Fae was reeling in excitement, he felt as if some new branch of energy was at his fingertips. The euphoric feeling of ranking up was something to die for. He felt as his energy reached a cap and exploded throughout his body, expanding his soul and allowing more bloodline energy to exist.
'I wonder if this effected my stats' "Stat Window." Fae called with excitement and energy in his voice
{Stats}
Strength: 20
Agility: 20
Intelligence: 15
Health: 15
Mind: 10
Stat points: 0
'Wow everything went up by 5, in total the increase is worth 5 levels.' Fae realized if he continued to train his Mythic rank on top of leveling up than his stats would quickly reach new heights.
"Will I gain the same increase every time my Mythic Rank increases?" Fae asked the system. {Within the Human realm all increases between levels will be the same, beyond that the power difference with each level begins to increase.} This made a lot of sense to him as the difference between a Human Rank 1 and a Human Rank 2 was vastly different between a Spirit Rank 1 and a Spirit Rank 2.
Fae got lost in his thoughts until he suddenly realized how close to noon it had become. "Oh no" he whispered to himself as he began to sprint towards Levings Academy.

"Are all the preparations set?" The principal of Levings Academy asked in the same meeting room he had destroyed the table in. "Yes Arthur, cheers to another prosperous year." One of the teachers said to him with a smile. Arthur loved this academy, he had been principal their for as long as anyone could remember and he truly put his heart and soul into it. He wanted Levings Academy to be a symbol of hope, to show people anyone can become something.
Arthur began to walk towards the instructors room where all those who would be judging the entrance exam were gathered. When he walked in the once chatty room became silent, Arthur may not be the most powerful man in the room but because of his success in running the Academy he was always met with respect, especially by nobles who wished to stay in his good graces, but when Arthur spoke it was news none of those nobles wanted to hear.
"I've decided this year everyone will be required to participate in this years entrance exam." Once Arthur said this the room exploded, for years the children of royals would be allowed into the school without a need to partake in the entrance exam, they simply needed to pay a higher entrance fee.
"You must be joking Arthur, you expect me to allow my son to mix with those... hooligans?" A man wearing a blue suit on asked aloud. "I expect your son to earn his spot just like everyone else." Arthur said as he began to turn around and walk out the door, before turning his head a bit to the side and finishing "Oh yea the exam begins in 30 minutes, might want to go prepare your kids." As soon as Arthur left the room all the voices in it exploded. "That old man is crazy." One voice said "Does he have no respect for us nobles?" another added on "Maybe it's time we put a new principal into place." Everyone in the room was teeming with anger, how could they allow their noble children to mix with filthy commoners.
Even from outside the room Arthur could still hear everything the nobles were saying and was trying his best not to laugh. For too long the nobles had attempted to overtake this academy and Arthur wouldn't stand for it. It wasn't always this way, there was a time when even nobles had to fight for a spot at this lovely school, but nobles couldn't handle it when their children were beaten out for spots by 'commoners' and decided to push back, until the King himself had to step in and tell Arthur to make it this way.
"This year my academy will only be for those who deserve it." Arthur whispered, a small smile creeping onto his face.
After about 30 minutes the opening speech for the entrance exam was finally starting.
"Greetings residents of Levings." Arthur started the speech, silencing the entire crowd. "It's time for our annual entrance exam, looking out at this crowd I see plenty of faces, some familiar, some not so much. I'm delighted to have such a big turn out there are over 50,000 participants, but only 1000 of you will be allowed into the 1st year class of Levings Academy. All the students here have one thing in common, DETERMINATION! The determination to achieve your dreams, I mean, this is the City of Dreams isn't it? You're all dreamers aren't you?" As Arthur said this the common people in the crowd erupted, completely mesmerized by his words, meanwhile the nobles seemed bored and upset they even had to be here.
"I'm going to keep it short, there's three stages to this exam. Stage one is an intelligence test that will test not only your basic knowledge but your general IQ, stage two is team capture the flag, and finally stage 3 will be a 1-on-1 tournament." Arthur said, the test didn't change too much year to year so this was nothing anyone was too surprised on.
"All of you are capable students with bright futures, so carry on and do your best. Dream on!" As Arthur finished the speech the crowd cheered in excitement as wind based Mythics lifted confetti into the air and began swirling it throughout the crowd.
"Everyone head to the registration center and it'll tell you where your testing area is." With that everyone was dismissed and the giant crowd thinned and vanished. Arthur stared at the now empty open area with a smile. He had a feeling things at his school may finally change for the better. Suddenly he heard a voice calling out to him.
"WAIT, DON'T CLOSE IT YET I'M ALMOST THERE!" He watched as a kid ran towards the gate and screamed at him, begging him not to close the gate. "I'm sorry kid you're late, the exam is about to begin." Arthur sad with a sad expression. It always sucked to keep kids out like this, but rules were rules.
"Please sir, allow me in I have the registration money and all." The kid tried to plead with Arthur. "I'm sorry, I can't." As Arthur said this and turned around the kid wore a sad expression as he stared down at the ground. As Arthur walked away the kid let out a barely audible whisper, but Arthur's senses had been increased because of his high Mythic Rank and he could easily tell what the kid said.
"I'm sorry Red, guess I couldn't make it in time." When Arthur heard this his eyes shot wide open. He immediately turned around and grabbed the kid. "What's your name kid?" "Effy." The kid replied with a fearful expression. "You know what Effy you seem determined, give me the registration fee and rush off to room E21, that'll be your testing location." As soon as Fae heard this he took the gold out of his pocket to hand it to the man and ran off to find his testing room.
"So that's the kid you were talking about Red? Maybe I was right about things changing this year." Arthur whispered with a wide smile.
