Chereads / My Myth System / Chapter 36 - One

Chapter 36 - One

Arthur wasn't too alarmed for himself as he had a massive amount of bloodline energy coursing through him. To Arthur this amount couldn't even equate to the amount of blood a mosquito could take from a normal human, but for the regular students in the academy this effect was almost a guaranteed death sentence. Arthur jumped out of the window of his office, following the trail of the field back to its source.

Fae was yelling bloody murderer as he was sprawled across the ground, he felt like every inch of his body was on fire. He felt waves of bloodline energy from his surroundings drawing into him and attacking his soul. Fae couldn't focus on anything other than the pain he was feeling, he didn't even notice as Ciera's fit frame was quickly losing its muscular tone as all her bloodline energy was being sucked from her body.

***

Above Fae, in a room of Dorm A, a student opened his eyes with an alert expression. As he began to feel his bloodline energy drained his eyes narrowed and his face gained a serious expression. "That's troublesome." He told himself as his body morphed into a bright blue streak and shot down the stairs towards Fae.

"E- Effy.... stop thi...." Ciera tried to speak as she was quickly losing the strength to even do that. It seemed like Ciera would truly lose her life here for just trying to help. Suddenly the field disappeared and everything went back to normal. Ciera used the last of her strength to look up and see a strong back in front of her, a hoodie covering it, a hoodie with the number one printed across it.

As a smile of relief crossed Ciera's face, she passed out.

"I really hate waking up early." number one said as he cracked his neck and streched. He had come down and knocked Fae out, figuring it'd be the easiest way to end this entire spiritual field fiasco.

He grabbed Ciera and brought her back up to her room placing her in bed, she figured since she was the closest to Fae that she'd been through the worst of it. He than walked backed down the stairs and looked at Fae's limp body. "Seems he'll be out for awhile, I better wake him up."

"What did you think would happen?" Crimson spoke as he materialized into the darkness Fae was currently stuck in. "What do you mean?" Fae asked as he rubbed his neck, this did nothing to help the pain his real body was feeling but he did it on instinct. "I mean you tried to mix your soul into your bloodline, have you learned nothing about your abilities so far?" Crimson looked disappointed as he voiced his concern.

"I didn't think my own bloodline energy would try and consume my soul." Fae figured if there was one thing his bloodline energy would be docile for, it'd be his own soul. Crimson seemed to ponder on what to say for awhile before he finally spoke. "You devour Fae, it's how you survive, its how you grow. There's no way around that, you don't get to do things the same way other people do."

"So I don't get to use my spiritual field?" Fae was disheartened and felt like he'd never be able to reach the heights that others could if he couldn't even do something like that.

Crimson almost laughed at hearing this. "Of course you do Fae, a spiritual field is fundamental if you ever hope to be anything in this world."

"But if I can't use my spirit as a medium, what am I supposed to do? How can I make my own spiritual field?"

"That's easy." A smirk appeared across Crimsons face, his red glow burning even brighter. "You devour someone else's."

As soon as Crimson finished speaking Fae was jolted awake as he felt his entire body being shocked by lightning. He once again felt like he was on fire and could feel as all the hairs on his body stood on edge. "You're finally awake." A voice sounded causing him to focus and realize this was the man who was just shocking him.

"Welcome back to the land of the living, you were really enjoying that nap there huh."

Fae tried to hold in the anger he was feeling, Crimson's words had already done a number on him, and this guy's taunting would only make it worse.

"Who the hell are you." Fae spoke coldly looking at him up and down. Everything about this guy screamed slacker. He stood at around 5'9 his height being affected by his terrible posture, his purple hair was a tangled and unkept mess, and his body was covered by a loose fitting hoodie and sweatpants. Yet Fae knew he couldn't underestimate him, he had a certain fire in his eyes, like everything would always go according to his plan.

He looked at Fae with a smile before answering. "I think you'd better worry about the commotion you just caused." He said as he pointed to the door of the dorm, the knob turning shortly after. The last thing Fae saw as he turned around and blinked out of Fae's view was the number one painted boldly across the back of his hoodie.

The door shot open as one left. Arthur shooting into the room. "What the hell is going on in here?" Arthur spoke forcefully. 'Oh no.' Fae thought to himself wondering how he'd get out of this one.
