A chuckle escaped his lips and released a breath, "a date? You want to take me out on a date?"
"Hmmm," Sam humped as she leaned on the chair that she stood by.
"Where is the money? You must have any money to take me out on a date," Desmond retorted. Who gave her such a crazy idea? He could see the wheels turning in her head as he mentioned money to her.
"You're right," she said, with a sudden resolve. "I know that I do not have the money, but since it is my treat, I still think that I can do something about it."
"I see. What made you do this?" Desmond signaled with his hands as he sat on his bed.
"Nothing. This is just my way of apologizing and getting to know the real Desmond Landon behind all this mask," Sam explained. She didn't understand what ideas he was having in his head, but after almost dying the second time, she decided to make use of the time she had in Landon's family.
