At night, they stay in one room again. Eris would lay over his chest for minutes as they talked. They just continue chatting for a long time until midnight. Eris fell asleep with her arms around him like he was a big pillow. Kaiden on the other hand was under his arm snuggling, maybe thinking that he was his father.
With Eris beside her, he already had thought about it. He won't think twice now.
He gently reached for his phone as he chatted with Johanna. The woman was still awake, probably busy making new babies with her husband. Johanna replied shortly with Connor's face. He frowned as he continued chatting with them.
Gray: I need a ring.
Jo: Oh, wow. That was so fast.
Gray: I am not a woman and yes I had decided to marry her although it will take a long time.
Connor: Wow. Just wow. I fuck Jo first, impregnate her and decided to her marry her. If she didn't get pregnant we will be still fucking friends.
Gray: *sighed* The two of you never get drained.
He put away his phone and patted Kaiden. Next time, he will take Benedict with them. That little boy also loves Eris. But since his big sister was always taking care of him, he couldn't escape her. He slowly turns sideways to Eris and brushes his lips on her hair. Eris's hand carefully moves, caressing his abdomen up to his chest. She shoved her face to his chest and hugged him.
"I smell good?" He asked softly.
"Hmm," She smiled at him.
"I like it when you don't wear perfume."
"Next time, I won't." He whispered.
Gray woke up happy. He wasn't a morning person but with Eris beside him, he's starting to have a motivation to be a morning person. He slipped off of bed letting Eris and Kaiden sleep more as he tucked them in. Her phone was currently vibrating and it didn't wake her up. He reached it but there was a voice recognition lock and her fingerprint. The ID caller was unknown. It must be spam so he just left it.
Without any suspicions, he went on and opened the balcony to set up the table for their breakfast. Later, they have to leave since MJ and Harvey kept calling him asking about their baby boy. He didn't tell them about what Kaiden did to the snake, although the snake wasn't venomous. The boy can't be friends with any animals. Not to mention that Benedict did the same and he mimicked Benedict a few days ago.
Eris suddenly sat up as she used her hand to search for her vibrating phone. Once she reached it, she answered it and waited.
"I'm doing fine. I'll be home soon."
Gray listened to her talking to someone over the phone.
"Okay," She hung up as she sat and stayed for a few seconds. He strode toward her.
"Bathroom?" He asked.
"Yes, please."
He helped her up and since she wasn't familiar with the house, he helped her to the bathroom. He stayed outside and once she was done, she reached for him. He helped her up and kissed her cheeks.
"No kissy!" Kaiden suddenly exclaimed as Gray glared at him.
"Good morning, Kaiden." She smiled.
"Kissy~kissy please." He acted innocent and cute. Gray sneered at him.
In the afternoon, they decided to leave after Gray harvested fruits with Eris. He dropped off Kaiden first and then he took Eris to her hotel room. He took her inside as she smiled and walked casually without her walking stick like she's been living here for a while now. Gray looked around and checked the balcony if it was close. It should always be closed.
"Are you sure that you want to stay here tonight?" Gray asked.
"Yeah, let's just meet tomorrow?" She smiled as she stood in the middle of the hotel room. She felt his every move around. He checked the bathroom and moved the stool from the way.
"I moved this stool beside the dresser."
"Okay,"
He sighed, feeling frustrated as he looked at the room. He shook his head.
"I'm staying here tonight." He told her. Her eyes widened as she shook her head.
"No. Gray…" She shook her head. "You don't have to. You are making me uncomfortable with your sudden decisions."
"I'm sorry." He quickly apologized as he approached her and kissed her cheeks. "You should have my phone number. I will call you."
She took out her phone from her purse and she used her voice to open the dial so he could save his number.
"I put my contact here as Gray."
"Okay,"
He rang his phone to get her number. Then, he reached for her hand and placed it there.
"How about food? I will buy something for you."
"Gray, I can do it." She said softly.
"This is frustrating." He mumbled.
She giggled suddenly as she strode to the bed and placed her purse and phone with her walking stick in there. Then, she raised her hand to touch Gray. He led it to his hand as he gently squeezed it.
"Eris, you are already driving me crazy."
"I can take care of myself." She raised her right hand to reach his face as he used his other hand to place it over her right hand.
"I know that."
Eris stayed for a minute holding him like that. Then, she decided to pull out her right hand.
"You should leave. I'll meet you tomorrow."
Gray doesn't seem to move at all. He hesitated but he walked to the door.
"Come and put a double lock on your door," Gray said as she walked toward him. "Do not answer any knocks unless you know the person. Okay?"
"Gray, I've been here for two months." She giggled.
Gray nodded his head and finally left.
Eris stays still in front of the door waiting for that knock. The signature knock that Griffin did. It was after a minute when Griffin knocked.
"Eris, it's your big bro."
She unlocked the door and opened it as she turned back and walked to the bed. She sat at the edge of the bed as Griffin closed the door.
"I got you your favorite dinner."
"Where is she?" Eris asked. "Where's Martha and where's my King?" She asked.
"King is doing fine. So is Martha. You shouldn't worry." He put the thermal bag over the table. "I got you some Dairy Queen cake. I know you love this."
Eris still felt uncomfortable with what she was doing but it was the only way. She already missed her golden retriever named King. She missed him dearly because she usually cries at night when she's alone. Griffin visits her constantly and helps her out while he's also preparing for the condo unit that he bought in the Global city for her. It had an elevator and guide tiles for someone with a disability like hers.
Griffin sat beside her and patted her head.
"How's the date?"
"It was fine." She said casually and shortly. Showing that she doesn't want to speak further to protect those children.
"Didn't you see anything unusual from the kids? Most of them are perfect killing machines. And one of them might be a holder of the gem. We need that gem badly in that way, you will be able to see and we will get back our wealth."
Eris didn't say anything for long as she remained calm like usual.
"I will tell you if I got something."
Griffin smiled and hugged her then he kissed her temple.
"That's a good girl. So, how's the date? I heard that he wanted to marry you. Why don't you just grab it and be with him?" He looked at her expression. "He seemed to be a good guy. Also once you are there, you can constantly feed us with the information that we need."
"I doubt that." She mumbled. "I don't want to get married." She gritted her teeth. "I don't like him." She lied just to show him that she's been having fun while deceiving those people. Most of them are innocent but it's the war between their families. She's in a tight situation.
"Learn to like him. He's handsome and he's rich."
Her chest tightens a bit. She wanted to be alone now. She shows how uncomfortable she is with Griffin's convincing words. After a few seconds, he finally stood and he patted her.
"Call me if you need anything. I will be out at a party but I will keep my phone close to me. Okay?"
She nodded her head. She felt Griffin walk away while he was telling her about the ice cream cake on the fridge as well as her dinner. Then, the door closes. She stood as she walked to the door and put the double lock on. Then, she walked to her closet and used her hand to take her pair of silk pajamas. Just when she was about to take a bath, the doorbell rang. Then, she walked to the door and waited for the person.
"Who is it?" She asked.
"It's Gray."
Eris hesitated to open the door but from the voice and tone of the voice, she knew that it was him. She opened it anyway. Gray entered and hugged her.
"I already miss you and I bought dinner."
He noticed the thermal bag from the restaurant.
"Someone bought you dinner?"
"Yes, I told you. I am fine."
"I know. But I miss you." He entered and closed the door. "Can I have a sleepover?"
"Gray," She clenched her fist as she wanted to be alone tonight.
