The Rawsone Residence, Denver, Colorado.....
Hadrian Rawsone arrived home after a rather eventful and tiering session with Dr. Maureen Welch. He felt positive that his days of sleepwalking and bedding strangers while semi-conscious would be a thing of the past as he entered his front door. He was very much in a good mood and had been looking forward to spending some time with his wife. Julia was in the kitchen when he arrived and had a head start on the celebration with her choice of drink for the night. He was amused by her lack of self control, as this was one of the few times she had allowed herself to wind down.
"Hey Jules." said Hadrian as he entered the kitchen with a smile on his face.
She nearly leapt into his arms when she took notice of his arrival. She was waiting for him all day and desperate to know the results of the session.
"How did it go?" she asked curious despite her tipsy state.
"Better than I expected." replied Hadrian with a smile. "I feel like my old self again and I couldn't be happier."
"I guess we owe Maureen a great big thank you." said Julia amazed about the results and it had only been one session.
"That we do." replied Hadrian taking up the bottle of wine his wife was drinking from and helping himself to what remained.
It's been a while since they were at peace here in the house and they were going to enjoy it for however long it would last.
"Did the girls call?" asked Hadrian downing the rest of the wine from the bottle.
He had not bothered to use a glass due to how little was left.
"Not today, possibly due to being busy as of late." replied Julia enjoying the carefree effects of the wine in her system.
Hadrian took the time to turn on the stereo system and Julia smiled when she heard the all too familiar tune. It seemed to lift her spirits a bit to know that the man she loved had returned to her in full.
"You know I need your love, you've got that hold over me..." Hadrian sang as he took her hand and pulled her close as he began dancing across the kitchen with her.
Julia couldn't help but remember all of the times he had played that song for her over the years and each time it made her feel as loved as she had been the first time they got together.
"I just wanna say this is my way of telling you everything I could never say before..." continued Hadrian as they danced along the kitchen floor.
Tears began to stream down Julia's cheeks as she recalled just how much she had loved her husband and how close she had come to losing him when he had been shot. The guilt from her callous disregard for the pain he was going through at the loss of their child despite his many attempts to alleviate hers came flooding back in waves.
She stopped the dance and pulled away.
"Hadrian..." she began knowing all too well what had to be done. "There's something I need to tell you."
Hadrian didn't seem bothered by the lack of dancing as his focus remained on his wife's tears and his natural inclination to make her happy took over. He wiped them away and kissed her on top of the head.
"I miss the girls too." he said catching her off guard. "But I should think we could have a few moments to ourselves, after all Mrs. Rawsone it has been a while since you and I had a decent moment alone together."
He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in close.
"As you can see, Mrs. Rawsone...I've missed you very much." he said in a low tone.
A series of kisses stopped Julia dead in her tracks as she found herself giving in to her own desires for her husband after all their time apart.
"Hadrian..." she tried again in vain. "There's....something..."
Hadrian lifted her off her feet and carried her out of the kitchen and up the stairs. They exchanged another series of kisses before entering their shared bedroom.

Minutes seemed to pass by in a blink as Hadrian laid his rather breathless wife down in the center of their shared bed. The two of them found themselves getting a little hot and heavy due to the influx of good news and the wine. Try as she might to enjoy the time she had with her husband, the guilt had consumed her and she just wasn't in the mood. Hadrian began to sense this as she pushed him away. He was confused at first, but noticed the tears streaming down her cheeks once more.
"Jules..." he said pulling her into his embrace in a bid to comfort her. "I'm sorry... I should have guessed that you wouldn't be in the mood after everything that's happened."
Julia closed her eyes feeling the guilt rise to the surface again.
"Listen, how about I just hold you until you feel better." he said wrapping his arms around her as she rested her head against his chest.
The tears continued to stream down her cheeks as the first time she spent the night with Hadrian came back in waves adding to the immense guilt she felt after her betrayal.

The Renwald Residence, 1973....
A knock on the door alerted Julia as she hurried to compose herself after her near on breakdown after her latest vomiting session due to unwanted pregnancy. She reached the door in record time opening it in time to see Hadrian standing on the other end with a bandage over his right hand. He seemed a bit out of sorts and attempted to hide the apparent injury from her, which was puzzling. Before they left the school, she agreed to meet him at her place for their assignment while her parents were out. He had insisted that they couldn't do the project at his house due to his mother and her company. Afterward she had a run in with Rhett Davis, he threw in her face everything he did to her at the party that she had not even wanted to attend and tossed a handful of bills at her as she tried her best to hold back tears from the sheer rage she carried as a result of that bastard being able to get away with what he had done to her. To make matters' worse, Rhett insisted she abort the child, the only evidence linking him to his heinous crime from that night.
Furious and unable to do much about it, She watched him walk off with a grin on his face knowing all too well that there was nothing that could be done to him because of his status as star of the school football team and being the son of very rich and successful parents. He could make her life even more of a living hell if he so desired and there was nothing much she could do about it. As school came to an end, Julia was on her way off campus when word spread like a wildfire that Rhett Davis was beaten nearly to death in the boy's locker room. No one saw anything nor anyone leave for that matter. Rhett sustained a good deal of injuries having his ribs broken, his eye socket smashed, his septum deviated, and his testicles swollen indicating he suffered immensely from being kicked repeatedly before being found.
Hadrian had been nowhere to be found during that time and showed up with an injured hand that seemed to occur at the same time Rhett was beaten. Julia had not known what to say when she put two and two together and came up with Hadrian having something to do with Rhett's beating but she didn't know why a boy that spent most of his time drawing in his sketchbook would have an interest in revenge against Rhett of all people. Julia let Hadrian in concerned about his hand and the possible ramifications if anyone else ever found out that he beat Rhett. Being expelled or brought up on charges a possibility despite everything Rhett had done and got away with.
Hadrian was quiet for the most part as he stood in her living room. There was no doubt in her mind that his hand must have hurt something awful and could have possibly been broken. Without a word, she went into the kitchen and brought him an ice pack to soothe the pain at least moderately for all his efforts. There was a look of understanding that passed between them and Hadrian seemed to come to terms with the fact that she knew he was the one that beat the tar out of Rhett Davis and why. Unbeknownst to her, Hadrian had the unfortunate pleasure of witnessing the exchange and Rhett's bragging about what he had done and how he was going to get away with it.
Knowing just how terrified and heart broken Julia had been ever since the incident, Hadrian couldn't let the bastard get away with it and took matters into his own hands.
Julia and he stood in silence for a few moments as she tended to his hand, but something else seemed to be occurring between them and she just couldn't let Hadrian walk away knowing what he might have been facing if anyone ever found out what he did. Before she could stop herself, Julia kissed him.
Hadrian stood there not moving an inch aside from returning her kiss as she wrapped her arms around his neck. There was still no words between them as their kissing intensified and she pressed her body into his. He knew all too well that she'd been pregnant and gently placed his good hand on her belly startling her at first, but she began to relax due to his touch. Her heart was fluttering and the churning in her belly subsided as Hadrian continued to return her kisses.
Still there were no words as Julia took him via his good hand and lead him upstairs to her bedroom. Articles of their clothing littered the floor on their walk as Hadrian attempted to make sure that she truly wanted this from him knowing all too well what Rhett had put her through.
She assured him she was ready, not wishing to give Rhett the satisfaction of being her only experience and insisted they go through with it. Her hormones changing could have been what attributed to her boldness back then, but she was determined to erase the experience with that bastard from her mind.
Hadrian wasn't the same size as Rhett, in fact he'd been a lot bigger below the belt, but he seemed to have a good deal of knowledge about how to please a woman. He never made a move she wasn't comfortable with and made sure she was ready before going forward.

Hadrian had drifted off to sleep, Julia could hear his snoring and seemed to be relieved. Not once did he attempt to move and get out of bed which was a good sign that his sleepwalking days were over at least as far as they knew. She'd been on the verge of sleep as well with the wine getting the better of her and the memories of her betrayal beginning to haunt her once again. Tears once more streamed down her cheeks as Hadrian held her close oblivious to the knowledge of his dear wife's transgressions as he slept.
