleek dual blades with black water dragons dancing from the golden hilt.

"Yes master." He said simply, noting the rattling door handle. "What are your orders?" Tossing us out the window, the two of us landed on a giant branch. Scoffing in disbelief, the two of us jumping to the grass underneath our feet. Charging through the barrier, my old man begged me to stop. His words fell on deaf ears, my feet pounding into the sterile building. Hiding behind a wall, cold sweat dripped off of my brow. Checking the cartilage, my face fell at its emptiness. Extending my claws, I needed to find my Celly to bring her to safety. If I understood the way her magic worked, she would become a wolf once more for a couple of days if she pushed herself too far. Waiting for the first hunter to approach me, my ears picked up on the several children calling for help. Slamming my claw through his throat, blood squirted all over my face as I ripped it out. Putting his helmet over my head, the armor barely fit. Stealing his card, my boots pounded towards the basement. A terrifying sight greeted me, Celly leaned against the wall. The fan lay in pieces next to her, the sea of dead bodies sliced up into chunks of meat made perfect sense. Raising her clawed hand at me, my trembling fingers took off my helmet. Her blood soaked face smiled brightly at me, her hands cupping a bloodied scientist's card. Sliding it over to me, it slammed into my dress boots.

"Get the children from the basement." She wheezed, struggling to her feet. "I have to finish a job." A gun quivered in her hand, Onyxio popping up behind her. The serious look on her face told me that she meant business, her hands grabbing his dislocated shoulder. A loud fuck exploded from his lips the moment she jammed it back into place.

"If you take me to Dr. Lunar, I will let you devour her soul." She promised darkly, loading up her gun with a fresh batch of bullets. "I have a problem to solve. I may not have my magic, but I have my wits and strength." Her leg snapped in half, Onyxio catching her. Placing her on his back, his white hair mixed with his black as they dashed through the body-ridden halls. Pounding towards the basement, the key let me through each glass door. Skidding to a stop in front of a metal door, the door opened on its own. Horror widened my eyes as Dr. Lunar stood proudly in the way. Scarlet stained her hair, her left arm dangled by a tendon. A young vampire struggled in her arms, a wooden stake pressed against his head. Tears welled up in my eyes, fury burning away. No child deserved this, my fingers gripping the card tighter.

"I will stake him right here if you move one step closer to me." She threatened cruelly, Onyxio knocking me to the cold metal floor. Celly aimed her gun towards the center of her forehead, a piece of glass spinning in her other palm. Curious at just what she was planning, she flicked her wrists discreetly. An unnatural howl escaped the doctor's lips, the shard of glass slicing off the hand holding the stake. Nausea wracked me, horror gripping her face.

"Get the children now!" She snapped hotly, her golden eyes watching me. "What are you waiting for?" Brushing past them, the navy haired vampire clung to my wrist as my sweaty palm slammed onto the release button. A hissing noise broke the still air, all of the glass doors swinging open. Vampire children of all ages slammed into my legs, a pop alerting us. The doctor crashed to the cold metal floor. A bullet hole greeted me, the smoking hole causing nausea to wrack my stomach. Blood pooled underneath her head, the rest of her hair staining a deep red. Shrill alarms blared, a robotic voice sending chills up my spine. Shielding them all from her body, Celly trembling with the smoking gun still raised in the attack position.

"Self-destruct begins in five minutes." The robotic voice warned simply, the children's eyes shining with tears. "Please evacuate." Guiding them down the halls, gentle sobs shook their bodies. The top floors began to cave in on themselves, Onyxio slicing pieces of concrete in half to provide us a way out. The front door taunted us, the electricity flickering out. Aiming a wave of black water, the glass shattered upon impact. Sprinting over the line, the barrier still remained. Shoving them through, my father honked the horn a black hearse. Ripping open the back, orange flames stole a floor at a time. All twelve vampire children were in the back, Onyxio setting her down in the back. Climbing in after her, all of the children jumped ten feet into the air the moment I slammed the door shut. The morning sun peeked over the trees, Celly offering her bleeding arm to the children, Onyxio covering up all of the windows. Celly's phone dinged a million times, all of her friends asking if she was okay. Ignoring it, the children approached her cautiously. Sinking their tiny fangs into her arm. Sucking away, her teeth gritted with pain. One by one, their bruised skin cleared up. Finishing up, they all leapt into her arms. Flashing them her real smile, she ruffled all of their hair. Sitting across from her, she began to tell them a fairy tale while wrapping up her arm. Falling asleep in their spots, she placed a thick wool blanket over them. Knocking on the window between my old man and her, he opened it up. The smoking gun rested by her side, gun powder residue all over her shaking hands.

"I am sorry for hurting you." She apologized brokenly, her head bowing in shame. "Thank you for saving us. I owe you my l-" Cupping her trembling hand, his thumb rubbed the top. Clearing his throat, his crooked grin relaxing her visible nerves.

"You don't owe me anything. I am your father, right?" He comforted her tenderly, letting her hand go. "I would go to Hell and back for you kid. You are going to bring peace back to our communities. I am sorry that you had to kill so many people today. It must be hard for you, kiddo." Resting the back of her head against the window, her hand reached for me. My wolf wagged my tail, Onyxio sleeping away. Something had to be said first. Crawling over to her, my claws still hadn't retracted. The tenseness in my muscles still remained, the trauma of watching her shoot a person terrifying me. The numb look in her eyes told me that she didn't want to do it, tears had flooded from her eyes the entire duration of the escape from that horrid place. Wrapping her arms around my neck, her lips brushed against the nape of my neck. Feeling her bump against my abs woke me up, my claws retracting.

"I am sorry for getting into a fist fight with you." I apologized meekly, my old man rolling his eyes. Tracing the bruises on my face, her slender hand pressed an ice pack to my face. Vomit threatened to come back up at the sight of her shattered leg, my old man apologizing to me through his quiet smile. Tires squealed to a halt in front of the funeral home, the garage shielding the vampires from the sun. Yellow lights flickered, an elderly man ushering us in. The vampire children snapped awake, flooding in before us. Settling down in the basement apartment, my strong arms held Celly. Onyxio set up the television for them, Celly already on the phone with someone else. Listening a bit closer, Benji's cold voice echoed on the other side of the phone.

"You found our missing kids, and I can't thank you enough. Hell, we didn't even tell you about it." He groaned tiredly, my eyes picturing him rubbing the bridge of his nose. "Thank you very much. We will pick them up tomorrow, so keep a good eye on them. I owe you big time. Until the next howl, my dear friend." Hanging up the phone, she motioned for me to set her down.

"I love you so much." She growled through gritted teeth, shoving her bones back into place. "Golden rays of light, finish healing my broken bones." Hovering her hand over her leg, a golden light bathed the coffin room. The light died down as all of her bones fused back together, my old man popping his head into the room. Running his hand through his hair, his quiet smile pointed out his mixture of tiredness and relief.

"Do you want to wash off some of the blood?" He offered kindly, the elderly man not far behind him. "This is my father, Genovi Sr, but you can call him Genovi. Isn't that right, pops?" The five foot nine man's caramel's eyes twinkled with adventure, his wrinkles telling a wild tale of an arduous life. This was yet another secret that he had kept from me, my lips curling into a snarl. Taking my arm, her touch relaxed my muscles. Taking a couple of deep breaths, my old man hid this for a reason. God damn it! I was going to find out one way or another. Guiding us through, Genovi spoke up for the first time. His scar caught my eye, his finger tracing it.

"I made your father keep me a secret." He explained calmly, stopping at a spare bedroom. "I didn't want you involved in my problems." Dusting off his black business suit, Celly dragged me in. Thanking him sweetly, her thighs rubbed together. Slamming the door shut in his face, the lock clicked behind her. Shoving me into the bathroom, she peeled off her blood drenched. Hopping into the shower, my shaking fingers struggled to unbutton everything. Managing to get them off, they landed in a soft thud on the floor. Stepping into the warm water, pink water flitted down the drain. Getting down on her knees, her hand stroked my thick girth. Groaning gruffly, her sweet lips wrapping around my thick girth. Burying my fingers into her hair, each suck sending my inner wolf into a frenzy. Flicking her tongue in the sweet spot, my body twitched.

"Celly, stop!" I protested weakly, my resistance fading away. "If you don't stop I won't be able to control myself." Sucking faster, her fangs brushed the side of my length. Pulling her up, her body pressed against the white subway tile. Intertwining my fingers with hers, a scream shattered the running water the moment I jammed myself in. Her soft skin grazed mine, my fangs tracing her body. Biting her where I could, my name exploded from her lips.

"Novi, I love it when you bite me." She gasped lustfully, grinding her hips into mine. "I kind of want to bite you too." Spinning her around, goosebumps popped up on my skin as her fangs sank into my skin repeatedly. Each bite sent chills up my spine, blood dripping off of my skin. Wrapping her legs around my waist, a giggle twinkled in my ears the moment I pinned her to the wall. Another bout of nausea wracked me, today's event throwing me off. Finishing up real quick, she barely finished with my rushed ending. Tripping out of the shower, my finger barely wrapped around the toilet bowl before hot vomit flew up my throat. Plunking into the water, she finished up washing herself off. Rubbing my back, this vulnerability pissed me off. Slapping her hand away, I still felt filthy. No, disgusting. Blood pooled underneath my hands, her hurt eyes quivering with tears.

"I don't understand how you can move on after shooting someone and slaughtering all of those people!" I barked venomously, tossing up another bout of vomit. "You are a monster if you can just move on." My words already did their damage, her trembling fingers tugging on her bra. Pulling on a black t-shirt and dark gray sweatpants, she brushed past me. Teardrops crashed before each step, the burden written all over her face. Pausing in the doorway, her golden eyes glistened with emotional agony.

"You're wrong." She uttered simply, gripping the dark wood until it began to crack. "People like her never change. They lock kids like me in cells, and poke us until there's nothing left in us. Unlike you, I spent a short amount of time in one of those programs when I was sixteen. In fact, she was in charge of the experiment that destroyed me. She focused on me the most, injecting what she could no matter what. For two months, she cut me open just to see how many times I would heal. I had every right to kill her. You saw the state of the kids, didn't you? They are starving and rather malnourished at the moment. The burden of each death weighs on my shoulders, and no I can't just move on because it is easy. People depend on me, and I can't afford such a luxury. I could never afford such a luxury. I see the blood and body parts wherever I go, the level of the blood rising higher than I can swim. I am going to help take care of those kids." Rushing down to the basement, the humming of the light left me alone in my thoughts. Washing up really quick, the fluffy towel was barely a relief, my grandfather walking into the room. Scarlet burned my cheeks, my towel covering me up in time.

"What gives, old man?" I shouted hotly, his lips curling into a cocky grin. "Why are you smiling?" Chuckling softly to himself, my quaking fingers throwing a navy sweatshirt over my head. Pulling on a pair of soft sweatpants, the conversation felt a bit easier to be had.

"You need to go to her." He uttered pointedly, his look of disapproval stabbing me in my chest. "People like her have been forced to kill. She was telling the truth. I was the doctor in charge of the two month program. Her parents sold her off to me, the hunters wanting information on her powers. That is how we discovered that she was the descendant of the original werewolf. Don't kill me, but you can bring her a favorite ice cream. I used to do that all of the time after each exercise. I fought everyday for that program to end, but it never did." My inner wolf was too tired to kill him for his involvement, choosing to fluff up my hair instead. A grandson probably shouldn't really beat up his grandfather, my fingers squeezing the towel.

"Then you are special to her." I suggested bitterly, shoving my hands into my pocket. "I can't kill you then. I already hurt her enough. Tell me this though. Did she do the right thing in killing all of those people?" Biting his lips, darker secrets lay beneath his eyes. Growing impatient, my inner wolf began to pace in pure annoyance. Answers, I needed answers.

"Yes. Dr. Lunar would never have stopped." He replied honestly, turning to leave. "We bonded over mint chocolate chip ice cream, so bring her down a bowl. I would like you to keep me alive so I could get to know you as well. Also can I point out that she is a certified genius. She may hide it, but she has the highest IQ in the country. That makes the right words hurt more. Geniuses take everything to heart. So think about what you say next time. Off you go." Shoving a bowl of mint chip ice cream into my palms, my mind wondering where he was getting everything. There was more to my grandfather than I knew, so many questions sitting on the tip of my tongue. Wandering down to the basement, she sat in a display coffin. Her chin rested on the knees, my strong arms scooping her out. Not protesting at all, her face brightened slightly at the sight of the ice cream.

"You really shouldn't be with a monster." She whispered shamefully, the vampire children slumbering away. "It was awful what they did to me, but your grandfather got me through it. I didn't want to say anything when I saw Dr. Lunar. Maybe it was the trauma talking, but I couldn't find the words. Then I heard the children, and made a plan. By kicking you out, I knew you would burst in at the right time. I needed you to act brave. I am sorry that you had to see the damage of what they did to me. They changed my body permanently, and it can't be changed back. That is the reason why I bleed every single time I use magic. The drugs they used attempt to suppress it each time. I am just a burd-'' Shaking my head, my hand scooped up a bit of ice cream. Feeding her a bit, she needed an uplifting speech.

"You aren't. You did the right thing or we all would have died." I comforted her sweetly, my heart melting at the sight of her bright smile. "I don't know all of the answers, but a certain old man told me to take care of you. I promise to. Can I have some?" Her laughter twinkled in the air, a spoon of ice cream hovering in my face. Taking a bite, the creaminess coating my throat. Enjoying the moment, I was so happy that she was mine and only mine.
