From where she stood now, Hazel could hear the many voices from outside the door. Hazel could hear the sound of her heartbeat rising along with its speed. Her hands started to feel sweaty all of a sudden. She didn't feel like this before but now, she didn't know what was happening. Why the sudden adrenaline? She was fine just a minute ago before she came to stand in front of the door.
"You'll be fine," Celeste said. She could see her clenching and unclenching her fists and sometimes grabbing a handful of her dress. "Act like they are not even there," she said. Though she didn't see a reason why Hazel should be afraid, she tried to understand the girl knowing that not everyone's the same.
"Do you know what is happening to me?" Hazel asked. The feeling was foreign to her. She had never been afraid of a crowd before though she liked her space, she never had stage fright
