Chapter 33 - Drama

After school the next day, Chu Yuan led Si Yu to the drama club.

The club was located on the fifth floor of the conference building, next to the largest indoor stage in the school.

When Chu Yuan arrived, the people from the drama club were sorting out the props. The theme of this scene was the revenge of the female lead.

The role had already been decided long ago, but the girl who played the villain suddenly said that she didn't want to play the role. This made the president very anxious.

The script and costumes had already been decided. Now, they only needed to rehearse before their performance at the school's anniversary celebration next week. They had been prepared for it, but the girl's sudden withdrawal had disrupted the entire arrangement.

It was Chu Yuan who took the initiative to step forward and say that she might have a way.

The president knew that she had a wide network of people, so he entrusted this matter to her.

To his surprise, Chu Yuan really brought someone over today, and she was a beautiful woman with delicate features.

The president walked over happily. Yuanyuan, is this the actress you found at the last minute?"

Chu Yuan replied, "Yes, she's my classmate. President, do you think she'll be okay?"

The president roughly sized Si Yu up. She was indeed one of the most beautiful in the entire school. Not only was her face exquisite and pretty, but even her figure was captivating and well-proportioned.

He pretended to look at Chu Yuan casually. In the past, he had thought that Chu Yuan was responsible for the appearance of the club, but if this person joined, then Chu Yuan would seem to be a little lacking.

Chu Yuan had been staring at him the whole time, so she could read his mind.

She secretly gritted her teeth and heaved a sigh of relief. It didn't matter. As long as her plan went smoothly, she would be able to get rid of this obstacle.

The president was in love with her. He smiled and politely extended his hand. "Hello, I'm Zou Kai, the president of the drama club."

Si Yu shook her hand politely and quickly let go. "Hello. I'm Si Yu."

"Si Yu?" The members of the club rushed over. "Isn't she the one who made the news about chasing out her roommates two days ago during the summer break?"

The president frowned, feeling a little dissatisfied. Their club had always been harmonious, which was why it had been able to run for so many years. However, Si Yu was clearly a troublemaker. Was such a person really suitable to stay?

"Yes, it's me," Si Yu admitted generously. "But they all deserve it."

The club members were silent for a moment. They didn't expect her to respond so generously, and all their gloating thoughts were instantly put away.

A tall and thin student scratched his head in embarrassment. He was the first to recognize Si Yu. "Sorry, I didn't mean it that way."

"I understand." Si Yu raised her brows, her eyes sweeping over everyone present.

The drama club had many members, but only a few could really perform on stage. The ones who stood in front of her were the most outstanding actors in the club.

Si Yu noticed that one of the girl's eyes flickered when she looked at him. There was also a hint of fear in her eyes that was hard to detect.

She pretended not to see it and greeted each and every one of them warmly. "Hello, everyone. You already know my name, so I won't introduce myself. How should I address you?"

"My name is Liu Heng," the tall and thin male student replied quickly.

The other people turned their heads away in disdain. Only after President Zou Kai glared at them did they unwillingly report their names.

When it was the girl's turn, she subconsciously gulped and suddenly clenched the prop in her hand, and in a voice as soft as a mosquito's, she said, "My name is Mo Qi."

Si Yu nodded and walked over to her with great interest. He pulled out the hemp rope prop from her hand. "Are you in charge of the props?"

"Yes, I am." Mo Qi reached out and nervously tried to snatch the rope back, but Si Yu was one step ahead and grabbed it, flipping it over.

"Si Yu, Mo Qi has always been timid. She's not used to talking to strangers. Stop teasing her." Chu Yuan walked over considerately, took the hemp rope, and put it back in Mo Qi's hand.

Si Yu might have been mistaken, but the moment Chu Yuan touched Mo Qi, Mo Qi trembled slightly as if afraid of Chu Yuan.

Si Yu smiled. "I'm sorry. I hope we can all get along."

The president was relieved when he heard her say that. Initially, when Si Yu walked toward Mo Qi, he thought that Si Yu would deliberately stir up trouble. Now, it seemed like he had been overthinking.

He smiled and clapped his hands. "Then, let's pack up a little and start the first round of rehearsal."
