The night went like a blur and before anyone knew it, it was morning. Grandpa didn't apologize but he was no longer harsh, the twins didn't bother playing too much so they wouldn't upset their uncle any further.
At breakfast, Paco and Kira were chattering away while playing at their food, Grandpa was seated at the head of the table and chewing his food slowly while Desmond and Samantha played the part of the couple that were so in love with each other so that Grandpa wouldn't suspect a thing.
"Samantha my dear, how are you doing?" Pa broke the silence.
Sam looked at Desmond before looking at Pa. "I'm doing very, Pa."
"That's good… that's good," Pa repeated, taking scrambled eggs from amongst the pile of meals and placing it on his own place. "And how did you sleep? Did you sleep well?"
Sam nodded once. "Yes, Pa, I did sleep well. Thank you for asking."
