Two days later, and our parents had come home from the conference.

First off, they fussed all over me, trying to find out what had happened and why I had tried to commit suicide, but I just stared blankly into space, and so they could do nothing but sigh after seeing that I was unresponsive.

Then, they called for me to be wheeled into Dad's office, along with Cor.

"We have an announcement for you both, and this will also be announced tomorrow morning in the newspapers." Said our father.

"I'm sorry, but we had to do this." Added out mother.

We both knew what was about to happen.

"Corrine, during the conference, we were able to make a deal with the King, and so you will now be married to the Crown Prince once you come of age."

Hearing this, Corrine just grimly nodded, and I could only stare off into space again.

You see, the Crown Prince was someone I hated from the deepest pits of my heart.

After I had killed Cor, I had gone to the royal palace with my happiness in shambles and my mind in a dark place, trying to exterminate the royal family just because I felt like it.

As I beat them all to a pulp, the then King, the Crown Prince right now, had been as petty as to reveal all he had done to my sister.

Like it was nothing, he talked about his exploits whilst chaining my sister to walls and beating her in dungeons under the castle, whilst on a podium in front of his own sisters, and whilst she was done in by an orc in the ass at the same time.

He described her screams, her cries and pleas for help, and her eventual quiet surrendering as she bore his child silently, now confined to the inner castle as he went out and fucked his maids.

Finally, not able to take it anymore, as I listened through his crazy laughs and deranged explanations as a form of torturing my own self for killing her and her son, I could only sentence him to an eternity of torturous pain as I hung him half dead at just the right height over the flames of Purgatory.

Needless to say, I had regretted so much after hearing that, only adding more weight to my burdens, all in the name of giving my daughter a happy life.

I had even started to question why I had done all of this, but by then, I knew it was too late to turn back.

Well, the point that I was trying to get at was that he was someone from my past run through that I would kill again in a heartbeat without even thinking about it.

Anyways, back to the present, I continued to listen on as Dad further explained.

"As for you, Cal, I don't even know if you can hear me, but to establish peace between our two races, the conference has decided to put you in an arranged marriage with the crown princess of the Elven Kingdom, Faye Ellidrius."

"You will move to Svelmar once you come of age and fulfill your duty to our race."

Finally taking a look at my parent's faces, I could only inwardly grimace at the sad and tired look on my dad's face. I could tell that he had fought as hard as he could for me to stay here, but my background made me a perfect sacrifice in the eyes of the other nobles.

As for Cor, I knew it was because the Crown Prince had grown smitten of her the last time we had visited the royal court, and so he had whined to be married to her for weeks, finally causing the King to relent and push for it at the conference.

But now, I was torn.

On one hand, I wanted to go to the royal court with my sister to protect her from any vile things that the Crown Prince might do.

But on the other hand, I wanted to see the person that I eventually fell in love with after enduring so many trials with her.

She was the kindest person I had ever met, a beautiful angel that I thought I would never be able to touch in the entirety of my life.

She had held her hand out to me even when I abused her with words, she protected me when I was brought in front of the Elven King for selling children to slave traders, and she always looked at me in the best light, no matter what I did.

In the end, even when I gave my virginity to my sister in front of her, whereafter I had killed her, that smile on her face had never faltered.

I had cried over her broken body for days after that.

But now, I had a second chance, of course, this was only if my sisters could stop me from committing suicide for the next two years, and only if I was able to make it to the age of 14 after that time period with all those enemies around me.

I just wanted to fall in love with her again.

Thinking of her ever smiling face, I smiled for the second time ever in this world.

Seeing the soft, gentle smile on my face, my parents were silently shocked, but eventually, Cor took the initiative to wheel me out of the room.

I wasn't able to do anything for the rest of the day as I smiled tenderly, stuck in my own thoughts.

...

One Year Later:

Somehow, my sisters had been able to keep me from committing suicide for a whole year.

I had tried "accidentally" running into gunfire, "tripping" over a hole in the ground and hitting my head on a rock, and even "falling asleep" and drowning myself in the bathroom.

Of course, each of these attempts were foiled at the last second, and I was stuck as alive as ever.

But now, there was a change.

You see, two months ago, I had finally started conversing again, almost always whilst absentmindedly looking somewhere else though, as if I was always deep in my thoughts, and that I was just responding as a second, less important afterthought.

So, seeing that my mental capacities were now "good" enough, my parents had hired a tutor to train me.

After all, I was soon going to be sent to another country, one in which I could be a complete foreigner in, and they were worried that I wouldn't be able to protect myself.

So, they had finally decided on hiring one of the best weapon users around.

You see, each race in this world used a different weapon in war.

For humans, as they didn't have any magic power in them, they had come up with an entirely new invention that could contend with the magic of the elves or the merpeople.

The weapon that they had come up with, were guns.

And my tutor was somebody I was extremely familiar with.

After all, she had been my tutor in my past life too.

Her name was Rylvia Black, and she was the final heroine.
