I watched and I listened to every single fucking thing my little mate was doing these past 2 days. I still had to rip Mateo a new asshole for not stopping Magnus from letting her outside.
Out of all the things I've witnessed over these days being trapped in my own mind, this one took the fucking cake!
Not her bonding with Magnus, not her wolf bonding with Magnus, not her building this relationship with my fucking wolf, nope it was this moment. This moment right here.
Watching Kaori fight my warriors had pissed me off to new levels. She was taking things way too far in my pack. My little mate apparently thought it was a good idea to defend one of the omegas, who I didn't know was Emilee's brother until she mentioned it.
My warriors had good reason to be punishing the omega boy, I'm sure. He had to have done something bad enough for them to want to show him such harsh consequences for his actions, but my little Beta wolf just had to step in.
She took control of the whole fucking situation and I was fighting Magnus for control the whole damn time.
Kaori was kicking my warriors asses, I'm not totally surprised seeing how she put me on mine, but there were 3 of them and one of her, there was no reason that they should have been losing the way they were.
Her attack was brutal, calculated and skilled. Watching them, I could see just how uncoordinated my warriors were when it came to fighting a wolf with pristine skill. We clearly lacked skill, but succeeded in speed and strength.
Well except for right now, with Leo, Titus and Paul getting pummeled the way they were by one fucking shewolf. ONE!
I don't know what gotten into her, but she wasn't giving up and barely breaking a damn sweat successfully taking on 3 of my warriors.
I never gave up fighting for control, never. Not once. I knew I had to gain control back, to shove Magnus back and get this shit under control before my pack starts questioning my leadership.
What kind of Alpha would I be to have my wolf out in the open and allow my pack members to be attacked by a shewolf that isn't one of their own.
A weak one, that's what I would be.
After what seemed like hours of fighting through the darkness and recesses of my own mind, I was able to grab onto a sliver of control. Magnus felt it and tried to push me back even further, but I kept hold onto that tiny piece of hope I had in my grasp.
Slowly pulling it and bringing my hands further and further to the tip until I could grab hold of enough of it to yank it and bring the veil down that Magnus had put up.
Once that was done, all I had to do was force the shift, which was easy not that the veil was done.
I rushed forward and grabbed Kaori before she finish off Leo and Paul, as Titus was laying on the ground holding his balls.
Once I had my little mate in my arms, I pulled her into me until her back was flush with my chest. Memories of our first time fighting back in her pack flooded my mind. Our position all too familiar.
"Kaori, don't make me punish you out here." I whispered into her ear as I felt the sparks from our bond dance on my skin. Unconsciously, I leaned down and inhaled her intoxicating scent.
She never answered me, so I figured the close proximity of our bodies was affecting her as well. Even though she rejected me, I was sure I still affected her.
"Rhys." She moaned in my grasp.
Fuck..
Did I hear that right?
Did she really just moan my name like that?
That shit was sexy as hell
Why couldn't she do that during our first mating???
"Yes little mate." I answered back, it seemed like the whole atmosphere around us had shifted and all I could focus on was her.
"You've pissed me off to no end and do you know what happens when you keep trying to push someone over the edge?" She asked and I frowned into her hair as I shake my head.
"They get fed up."
That was all I heard before her arms wrapped around my neck and she kicked one of my feet from under me, causing me to buckle then she lunged her body forward and tossed my stupid ass over her shoulder.
I crashed into the ground hard, with an all too familiar sense of what just happened.
The impact caused me to groan.
Rubbing the back of my head, I slowly sit up and look into her eyes and at that moment, I didn't see Kaori.
I don't know who I seen, but it wasn't her and I don't think it was her wolf either.
She rushed towards me and I quickly got to my feet, grabbing one of her arms and turning her around to hold her back flush against my chest again.
"Stop fighting me Kaori... you can't win."
"Maybe not, but that doesn't mean that I'll stop fighting." She said as I felt her foot come up between my legs and connect with my balls.
"Fuck!" I curse, letting her go and clutching my jewels.
I was seeing stars with how hard she was able to kick me, but I was able to see her fist coming towards my face. I reached my hand up to block her, but then she stopped her hand mid way and brought her knee up.
Connecting with my nose, the force knocks me back and I fall to my ass.
"Get her!" I yell at the warriors watching me.
They all rush forward under my command and attempt to grab my little fucking mate, but no matter what they did, she was able to evade their grasp.
Weaving, dodging and working her way through the now 5 warriors around her when I heard multiple different growls. I tear my attention from Kaori to Madison, who was sitting on the ground and Mateo and Jett's wolves were rushing towards my warriors.
"Axel! Lennox!" I call out to my mates wolves as I scramble to my feet, but they don't even spare me a single glance as they rush into the mayhem.
They were tearing my warriors apart, teeth, fur and claws flying everywhere. My warriors screams filled the air.
I ran towards the nonsense, knowing I had to stop this bullshit before it got any worse.
"STAND DOWN!" I command, my aura washing over all the wolves in front of me as they all dropped to their hands and knees, baring their necks to me.
Including Mateo and Jett's wolves and surprisingly, my little mate as well.
I walked over to her before crouching down in front of her. Enjoying the sight of her bending to my will. Beads of sweat were cascading down her forehead and her whole body shook as she tried fighting my command, with no success.
"Submit." I tell her and I smile when she had no choice but to bare her neck to me again.
I reached down to cup her face and force her eyes to mine.
"Little mate, now you've pissed me off."
"Yeah?... well.. you.. fucked up... when.. you let.. me keep.. my phone.. I know.. the laws.. I won't.. spend.. another day.... in that.. room... Alpha." She grit through her clenched teeth as my own jaw tightened from her little confession.
FUCK!
I knew I should have taken her damn phone!
I quickly drop my command and I hear everyone take deep breaths as they fight for the air they were deprived before they all start getting to their feet, slowly.
My gaze stayed on Kaori as she slowly stood up to look up into my eyes.
"How do you know the laws Omega?" I spit at her, trying my best to get under her skin, but all she did was smile.
"That's Beta to you and it wasn't all that hard to find the documents. They're public after all and I do believe you're violating the Mate Bond Act by intentionally causing harm to me.
Whether that be emotional, physical, verbal or mental. The laws also state that I can file an Abuse of Power suit against you with King Kano if the abuse continues." She explained gently placing her hands on her hips. Those beautiful fucking hips of hers.
I stared into her eyes, tongue tied. There were no words that I was able to get out at this moment. She was able to access the laws. How?!
They're only accessible to Alphas. We each get a copy of the law book every year, Mateo and Jett know the laws because I had to keep them informed, but I've never shown that fucking law book to Kaori.
She shouldn't know what laws are in affect or what they mean, much less how to file an abuse of power shit against me!
The only logical explanation was either Mateo or Jett, my own fucking mates betrayed me and sold me out.
Her giggle brought me back to reality as I continued to stare down at her.
"Checkmate Alpha."
