Arzaan walked through the huge double doors that were held open by the guards standing outside them. His mind was still crowded by what had happened in Hazel's chambers. What was Duran looking to do with her? What if she had not found a way to protect herself in time before he arrived? All of these unanswered questions crowded his mind but no one could answer them.
He left her alone only when he was told everyone whom he wanted to see had gathered and were waiting for his presence. He left after making sure she was moved into his chambers, not wanting to take any more chances. Leaving her there was a risk he didn't want to take. If Duran could enter there two times already, it wouldn't be a surprise if he made it in the third time.
He walked to his seat at the front while everyone stood up with their heads bowed, "Your Majesty," they chorused.
