COPY NINJA
Takumi village, Arena.
A battle between two genins were ongoing on the stage. The fight between the two was an eye opener for Ranmaru and he learned a lot while watching them even though they were only genins.
This is the first time for Ranmaru witnessing a fight between true shinobis, so he watched it with seriousness. The taijutsu of the two were flawed and too slow for Ranmaru because he was using his dojutsu powers to analyze and learn their fighting techniques.
Although it was flawed, it was already a huge gain for him who doesn't even know a single taijutsu and ninjutsu. While the two are fighting seriously on the stage, every second that passed, with every move that they made was added to Ranmaru's strength.
Ranmaru was like a sponge, absorbing all the knowledge that he had gleamed in this fight and continued to correct and improve it in his head. He was like a supercomputer, evolving every second and continued optimizing itself to become better.
The battle finally came to an end after three minutes of fighting in the ring winning a total knockout. Ranmaru deactivated his yureigan reluctantly, he was still unsatisfied with his gain as it was too short and there was too many flaws. There wasn't even a single ninjutsu used during the fight, both of the genins were probably afraid that they will accidentally kill one another so they avoided ninjutsu and any lethal attacks. He expended one third of his chakra watching the battle. The chakra depletion was quite big because he run it in maximum capacity so as not to miss a single detail.
Fortunately, it was not the last battle of the day, as there were few more upcoming battles starting in a few minutes. Ranmaru reviewed the previous battle in his mind and came up with new solutions on how to evade or counter the moves perfectly without wasting extra moves or energy.
Ranmaru was broken out of his thoughts when he heard the announcement of the emcee. The next fight was between two shinobis from the land of fire and the other was from the land of waves, both of them were chunin.
The two arrived on the stage using shunshin. Ranmaru observed closely and analyzed how the technique shunshin worked. A few moments later, he already grasp the technique and only needs some practice.
The two fought fiercely exchanging taijutsu's against each other without holding back. The shinobi from the land of fire gave a kick to the opponents head. The opponent dodged to the side and gave a counter attack by punching his enemy's chest which was blocked by the arms. The two separated and jumped away from each other, they started doing hand signs at the same time and released their jutsu.
"Fire release: flame bullet." "Water release: gunshot."
Both techniques clashed midair and created a steam on the stage covering their vision. Both of them were tense and any movement or sounds alerted them and immediately shot shurikens and kunai in that direction. When the smoke cleared, the shinobi from the land of fire disappeared and arrived fast at the back of his opponent and slashing at the neck with speed. The shinobi from the land of waves had a surprised expression on his face and tried to dodge to the side, but it was already too late. When the kunai touch the neck of the shinobi, the shinobi dissolved in a puddle of water and the real body was above his opponent and gave a powerful kick to his opponent's head.
The battle ended quickly as the shinobi from the land of fire was knocked out cold by the kick. The next battle was not as interesting as the previous, but it also gave some inspirations to Ranmaru. At the end of the show, Ranmaru collected many insights and techniques. He only needs to return to the village and practice in a hidden spot so no one will know.
'I may leave the village soon to explore the shinobi world.' Ranmaru wanted to look at interesting things the world can offer. Once he finish his training and had a complete skill set enough to be a genin or chunins, he will leave the village.
After the matches, Ranmaru walked back to the inn where they stay. He went to sleep after dinner and meditation as he was tired using his dojutsu for a long period of time. There were many techniques and moves that he learned from the fight just from watching, just like the true copy ninja, Kakashi of the sharingan.
Ranmaru learned a few D ranks and C rank techniques like body flicker, some of the C rank element nature transformation, taijutsu moves, shurikenjutsu, and kenjutsu. Which leads to him having a hypoglycemic reaction again because of using too much of his brain power causing it to burn out.
The next day, the three decided for a last tour and after that, they wrap their things up and prepared to return to Katabami Gold Mine village.
"Did you get the things you want Ranmaru?" Grandma Sho asked. Ranmaru looked at her and nodded.
"I went to the arena and watched how shinobis fight and I bought some sweets." He replied to her. He didn't hide it to grandma Sho as she is the one who taught him chakra and knows that he wanted to be a shinobi.
Grandma Sho also asked what her son did the whole day while the two boys were loading the things they bought to the carriage.
"Nothing I just looked around that's all." Karashi hid the fact that he went to a brothel yesterday. Her mother gave her a stink eye as if she knew what he had done while away. Karashi was a little embarrassed with how her mother looked at him so he scratched his head and gave an awkward laugh.
After they were set, they immediately hit the road back to home.
On their way, Karashi sang a tune while driving the carriage and Ranmaru with Grandma Sho sitting together listened.
It was midday, when the sun was at its brightest and no one was around except their carriage. When they were about to pass a mountain valley, the three heard shouts and the sound of horses galloping closer towards them. When they saw the approaching party, their hearts fell as they noticed that the people coming near was wearing rusted armors and swords with messy clothes and dirty faces, it was without a doubt bandits.
Ranmaru was feeling nervous at the sight but he strengthened his determination. He activated his dojutsu and looked at the bandits with his glowing red eyes. Fortunately, there were no shinobis around in their ranks. There were about twenty bandits present with two more at the back, behind a tree using bows and arrows. He had to think fast so he called grandma Sho and Karashi's attention to him, when the two looked at him in question, he cast genjutsu on them and let them sleep. When they wake up later they will think that this was just a dream.
Ranmaru did not want them to see what would happen next as it would be horrifying. He stood up from his seat and jumped off the carriage. He went near the first bandit who arrived and dodged a slash to the left. With his yureigan activated, he can fully see through the attack as it was very slow in his eyes. Ranmaru gave a palm strike to the head activated a technique with one hand sign.
"Sealing art: touch of death."
The seal activated as it rapidly drained the vitality of the bandit. It is estimated that the bandit's life force will be completely siphoned in one and a half breaths under the maximum activation of the skill.
The bandit was unable to move as his body was almost paralyzed from the pain. He saw that the little boy with glowing red eyes that is around his son's age grabbed his head with inhuman strength and dragged him off of his horse while feeling great pain all over his body as if his soul was leaving him at the moment. A few moments later he died and turned into a dried corpse.
Ranmaru dragged the dried up corpse and used it as a shield as two arrows whizzed passing him over the head. He went near to the closest bandit again and attacked with a flying kick to the chest. The bandit was so surprised when he received the kick to his chest as he was sent flying with few broken bones.
Ranmaru threw the corpse to a bandit and it hit two of them at the same time. He dashed to the left and jump to the shoulder of a bandit and twisted the bandit's head to the back with both hands. He jumped off the bandit's shoulder and released a C rank jutsu using one hand to cast.
"Fire release: flame bullet."
Small circular flames flew to the bandits and burned more than five of them in an instant. An arrow flew a few centimeters away from his right shoulder passing him with another arrow deflected by his kunai. Although it looks very dangerous to the normal people's eyes, for Ranmaru, it was still too slow.
Ranmaru landed on his feet and dashed again to the bandits. One of the bandits looked at him in fear and hesitated only for a moment and shouted curses and dashed towards him.
The bandit who hesitated earlier slashed with all his might and cut off the boy's head in one strike, however it turned into a log then appeared on his left side. The bandit was scared but fought back and manage to cut open the boy's stomach and splashing blood on his face. The bandit laughed out loud and was ready to brag when he looked back, his laugh came to a halt.
Ranmaru killed the rest of the bandits that remained at the back. He killed the two archers with kunai at their throats using body flicker to instantly arrive at their backs. When he arrived at the archers back, Ranmaru staggered and almost fell to the ground. Fortunately his body immediately reacted and he slashed at their necks with precision and no waste movements.
The body flicker consumes more stamina than a few minutes of running because of using chakra to temporarily vitalize the body and move at extreme speeds. Fortunately he can absorb vitality from the bandits so he never gets tired.
The remaining bandit was removed from the illusion and saw the last of his team falling down at Ranmaru's feet when he looked back. He was so scared that he did not notice the liquid dripping from his pants. The one the bandit killed was not the boy or his clones but the bandits own teammate, he did not even realize until the last moment when Ranmaru deactivated the Illusion.
The boy came near the last bandit and the bandit slumped to the ground because of fear. The last thing he remembered in this life was the glowing red eyes of the boy.
