Amidst the confusion and chaos that William had started after revealing to everyone about his unique transformation magic, most of the influential people and Tower Masters sent their ambassadors to the town to hopefully recruit him.
William is the first Void Mage to have caused such chaos in history.
Sadly all of them returned empty-handed. No one knew about his whereabouts so they have to search for him without any hint of a clue as to where he went.
"Looks like there are a lot of people that have come to try and recruit that brat," Flam said after seeing all the fancy carriages move out of the town in an arranged fashion.
A smile appeared on his face when he gets a wind of the situation. He felt relieved that none of them are able to grab William.
But the question remains, 'Where is he?'
After William participated in the test, he left without any word. No one even saw him return to their house. All of them had assumed that he has already brought out all of the things that he needed before joining the test and went to get it somewhere and left.
"It's still a waste. He is the one that set a standard of the test for mages, a Void Mage is able to do something like that despite his shortcomings, and now he has unique transformation magic, he is far more valuable than ever. Too valuable that even the king might not be able to look away." He talked to himself.
Atlas who is also inside the carriage looked relieved. He did not get to cross to the other side of the river where his ancestors were waiting for him as he thought.
He saw Flam's reaction, it was not a joke. A Tower Master throwing up rage is as dangerous as the threat of magical beast wreaking havoc.
Some Tower Masters in the past have reportedly burned down an entire mountain in a fit of rage. Atlas has already expected the worst that day. Fortunately enough, his master is able to remain calm.
"Tower Master, will everything be alright? That might be what's going around but don't you think that's what they want everyone else to think?" he suggested.
"There is a possibility for that but at the same time, there isn't. We are the closest institute to this town. They cannot possibly outrun your quick thinking, Atlas. I am highly confident that William, that brat is not taken by other Towers." Tower Master Flam responded while continue looking out through the window.
"Why are you so sure, Tower Master?" Atlas asked out of curiosity. "What? Are you not aware of it?" Tower Master Flam then points out to all the carriages. "They all came from the other towers, while some of them are from noble family crests, I can tell what institute they belong to. Especially that one." Flam smiles as he looks at the simple-looking carriage.
He knew where it belongs to.
"The Royal family." He thought to himself. He could not help but chuckle at the situation.
The royal family tends to gather all the talented individuals toward them, adding them to their already monster-filled ranks.
"They are greedy, just as I expected."
Just as he said this to himself, the carriage stopped abruptly.
"What is going on? Why did the carriage sto-!" Atlas' eyes widened when he was about to scold the coacher but fell silent all of the sudden, he turned pale.
"Don't raise your voice, Atlas. That is for the better. I will take care of it." Flam said as he opens the door of the carriage. "Stinking old geezer, so you decided to show up personally as well?"
He climbs down from the carriage and is immediately faced with a cold stare. "I knew you like doing stuff like this but to think that you'd actually do something like this when you might lose the chance to recruit that brat." Flam initiated.
"You rude brat, is that how you greet your senior?" an old man wearing a yellow robe asked menacingly. "Ha! Senior my ass! A good senior wouldn't go to his junior's backyard to steal some apples. Don't you think?"
At Flam's response, the old man sneered. "This impertinent bastard. You really are a thug after all. Is that how you speak to mages similar to your level? How rude!"
"That's how I speak to old farts that stop my carriage for no reason!"
Their voice alone is enough to bother all the people around them. They are on each other's throats. Atlas could only watch from a distance. He knew that there is no place for a puppy in a dog's fight.
"I really am going to meet my ancestors after all." The Tower Masters are not aware of the uneasiness that is affecting the people around them.
Their bickering only stopped when the simple-looking carriage stopped between them, they both realized the person climbing down the carriage and bowed.
"We greet the royal prince." They both said at the same time.
"Please refrain from bickering around such a large crowd. You must have failed to notice the people around you. They are uncomfortable. Even the horses feel the same."
His voice is so soothing that the anger of the Tower Masters disappeared that very instant.
"I apologize, your highness. It's just that I have not met my junior for a long time, and this is my way of greeting him after so long." The Yellow Tower Master responded with a bow.
"This old fart knows his way out with words. Cunning old fox." Flam said to himself, utterly despising his fellow Tower Master. "Please forgive me too, your highness. But I don't feel the same way he does." Flam said with a blank expression.
Making the Yellow Tower Master a weirdo in a sense. The royal prince turned to the Yellow Tower Master and saw his face filled with rage. "They are like children. Even at a late age, they still act like spoiled brats." The prince said to himself.
"Well, if that's that the. I will take my leave. And please, don't act like that whenever you see me in public. My disguise will be exposed. Thankfully there are not many people here. Otherwise, I will have to do something about it." His voice suddenly felt threatening, it was not enough to shake the Tower Masters but it was threatening enough for ordinary people.
"We understand. We apologize."
He left without a word. The prince looked like a plain civilian, and he even went as far as dress and look like a normal citizen of the kingdom.
Flam also walks back to his carriage. Completely disregard the Yellow Tower Master.
"You bastard! How dare you make me look that way in front of the prince?!" Norman, the Yellow Tower Master yelled. Flam just looked at him and tilt his head. "I meant it exactly like I want to."
The Yellow Tower Master lost it. A vein just popped on his forehead.
"I'll kill you, you bastard!"
Meanwhile,
"Huh? I fell asleep?" I thought to myself as I woke up looking at an unfamiliar ceiling. I am certain, it is not my room.
I turned to the right and gazed upon underwear that was left to dry hanging near the window.
I'm no expert at underwear but I know that it belongs to the opposite sex at a single glance.
"Where the hell am I?" I muttered then slowly, and the door opened.
She had beautiful blonde hair. Her eyes were sparkling like gems on the river accompanied by her pale skin and fantastic figure. She is the dream of most men.
But to me, what's more, important is the reason why I am inside a room of such a jaw-dropping young lady.
"It seems like you are finally awake." She said with a smile. "Hi....?" I mumbled out of nowhere.
