Chapter 29 - Hostility

The bell for the last class of the morning rang. Si Yu hurriedly entered the classroom at the last second.

The foreign teacher on the podium frowned unhappily. He pointed at the watch on his wrist and asked, "What time is it now? Why are you so late?"

The students below all gloated happily as they waited to watch the show.

They had long heard that Si Yu had the principal's back and had driven out two of her roommates.

However, this foreign teacher, Jason, was famous for being strict. He showed no mercy when he lectured his students. He wouldn't care even if the director of the education Bureau was here, let alone the principal.

The long and noisy ringing of the bell finally quieted down. Si Yu looked at the teacher respectfully and explained the reason for her late arrival in fluent English.

"I'm sorry, teacher. I wasn't feeling well this morning, so I asked for leave from the tutor." She held up the note with both hands and handed it to the lecturer.

Jason knew a little Chinese, and seeing that the tutor's signature was indeed on it, the seriousness on his face dissipated a little and was replaced with a caring smile. You're worthy of praise for coming to class despite being unwell. Your speaking skills are very good. If you need to go on stage to give a speech in the future, I will arrange it for you."

"Thank you, sir." Si Yu nodded with a smile and walked back to her seat under the shocked gazes of the surrounding students.

Chu Yuan didn't see the scene she had expected and frowned slightly. She appeared unconcerned about Si Yu's little episode, but in reality, she had been watching on from the corner of her eye.

From the moment Si Yu dared to publicly confront Jiang Xiao and Lin Yiqian, she had a vague feeling that Si Yu had really changed.

If it were in the past, she would stammer and would be unable to speak after being glared at by Jason with her little courage. How could she still converse in such fluent English?

She narrowed her eyes. Her intuition told her that Si Yu would be the biggest obstacle to her plan.

Jason had been patiently waiting for Si Yu to return to his seat before starting the class.

His attitude towards Si Yu had obviously changed a lot. He didn't expect that there would be a student in the class who could speak so fluently, and he was very pleased to see her sitting at the table without any shame.

Then, he shifted his gaze slightly and saw the calm and elegant class representative at the side. He encouraged her, "Chu Yuan, you should communicate more with Si Yu in English in the future. You still need to improve your speaking, and you may ask Si Yu for advice. As the class representative, you have to work harder."

Chu Yuan's heart burned with anger, and her face instantly turned red. However, she forced herself to calm down and nodded. "Alright. I'll learn from Si Yu."

The more Chu Yuan hated Si Yu, the more indignant she was, and the brighter her smile became.

Her intuition was right. Si Yu... Why should she learn from her?

Chu Yuan subconsciously glanced at Si Yu's slender fingers from the corner of her eyes, and a sinister look flashed across her eyes.

A month later, she would show her how powerful she was.

Si Yu didn't have such thoughts.

This morning, Kun You had clearly woken up early, but he didn't wake her. Instead, he hugged her and went back to sleep.

After she woke up, Kun You hugged her and kissed her for a long time. In the end, she realized that she had to go to university, and she was late for an entire class. She happened to be just in time for teacher Jason's class.

Fortunately, Kun You acted quickly and helped her apply for leave. Otherwise, Jason would not have let her off so easily.

Si Yu, who had just survived a disaster, heaved a sigh of relief. When she turned his head, she met Chu Yuan's red and resentful eyes.

She frowned and returned a harmless smile, but her eyes were cold.

This woman had targeted her for no reason in her previous life. For some reason, Chu Yuan had always been hostile to her, while she only knew how to stupidly chase after Yang Lin. Even when she had suffered a loss, she endured it nevertheless.

He thought of his fractured hands in his previous life ...

That heart-wrenching pain tormented her for more than half a year, and it was all thanks to Chu Yuan.

A strong hatred suddenly arose from the bottom of her heart, bringing with it a bone-chilling coldness that chilled her entire body.

The corners of Si Yu's mouth suddenly curled into a sinister smile. Her eyes glowed with a cold light, and even the students sitting beside her subconsciously shrank back.

It was time for Chu Yuan to make a move.
