The gentle breeze tugged at her flair cream-colored chiffon dress and threatened to dishevel her hair dressed neatly with a black bow as she hurried toward the white and cream building.
Samantha clutched her dress with one hand for safety, while the other hand held a white food box wrapped in a yellow cloth. The food box housed some dishes she had specially made with her own hands for her mother.
She walked into the city's general hospital and headed straight for her mother's ward, sparing a few patients and nurses some greetings.
She arrived at a white wooden door and the hand which once held her dress moved to the doorknob, unlatching it and slowly pushing it open to reveal a bed. Her heart melted and tears threatened to fall from her eyes as she looked at the woman who had a striking resemblance to her, on the bed.
