"How long has he been there?" Someone asked Volt after seeing Andre spend his entire day inside the library. All of them were surprised when Andre, a person that doesn't read anything is now spending time reading books.
"For a while now. He has not even eaten his breakfast." Volt replied and pointed at the cold soup. His sudden change of behavior is greatly influenced when they saw William that day and the news of the Towers seeking him made Andre even more shocked.
"A Void Mage making most of the mages in all the towers jealous. Isn't that unbelievable? First of all, he should be the one envying us not the other way around. Andre is just overreacting." The mage said.
Volt wants to reprimand the mage but it was their senior, and there is nothing good coming out of being on a senior's bad side. Volt just doesn't see any benefit from it.
"This idiot, does he think the rumors were exaggerated? Even so, with all the Towers looking for him, that would be more than enough proof for that claim. Idiot, he is a complete idiot " Volt said to himself.
"Be careful of what you are saying. If the Tower Master heard that, he would have probably burned you to a crisp." Frezo, the senior that Andre lost to said with a cold tone. The senior immediately cowered down as if he saw god for a moment and kept his gaze on the floor. "I'm sorry. I will not do it again."
He acted like a dog in front of his master, that's what it looked like to Volt's eyes. There was nothing else that can describe the situation. "You- as a disciple of the same Tower Master, you should have rebuked him. You are guilty of the same crime."
Volt is astonished. He did not expect to be dragged into that mess yet he cannot defend himself knowing the identity of the person he is up against. "I apologize, senior. I will not overlook such behavior next time." Volt said calmly.
"I will overlook this for now so next time be careful. Is he still there?" Frezo points at the library and Volt nods his head realizing that he meant Andre.
"That's a good mindset. He has the capability to grow. Remind him to eat his meals otherwise I'd slam his head to the plate if that will be enough to make him eat. Every model of their peers should be exceptionally healthy, and that's not how he is now." He briefly glanced at the library and then left along with his subordinates.
The senior also left after Frezo spared them, leaving Volt alone. "That guy sees that William guy as a rival even before he got that weird magic. But now that he has that, I wonder if Andre feels left behind?" Volt thought to himself.
"How in the world did that guy do it?" Andre thought to himself while looking at the countless books that he had already finished reading but none of them has the answer to the questions that he have.
Andre spent his life inside the library after seeing William who was known as a genius. He asked other people in the town and they all answered the same thing, 'William always read a book' the very thing that Andre had not done in the past. Unbeknownst to him, William read all those books to understand the world and have a basic understanding of magic.
"None of this makes sense at all." He muttered to himself. A fellow disciple saw him and wondered what he was reading, a smile on her face appeared when she realized that he was reading a book about spells.
"You are not going to learn anything from that." She mumbled quietly to herself but it was loud enough for Andre to hear, it was intentional.
"What are you looking at?" Andre asked aggressively. His voice sounded hoarse which shows how dehydrated he is for not drinking nor eating anything before going to the library. She could not help but giggle, annoying Andre even more.
"Leave, there is something that I'm trying to learn. So be a good girl and leave." Andre added. Though it pissed him that she giggled after hearing his voice, he cannot waste any more time on unnecessary things if he wants to go catch up to William.
Though Andre had told her to leave, she remained standing and staring at him. "What the fuck is wrong with this girl?!" Andre is almost about to burst into anger but since they are inside the library, even he cannot let out a loud voice.
"P-L-E-A-S-E L-E-A-V-E M-E A-L-O-N-E." Andre politely said with his mouth closed. It's impressive. The fact that Andre can hold off his anger is something that he developed while staying inside the library with all the other disciples talking bad at him even.
"You're that Andre guy, right?" Andre just looked at her without answering. He is too lazy to even do that. "Now I get it. No wonder you are busy reading all these books. You want to get as strong as possible and you think that Void Mage's method can be found here."
She just made an entire summary of what Andre planned to do. Andre is even surprised that she knew that much. "Please just leave, I don't want any trouble. You are wasting my precious time reading." Andre insisted but she doesn't care and Andre went back to reading.
Unsatisfied, she sat in front of Andre and the latter did everything he can to get her out of his mind while she sits there across the table with a huge smile on her face and bobbing her head.
"This girl is asking to die- she is really asking for it." A vein popped out of Andre's forehead as he continues to struggle to control himself. "Calm down Andre, you got this. You just need to calm down and nothing bad will happen-"
"You're not going to find anything that you are looking for in these books." she cut in his thoughts. This time, Andre had it and immediately broke his pen for taking notes.
CRACK!
"YOU BITCH, I WAS HOLDING MYSELF BACK BUT YOU ARE REALLY ASKING FOR IT, HUH!? DO YOU TAKE ME FOR A PUSHOVER BECAUSE OF THE THINGS THAT YOU HEARD ABOUT ME?! " Andre's voices echoed throughout the entire library with all the disciples' heads turned in his direction.
"I just told you that you will never find the things that you are looking for here." She said meekly.
"Shit." Andre ended up getting kicked out of the library along with her. "Great! Just great! How in the world am I going to learn now?!" Andre lost his cool and begins stomping his feet on the floor in disappointment.
STOMP! STOMP! STOMP!
"Look at this idiot. Did he really think he can find what he was looking for in those books? Books that were made by Prime Mages? Is he serious?" she cannot help but shake her head and left
Before she can take a few steps away, Andre grabbed her shoulder. "Where do you think you are going, bitch? Weren't you the one responsible for this?!" Andre's brows twitch in anger.
"Seriously, he is an idiot." She tells herself.
