Finishing the week in the forest, I came back out to find only Ms. Rylvia standing there, nodding approvingly at me.
"Did you kill any elves?"
"Of course not, do you think I'm stupid?"
"..."
"Look, I'll kill them for you when I get over there, okay? I'll avenge your brother's death."
"Bold words coming from a 14 year old child."
"They're not bold words if I actually have the capability to fulfill them."
"True... Do you remember the targets?"
"How could I not, you hammered those two names into my head for so long in the past that I almost went crazy."
"Well, you did, but why'd you go crazy in the first place?"
Hearing this, I wondered if I should have told her about my system, but then decided against it.
"Let's just say... I really don't want to talk about it."
"Ok, if that's what you want, my dear disciple."
"Yeah right, I never in my past life would've expect you to say that."
"What? I mean, you weren't a hard ass this time, and we have a certain understanding, don't we?"
If you were wondering what she was talking about, it was basically our unspoken agreement to not get mixed up in the other's business, as, if we truly fought against each other with all our skills, we would probably destroy the world before killing each other at the same time. That was just how evenly matched we were.
At least, that was what she thought.
You see, in reality, I was a little bit weaker than her right now, as I hadn't been able to truly unlock my demonic form yet. That would only be possible once I passed the age of 21.
That was why I planned on spending a peaceful time in the Elven Kingdom, after all, if I was just able to get to the age of 21, then I would be the 3rd strongest in the entire world.
Of course, I wouldn't just sit there doing nothing, I would actually try and do the impossible, meaning, I would try, fail, learn, and practice until I could use magic.
Yes, I would try and do something that was known to be impossible for humans.
Only then would I be able to protect myself from both the protagonist and all the heroines, if they were against me, that is.
And now, you might be wondering why I didn't just go and kill the protagonist right now.
Well, that was because I knew I would fail no matter what, due to his protagonist's halo, so I wouldn't dare try it.
My one and only course of action would be to get all the heroines on my side, and then I would wait until the time of the original storyline passed; it would only be at that moment that the protagonist's halo would no longer be there.
Basically, I would just wait until after the story ended before killing the protagonist.
Yet, I knew that this wasn't the most viable plan as it was too optimistic, knowing the genre of this game, there would definitely be hardships and troubles along the way.
And guess what, my dumb ass just had to jinx itself.
Arriving back at the manor, Master Rylvia pushing me in a wheelchair as the "effects of the potion had worn off", we were met with a long line of carriages, almost as if there was a royal procession in front of our estate.
But then, seeing the douchebag face of the 1st Prince, I knew what was happening today.
They were here to take Cor away.
Rylvia pushed me to the entrance of the mansion, but when the guards of the First Prince saw us, they immediately blocked us from coming through.
"My, my, my, who do we have here?" Asked the Prince, as he looked down on me condescendingly.
He bent down and lifted my chin up, making me stare at him directly in the eyes.
"Guards, get rid of this useless trash. I was supposed to see my beautiful fiancé today, but was met with the absolutely abhorring sight of this vermin. He has stained my beautiful eyes and mind, and that will be punished with death."
I gritted my teeth as I heard his annoying tone of speech once more, that elegant way of speaking mixed with those pedophilic words, it just made my shudder.
Anyways, the guards raised their guns at me, and then pulled the triggers.
But, unfortunately for them, Master Rylvia had been the one with me.
Pulling out her own pistol, a cheap one at that, she shot all of their bullets out of the air.
"Clink, clink, clink, clink, clink, clink, clink!"
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE D..." Yelled the prince, his face red with rage, before finally looking at the person behind my wheelchair and the smoking gun, recognizing her face.
"And what do you think you're doing to my most cherished disciple?" She asked in a calm, cold tone.
"I-I'm s-sorry, Ms. Rylvia." He quickly apologized, bowing his head.
"Don't do it again, or next time, well, I wouldn't look at you as a Prince anymore, just as a target for assassination."
"Gulp." There was an audible gulp that came from the Prince as we passed by him, my wheelchair creating a crack through the guards' formation around the Prince.
As Ms. Rylvia wheeled me into the manor, I could literally feel the Prince's gaze on the side of my head, burning a hole in it as he stared at me with eyes full of hatred, bitterness, and coveting.
After all, I was pretty sure that he had been the one that was supposed to have been taught by Ms. Rylvia, if only I hadn't caught her eye beforehand by being the fiancé of the princess of the Elves.
But now, I was getting worried for my sister, for the fact that he might take all of his frustrations with me out on her.
Shaking my head after thinking about this, I remembered the one thing that I had forgotten, my sister was strong this time around.
She had already awakened partial transformation, so she would definitely be able to hold her own against that damn prince.
I just had to provide a safe place for herself and her son afterwards.
I could trust in her, and so, I would leave the rest to her.
As I passed her as I was being led to my room inside the manor, as she was led outside of the manor, no words were exchanged between us as we only looked in each other's eyes in thankfulness for the other being there, and understanding each other's suffering, before I palmed her a letter, filled with some words of advice that I would leave for her.
After that, I was led to my room, where Ms. Rylvia placed me by the window so that I could watch Cor as she left.
Finally, as the dust that the last carriage kicked up disappeared into the horizon, I wheeled myself to my bed and got into it, thinking about the future that we would all face.
But, in all actuality, I was just sad that I wouldn't be able to see Cor like that, that cheerful, motherly side of her, ever again.
That was just that truth of the matter, and so, I just cried softly in my bed, as I eventually fell asleep.
