Chapter 9 - House in the meadow

Kintan, who suddenly disappeared along with the rain of blood, made Putra automatically run through the crowds to reach the Distribution Pole, without realizing that all his disguises had been exposed, and several people began to prepare to arrest him.

Clarissa immediately activated the mark on Putra's wrist, pulling him into the air and inserting him into Clarissa's dimensional portal. In an instant, Putra suddenly arrived at a night hill that he didn't even recognize.

There, the sight of weeds swept across the hills. Putra momentarily forgot what he was dealing with before when he realized the white mattress he was sitting on. Beside the mattress, there was a table, and a book of matching colors. Above him, a view of the night sky really amazed Putra. The sky is not only filled with thousands of stars, but also with an overview of the five layers of soil, from L-07 to L-3.5, complete with the latest news data contained in each soil layer.

This time, new news appeared on L-06 about the disappearance of the fugitive they almost ate together, Kintan, his friend.

"Back to reality already?" quiped Clarissa, who had just arrived at the place along with the weeds that began to shrink and turn into short meadows under her ankles. "You were almost drugged by all the guards at the Distribution Pole for panicking too much."

Putra frowned and asked, "Where is this?"

"In my house, this small world is my home. If you only get to the part of the forest below, you can exit and arrive at L-3.5"

"This is in the L-3.5 region?"

Clarissa nodded slowly. "Not all creatures can enter 3.5 if they don't have special powers or aren't invited."

"I have power."

"You can't create your own universe yet." Clarissa commented, "The reason why we are labeled Senior Worker is because we are able to create a universe for our own 'workspace', even if it is not as large and powerful as the Candrasas."

"You could say, you guys are stronger than the creatures on the top layers, but also not comparable to Candrasa?"

"That's right." Clarissa then sat down on the white mattress that Putra was also sitting on, and directly faced him. "You clearly know who brought Kintan, don't you?"

"Yes, it looks like Arta," replied Putra, folding his legs and sitting cross-legged.

"I have come to understand why Arta is so hard to track down by fugitive hunters."

He looked at Clarissa in disbelief and said, "What do you mean?"

"He seems to understand how to create his own universe and create dimensional portal doors, even in certain places." She chuckled softly after saying that. "I even had to practice and keep dying to be able to master it. Why is he, who has only had the power of wrena for this year and has only just arrived in this world, already able to do it?"

"Well... he's always mastered things faster than others, ever since he was a human." Putra smiled faintly, then immediately raised his head to look at Clarissa in surprise when she had fully understood her words. "Wait! So is there a way for you to create your own universe and dimensional portal?" Clarissa nodded slowly. "How?!"

"You know, basically, humans and wrena have fairly similar DNA, or rather, wrena have always been able to adapt to all kinds of differences in the various creatures that are here. That's also what made the wrenas love interbreeding in the past. However, when humans finally fell into Yamani, they were considered different because they looked too ordinary and had nothing unique, apart from the meat that turned out to be delicious. Unlike other creatures who have to mate first so their offspring can get the power of wrena, humans only need to get blood or eat others to become wrena. It's as simple as that."

Clarissa continues her explanation. "However, as you know, having just isn't enough. Not all wrena, or even humans, can activate that power, or match that power. It takes hard training; some require external coercion, and not all bodies are able to withstand that coercion. For example, when you see someone can suddenly become very strong because of the hypnosis of one of Candrasa's members."

"Oh..." Putra muttered, remembering the battle they had in Malang. "Arta almost bled to death because his strength was greatly enhanced by Grilya, Candrasa's subordinate."

Clarissa chuckled at hearing that. "Grilya really sucks when you become her enemy." She then continued her discussion, "The dimensional portal door, the creation of a space or universe, is the basic standard for Candrasa's future successors. The stronger the level of creation of Space/Universe, the closer they are to Yamani's highest throne, becoming members of Candrasa, becoming accomplices of The Queen."

She continued to say. "Those interdimensional portals can be created once you have mastered your natural powers as a wrena. As long as you manage to create the image clearly, the stronger your willpower is, you'll usually be able to create your own portal, then create your own universe.

"Imagine a space from a small part first, the size of a palm, then getting bigger, bigger, and wider like this universe of mine. It took me a whole year of concentration to create all of this—" Clarissa turned her head, looked at Putra, who was now raising his hand, creating an electric shock over the upturned hand, and in the second after that, without him noticing, a drop of blood started pouring out of Putra's nostril. "No matter how hard you try, if that imagination doesn't form clearly in your head, and you can't concentrate strongly, and you'll bleed to death."

She wiped the blood coming out of Putra's nose, breaking his concentration. He had just been trying to raise his own power level. "Blood will come out of your nose, mouth, eyes, ears, and all the open holes in your body without you being aware of it. Because, the deeper we concentrate on that big thing, the harder it is for us to let go of focus on other things, including our own body.

"That's why I hate seeing your partner able to master such a big thing in a very short time. If he wasn't a fugitive, he would have been on par with Dirga or the Candrasas."

"In a physical battle without the power of wrena, Arta has been on par with Dirga since he was a human," defended Putra unconsciously. "The fact that he killed all of the strongest and smartest members of Berawa has also proven that he is more than just strong," he continued quietly, sounding dejected.

Clarissa chose not to say anything about it, "So..." she muttered, changing the topic, while looking up at the sky, which now showed the entire land plan in some of Yamani's soil layers. "We lost Kintan, and it seemed impossible to find Arta, which led Kintan to remember that he could move around easily because of his strength."

"I'm sure Kintan is safe with Arta," Putra muttered quietly, "Even without evidence, I'm sure he didn't kill all of our friends for no reason. He couldn't possibly kill someone close to him without pressure from anyone." Putra then glanced at Clarissa for a moment and then looked at the floor plan in the night sky, in front of them. "Looks like we really have to go to Jane first."

"She has information about Dirga?"

Putra shrugged nonchalantly. "I've never—actually, it's hard to talk to her since we separated here a year ago, but I know Jane has a lot of information. She likes to travel."
