"What is a system level up?" Fae asked as he stared at the systems messages with a dazed expression.
{A system level up is an upgrade to the power of the system, this leads you to gain more options through the system.}
"Options like what?" Fae asked aloud with a confused expression. {One example is access to the system's Item shop, Host will be able to construct and purchase unique and useful weapons and gadgets to assist the host.} A smile dawned across Fae's face as he heard this, the system really did seem to be all powerful.
"Is there any downsides?" Fae asked, as things seemed to be too good to be true. {Host will be unable to use the system as the system levels up.} "How long will that take?" Fae asked as his face straightened. {2 hours.}
Fae's face calmed as he heard this, he had assumed the worst, expecting to hear 24 hours or more. "First let me increase my stats" Fae said as his stat window popped up.

As Fae stared at his 25 stat points he got a hungry look on his face, to his understanding so far this system allowed him to go toe-to-toe with bloodline users, even if only the weaker ones.
If Fae were to think of this like some online RPG game from the older days, before bloodlines awakened, he had a pretty good grasp on what his stats were supposed to represent. Thankfully Fae had always been interested in history and knew a lot about those games of the past, which to most people were lost to time.
"So strength must be my attack power, I can feel a new strength I never had before. Agility seems to be my speed, although it isn't too high I'm definitely faster than I was before. Intelligence? If there's a mind stat I don't get what intelligence would be for?" Fae began to assess what each stat must mean in depth, pausing to ask the system a question at intelligence.
{Intelligence is a direct measure of your intelligence, your ability to plan, assess situations, remember details, and effectively use your abilities. Your intelligence stat also directly ties into your mental fortitude, the higher it is the better you can defend from mental attacks, illusions, and mind control.}
As the system explained it Fae had a surprised look on his face, intelligence really was an important stat especially for the latter part of it. "Health must be the amount of health I have and the strength of blows I can take. Leaving mind, I assume it's a measure of "MP" and how many moves and abilities I can use before I tire out?" {Correct.}
Fae took a second to ponder about how he should arrange his stats. After a minute or so he looked up with conviction. "Place 1 point into strength, 7 points into agility, 5 points into intelligence, 8 points into health, and 4 into mind."

Fae was startled as he read his status "Level 10 is my max level?" He asked the system with alarm. {Current system can only take you this far, must level up system to increase your max." Fae calmed down as he heard this, he was already going to increase the system so this was too birds with one stone. At this point Fae felt on top of the world, in the past 24 hours his entire world had changed. He was stronger than ever, and no longer felt as pitiful as he was before.
"System begin your upgrade." Fae called as he began to walk towards the closest town he knew. {Good luck Host, see you in 2 hours.}
Fae looked around taking a deep breath of air. For the first time since he came back he felt free, he didn't need to worry about anything. "Town of Levings, here I come"
