For Tirta, meditating is the same as breathing. He doesn't need more concentration, he doesn't need more preparation. His body seemed to have naturally accepted the ascetic system by itself. He doesn't need more effort. Many of the adults around him used to say that gaining concentration in order to fully fall into the deepest sessions of asceticism took more than a year. In the first months of their asceticism, it will be very difficult for them to concentrate, and some may even keep their eyes open every few hours.
In the case of Tirta. He didn't even get into that much trouble, since he was 3 years old, when he was just starting to speak fluently. He had often seen his father and mother imprisoned. He had often noticed people imprisoned on the coast.
