"Dad!!! what do you mean by that and besides bringing the treadmill here is not helping." she shouted knowing clearly that he heard her.
Touching her head, she was thankful that they had removed that bandage and she no longer looked like a ghost.
Sitting down in the bed, she just remembers the promise, she had made to her ex-dad, she could clearly remember their happy faces when that saw her mum was leaving.
Sighing she stands up but then she felt her leg hit a certain small figure causing her to look down.
"Arggggh, my nose."
"Ohhhh sorry, I did not see you there." she says bending down to his length. She sees that he was trying to pick up his glasses, touching the floor immensely.
The glasses where very close to him but it seemed as if he wasn't seeing it.
And that's when she figured out that, he had hypermetropia, his eyes could not focus on nearby objects, so she stretched towards the glasses, picking it from the floor. She turns him around, putting on his glasses for him.
He stands up, adjusting the glasses on his eyes.
"Sis, what were you thinking of, that made you not notice that I was standing right in front of you?" he asked immediately he felt comfortable in his glasses.
"Ohh nothing much." she says cleaning the unseen dust from her knees.
"Really!!! I kinda overheard your conversation with dad and..."
"Oh that is a problem, I can go. I am just sad that I will leave you." she says to him, rubbing his head. He smiles widely at her giving her a hug.
Walking hand in hand, they move towards the stairs.
"I want to carry him to the hospital for his check up." Adeline voice is heard from their back.
"How would a bride be taking someone to hospital, I think I need to tell your husband about this." Fiend says which made her mother giggle.
"I will take him to the hospital myself but what are they meant to check and who would I meet??" she says to her mother.
"Okay, when you get to the Central Hospital, tell them you want to see Doctor James for an eye checkup." she says smiling at Theo.
"Mama, I know the place so I will direct sis." Theo says swinging our entwined hands.
"Ohh my little brother knows where he does his eye check up." Fiend says pinching his cheeks.
"Start going, the time of his checkup is 1:00 and the time is 12:49." she says.
They enter into her car, with her singing for Theo.
"You are the best brother!!!!"
"the bestest brother ever!!!" she sang with her terrible voice.
On the way, a huge truck is seen dashing into a white car , sending it flying. Seeing the accident she revises, moving backward, she parks the car far from where the accident occurred.
The sound of the car horns made Theo start crying. She turns to look at him, he was in an encroached position crying. Hearing his voice made her recall her accident but not clearly, shaking it off she walks towards the back door.
She holds him in her arms,
"It's fine, nothing is wrong, see your sister is here... why don't you stop crying." she says almost in tears. Right now she was panicking, what will possibly make him start crying just by hearing car horns because she was sure he didn't see the accident.
His voice had reduced a bit after she cuddled him.
"Your sister wants to help the person, okay??" she says to him
"Okay sis, Theo won't cry anymore.'' he says to her cleaning his tears with the edge of his cloth.
"Your sister knows that Theo is a big boy.." she says roughing his hair and cleaning the remnants of his tears while giving him a hug.
