Chapter 4 - Chapter 3

Violet looked up as Cameron was leaving the room. He asked if he could kiss her head, and she gave him her consent by nodding. Violet ran to the door as Cameron was about to step into the hall.

"Wait, ah, I see blood makes a vampire feel a sense of lust, along with the victim. I have so much paperwork to do, but I have no choice but to postpone it. How much did she drink?" Cameron thought to himself. "Hehe, only some. Her lips tasted like a fresh blood bath that I smell when I kill for my payments or simply betrayal. Sheesh, I know it sounds harsh, but that is how the world is, even for me."

"A lot of werewolves have an inner wolf to talk to. Mine has not spoken to me for 4 years, but I can always feel him stirring inside me, as if he's coming back to talk. I hope he does. His name is Ivan, and he is my best friend. Many people fear me as I am the mafia wolf king, but I do have a soft heart. I need to make people less scared of me and only be scared when they need to be taught a lesson, but I don't know how. I thought my mate would run the moment she came to meet me, but she looked at me with hunger in her eyes. Even now, as I share sweet love with her, I can see she wants me to stay, but I can't."

"I didn't expect you to wear thongs," Cameron said, breaking the silence. "Yeah, they're more comfortable," Violet replied. "Wow, I guess never judge a book by its cover." "Yeah, I just love the fabric. So comfortable." "Yeah, I love the feeling when you get new underwear from a store, then wear it brand new." "Agreed. I'm tired, dear. Too much blood drinking. Look after her while I finally go to do the paperwork." "Yes, sir. Where are you going now, Cameron? Don't leave me with this guy. What is the problem? He's a wolf." "No, he does not smell like one at all. What do you mean? Are you telling me we have a traitor?" "Cough, this is not blood type A. It is B. Oh, sorry, I guess it got mixed up." "No, you're stuttering," Violet said. She bared her teeth at Dylan. "Could it be you tried to poison me? How dare you insult me?" "I swear, it was a mistake. I would never harm you," Dylan pleaded. "I don't trust you. You've always been suspicious. I will deal with you later." Violet turned her attention back to Cameron. "I'm sorry, Cameron. I don't know who to trust anymore. Someone is after me and my powers, and I won't let them succeed."

Violet's voice trembled with a mix of fear and determination as she spoke, her eyes searching Cameron's for reassurance. Cameron's expression hardened, his protective instincts kicking in.

"I won't let anyone harm you, Violet," he said firmly, his voice laced with conviction. "We'll find out who's behind this and put an end to their plans. No one can take away what is rightfully yours."

Violet nodded, her grip on her powers tightening. "We need to be careful, Cameron. Trust is a precious commodity, and we can't afford to place it in the wrong hands. We must investigate all leads, no matter how small, and stay one step ahead of our enemies they then decide to sleep
